Space Company Simulator will put you in charge of assembling new rockets. You will choose from a variety of components, including:
Fuel tanks
Engines
Utility modules
Grid fins
Rocket struts
Utility modules
And more
You start by selecting the rocket blueprint. In the example above, the Small Rocket “Wolf-3” has been chosen - a small, uncomplicated rocket, capable of carrying a limited cargo into the air. Its construction takes 13 turns by default.
By investing in the Component Market, a large selection of components becomes available for purchase. To enhance the rocket above, two components were purchased:
Small Prototype Engine “Contender” MK-01 - a prototype low thrust engine that can be used with lightweight payloads only. Due to its nature, it is unlikely to be suitable for prolonged use.
Prototype Fuel Tank “Donkey” FT-1 - a prototype liquid fuel tank, allowing for simple rocket tests and lifting a light object into the air. It can have a problem with ensuring the required amount of fuel to get out of the atmosphere.
Prototype Cargo Bay CRB-01 - a prototype version of the cargo hold, designed for use in small rockets. Its level of sophistication and performance leaves a lot of room for improvement, but it will be just right for testing.
Small Strut LDB-01 - a lightweight version of the strut used to reinforce the rocket’s supporting structure. Its low bending strength is compensated for by its use in truss systems, and its weight allows it to be used effectively on small objects and rockets.
Small Grid Fins LS-1 - thanks to the Grid Fins, this rocket is controllable during the landing sequence. This substandard version is not very advanced, but it is enough to bring our rockets back to the ground. In most cases.
HGA I - the HGA antenna generates an extremely strong signal that allows better communication with the base.
IVA Suit - a basic suit used inside spacecraft. Not suitable for spacewalks.
After assembling its components, each rocket can be tested to determine the probability of a successful launch. Lastly, the rocket is assigned to a mission and awaits its start.
With that knowledge, you’re ready to build your first rocket and launch it into space!
Loans
If you read our previous article about finances and how to manage them, then you’re on the right track to becoming a prospective CEO. However, sometimes you might slip up and find yourself in desperate need of some additional cash. Or your business plan might require investing a significant amount of money at the beginning for long-term benefits. In such cases, a loan may come in handy.
To apply for a loan, your company must first meet some essential requirements, such as:
Having a certain minimum value and an average income
Not exceeding a certain maximum value of remaining debts
Having a certain lifespan
Loans have two payment types: singular and repetitive. The former requires you to pay the whole amount at once, while the latter is split into regular smaller chunks.
So, do you think you’re ready for the October 24 Early Access release? Make sure to check out previous articles about the game’s mechanics:
In order to gain various long-term benefits, you may decide to call a conference in your Conference Center. Each conference can support one of the four departments: Science, Finance, Production, or HR.
Each department has three conferences: one basic and two complex. Basic conferences are unlocked from the start, while complex ones require unlocking the corresponding PR perk.
There are multiple temporary benefits from calling conferences:
Increase a department’s points gain
Get additional income
Increase learning speed at the University
Gain more prestige
Improve lobbyist efficiency
Increase worker development
Improve worker morale
Each conference has a certain financial cost and a cooldown time. Additionally, the company cannot call conferences more than once every four weeks.
That’s it for today’s feature overview. Don’t forget to check out the previous announcements to learn more about other mechanics:

Release Date & Early Access
Hi everyone! We know we’ve kept you waiting for the release date announcement for too long, but the time has finally come for the big news. Space Company Simulator will be released in Early Access on October 24, 2019.
We are aware that there are two things we need to address.
Firstly, we have missed the scheduled Q3 release. We are all putting in overtime to deliver the best space company management experience we can and we believe that these extra couple of weeks will allow us to launch a game we will all be satisfied with. After all, a delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever, as Shigeru Miyamoto once said.
Secondly, we have decided to release the game in Early Access. Although we have stated that the development can be tackled without Early Access, we would like to take advantage of such a possibility and seek your feedback before we put the Version 1.0 label on it. While in Early Access, the game will be updated continuously based on your suggestions and reports. Help us make Space Company Simulator the game we all want to play.
We’d like to thank you for your patience and support. You can expect more news from us as we approach the October 24 release.
