Update - Version 1.007

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - Linux - mission 8-2 fixed wrong paths in XML file
  • fix - changed path colors to avoid purple and magenta at the same time, was prominent at mission 5-2
  • fix - Arsenal, Radar, and Bank stations have tower commands for shooting ships such as "Closest", "First, "Last" etc.
  • fix - if you use auto waves, the level timer resets every wave, if not it counts the whole level
  • fix - drone station shoot on your own objects !!! - making damage
  • feature - adjusted description for rocket launcher towers, explaining rocket damage impact on multiple enemies
  • feature - added boost icons on towers if tower is boosted for power, range or interest
  • feature - added rendering of mission number above the Stats during the game level format is "station"-"mission"
  • feature - added icon over mission preview image showing if you already won or lost - yellow icon = won, red icon = lost, icon is relevant only for CLASSIC mode

Update - Version 1.006

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - enemies stop coming, sometimes
  • fix - rebalanced mission 9-1, last wave is relaxed now
  • fix - rebalanced mission 6-2, last 4 waves are relaxed now
  • fix - adjusted, increased, area for selecting the enemy when gliding along the path
  • fix - enemy info mixes with tower info when mouse over tower at the Towers panel
  • fix - when tower is destroying enemy, we were missing visual for that one list hit from tower toward the enemy
  • feature - at post level screen, below score table, added display of your previous rank, if case you moved up on the leaderboard
  • feature - changed colors of some towers to reflect better what shields they have better impact on

Update - Version 1.005

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - if you decide to cancel building Drone Station your credits would be consumed
  • fix - if you decide to cancel building Navigation Tower your credits would be consumed
  • fix - when you hide paths, drone path was still rendering
  • fix - shortened New Wave visual announcement down to 2 seconds
  • fix - friendly ships and buildings now properly explode when destroyed by enemy
  • fix - when speed set to FAST - enemies now shoot in proper shorter interval
  • fix - when mission is timed, at the end when timer runs out, it would display huge number and continue counting down
  • fix - when going back from mission to the Command Bridge screen, your latest selection and game mode was not selected, the selection is saved to the save game
  • feature - if you click on enemy, its info will be displayed in the Info Panel
  • feature - leaderboard is added to Victory/Defeat screen -> it also shows you now if you managed to improve your score

Update - Version 1.004

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - mouse being non-responsive on the game level -> it would skip clicks and selecting towers was quite difficult
  • fix - particles don't fly so far away during explosion when speed is set to FAST
  • feature - added rendering for velocity graph along the path - where track is wider that means enemies go faster on that section of the path, if track is narrow that's the section where enemies will slow down - this should resolve issues what some players see as change of speed along the path - that is all by design
  • feature - added keyboard shortcut to toggle velocity graph rendering -> key [V] - please note, rendering of velocity graph by default is turned off

Update - Patch 0.3

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - inflicting damage issue when speed is changed from speed to fast and vice versa - we won't claim this is 100% but improvement is such that we don't see this to be an issue anymore, please report if this still feels wrong
  • fix - rockets and missiles properly speed up and slow down when speed of the game is changed
  • fix - enemies stop coming at some point - we found out a code which might have caused this and patched it - if this still happens to someone, please be kind and report the case
  • fix - rebalanced Beacon element on mission 5-1 to have a bit more health - this was critical issue for having this mission very hard to solve as a victor
  • fix - removed Power Station as a tower and its achievement - this tower is prepared for future use and right now it makes no sense, thanks to a user who noticed this
  • fix - when tower is upgraded - damage for towers which fire continous laser beam Damage Per Second would be degraded
  • fix - preview for enemy waves in ENDLESS mode was showing wrong hit points value
  • fix - automatic position of window in windowed mode is now set to CENTER of the monitor
  • feature - improved visuals for laser fires and Shocker tower
  • feature - added particles every time enemy is hit and not destroyed yet
  • feature - every enemy path is now rendered in different color
  • fix - LINUX ONLY - WARNING - changed location of the save game to be queried by SDL_GetPrefPath -> most likely your new save game path is "home/.local/share/OceanMedia/SolarDivision"
  • fix - adjusted description of the game at the store page, saying that this is tower defense game


Little note on version numbers. At the main menu, in lower right corner, you can see the version of the game.
Right now it is set as 1.003, where 1 means it is full release, while 003 means it is patch 0.3.
So when you start the game next time and if you notice different number than what you remember was before, that means an update was released and you
can always check at the game page description to see what's new.
I'm not sure if everyone knew that we are doing it this way and I wanted to communicate this so you can better understand the correlation between patch number and game version number.

Update - Patch 0.2

Patch has been released today with following aspects of the game updated:


  • fix - game level is shown for a second after victory screen is finished
  • fix - towers can be selected while drone station is in the middle of creation
  • fix - no enemies would show up if Next Wave is clicked and still no tower is placed on the level
  • feature - added all towers sfx under options dialog -> allows you to hear all towers fire at once

Update - Patch 0.1

Patch has been released today with following points updated:


  • rebalancing mission #2 at Sofia Station - it was way too difficult
  • enemies DON'T START automatically ANYMORE when you place first tower on the grid -> now, player can start NEXT WAVE at will
  • if you check the box for "Auto waves"
  • fixed issue with purple range over tower UPGRADE button

Update - Full Release

Today we have made full release of the game with following updates:


  • 30 missions
  • 6 different challenge modes
  • Steam Achievements
  • 180 Steam leaderboards
  • tutorial
  • towers and aliens encyclopedia
  • rebalanced first 10 levels


Additional 15 missions will be released in following weeks, where every week we expect to release 3 new missions.
These missions will be released as regular updates, not as DLC and players won't be charged any money for that content.
This was our promise during Early Access and we will keep it.

Because we decided to rebalance first 10 levels, number of score boards had to be reset.

I would like to express special thanks to user "The Alpha And Omega" on great discussion and suggestions on improving the game.
Dude, you ended up in game credits and whole ZeroBit Games team appreciate your contribution.

There are couple of other polish and updates that we plan in the near future, such as:

  • localization to other languages (DE, IT, ES, FR, RU, HR)
  • gamepad and Steam controller support
  • we are exploring idea to release level editor - this is still under question mark

Update #10 - fixes to check points system

Hi everyone,

in this update following items have been worked on:

  • when check point is restored wave will NOT start automatically
  • when checkpoint transition is running, towers are vanishing one by one
  • when all enemies in one wave are terminated, all flying missiles and rockets are cleared/destroyed


That's pretty much it. Some little improvements to make the game more enjoyable.