See you in the stars, INTERMARUM & All in! Games
Failing to plan is planning to fail
In Space Company Simulator, the gameplay is based on turns. A single turn represents seven days of the company’s lifetime and there are four turns during each month. Each move can take you a long way, so you have to be sure it’s the direction you want to go!
Most of the in-game actions that influence the progress of your company take a certain amount of turns, including:
Building a rocket
Fulfilling a contract
Taking out loans
Testing components
Researching new technologies
It’s your task to carefully plan your actions. Some of them, such as researching technologies, can only be performed one at a time. Make sure to arrange the work with care to reach the best outcome and let your company prosper.
As in chess, if you don’t have a few moves planned at a time, you might find yourself with no way out. Prepare to have your strategic skills challenged!
If you live in Poland, you can still get the September issue of major gaming magazine CD-Action, which gave Space Company Simulator a full-page preview.
Here’s an excerpt from the article, focusing on the replayability of the game:
The variety of areas where we focus our efforts should make the game worth replaying. To illustrate, pampered scientists will gladly design the most advanced rockets but neglected factory workers will stick the parts together with silver duct tape if we’re not careful. In another playthrough, well-trained stars of PR will provide us with excellent sponsorship connections but we'll have to spend the earnings to buy equipment and blueprints from the competition if we don't finance the technical departments adequately.
Space Company Simulator supports different approaches to reaching one of four victory types. It will require several attempts from the player to achieve them. Simply choosing another motto will make each playthrough unique.
Recently, we explained the importance of managing your company’s prestige. But that’s not the only factor you’ll have to keep in mind. After all, no company can function without a budget.
Here are some of the things you should take into consideration when distributing your funds and monitoring your account balance:
Department budgets & their perks
Benefits from the work of department managers
Conference bonuses or penalties for not fulfilling their pledges
Paying off loans
University costs for staff
Return of investment from unused funds
And more!
Prepare to analyze huge amounts of data and think long-term. You will need to be aware of everything and be ready to alter your strategy to fit the ever-changing situation.
When you start a new game in Space Company Simulator, you are asked to pick a motto. Be sure to give this special consideration since it will define the early strategy of your company, as each motto comes with unique starting bonuses. Craft the strategy with first and second priority departments in mind and excel in the early stages of the space race.
SCIENCE CULTURE
I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years, unless we spread into space. There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet. But I'm and optimist. We will reach out to the stars. - Stephen Hawking, Astrophysicist
The first priority of the company: Science department
The second priority of the company: Industry department
ENGINEERING INGENUITY
If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough. - Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO
The first priority of the company: Industry department
The second priority of the company: Science department
FINANCIAL SHARKS
Let's face it, space is a risky business. I always considered every launch a barely controlled explosion. - Aaron Cohen, NASA Administrator
The first priority of the company: Financial department
The second priority of the company: PR department
HARMONY
When I orbited Earth in the spaceship, I saw for the first time how beautiful our planet is. Mankind, let us preserve and increase this beauty, and not destroy it! - Yuri Gagarin, Russian Astronaut
Balanced development of the company: Financial, PR, Scientific, Production departments
For more information about particular departments, check out our previous announcements:

Raise the Prestige
As the CEO of a space company, it’s up to you to maintain the company’s public image. The popularity of the company is represented by its Prestige value.
The prestige is influenced by several factors:
Work of department managers
Funding for the PR department
Conference bonuses
Worker morale
Growth from department perks
Finished contracts or penalties for not completing contracts
And more
After reaching a certain amount of Prestige, the company receives access to new lobbyists, who allow you to receive increased funds from investors. Manage your reputation well and your company will prosper!
You already know the importance of the PR & HR, Science, and Production facilities. They are all key components of a successful space company, but they also require funds to be built. Now that's where the Finance departments come into play!
Administration - the department responsible for overseeing the company's budget
Space Programs - departments responsible for various space missions:
• Rocket Program
• Satellite Program
• Tourism Program
• Moon Program
• Space Station Program
• Mars Program
• Neo (deep space) Program
As the CEO of the company, you will decide which space programs to invest in first.
We won the moon race; now it's time for us to live and work on Mars, first on its moons and then on its surface. ~Buzz Aldrin
