It's with genuine disappointment that we have to tell you development on Space for Sale has ended. Simply put, the game didn't perform as we needed it to commercially, and continuing development wasn't sustainable. This was a tough call, and we understand it's frustrating news for those who were looking forward to the game.
We poured a lot of effort into Space for Sale, believing in its potential. However, sometimes things just don't work out as planned, and we have to face those realities.
We truly appreciate the support of our Factoneers and Space Realtors – everyone who engaged with the game and our studio. Seeing your enthusiasm and creativity meant a great deal to us. We hope that even though our journey together on this project has ended, the spirit of our games will continue to resonate within the wider gaming community.
Thank you for being a part of it.
Sincerely,
Mirage Game Studios

Update.02: The Red Planet
Welcome to “Helnera”: The Red Planet
Greetings Space Realtors!
The Red Planet update is here, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to Helnera!
Close to the local star, this sizzling world offers HOT beaches, rich natural resources, and 11 exciting regions to uncover. From arid mountains to acidic peninsulas and the smoldering heart of Mount Deth, there’s no shortage of real estate opportunities—or challenges!
New Helneran Creatures, World Features & Constructions:
Bollwarks Skilled builders who prefer their privacy but can become aggressively protective of their homes. Best to keep things neighborly unless you want trouble!
Stonecrows These rare creatures defy biology and geology alike. Catching a closer look might unlock new research, but good luck—they're as skittish as they are fascinating.
World Feature: “Mount Deth” Despite the intimidating name, Mount Deth (which totally means “friendship” in the ancient Hoxolot language) is a prime source of energy. Harnessing its lava flow with the right tech could be a game-changer!
Base Building: “Synthide Extractor” Extract valuable Synthetics from Helnera’s mineral-rich soil to fuel your expansion.
New Main Project and Events
On top of the new planet we are also introducing a bunch of new events to be explored. Note that these can be played on both the new red planet Helnera, as well as the previous green planet Autica.
Main Project: “Fuseburner Contract” Team up with the eccentric Sir Fuseburner to prototype an invention, come up with a stellar marketing strategy, and (hopefully) prosper!
Event: “Galob Predicament” Someone’s in a sticky situation on the planet, and their distress signal is counting on you to save them.
Event: “Crusty Crustaceans” The elusive subterranean Rock Lobster has emerged—and its odd behavior might just spell trouble! General Improvements
An update wouldn’t be complete without us sprucing things up and tweaking. Below, you’ll find a list of improvements and bug fixes!
Revised multiplayer connectivity
Interface Polish: Updated glyphs and icons, increased readability, layout adjustments, color tuning and much more!
Enabled deletion of developments: Sometimes you need to abandon something to start over fresh!

So if you've been on the fence about Space for Sale, this is a great time to try out the demo!

Update.01: Lift-Off - imminent!
Greetings Space Realtors!
We are so excited to present to you our first proper update of our Roadmap for Space for Sale; Lift-Off.
The game has been out for a month now and we’ve been getting tons of great feedback from our players and this update aims to remedy a lot of those points! Our focus was on expanding the available planet, Autica as well as UI improvements, and improving the clarity of the game's resource management and reputation systems.
Let’s get into the details!
NEW EVENT Starting off; we’re happy to present a new event : Bloomin' Blarfairs. It’s up to you to help the Glorpian Gardener Glick Glorpenschmirz in her mission to attract Bombus Meliplanians, or Space Bees, to your planet and save the elusive Blarfair Flower. They’re fickle little bastards so it’s going to require vigilance and a good throwing arm to get the job done!
We have improved the Ending of the Main Project with Professor V. Smart adding a more satisfactory conclusion.
We’ve also looked into fixing the Ashdillo Research Project for players playing with the peaceful modifier, if you know you know.
HUB IMPROVEMENTS Moving on we have a bunch of Hub improvements to report!
You will now be able to move buildings in your base. As players expanded their bases a lot of you reported that the building placement wasn’t proper Feng Sui with your new real estate. So now if you’re unhappy with the placement of a building just pick it up and place it wherever your heart desires!
Hub inventory is now global, so any materials you gather or refine and then deposit in one Hub will now be usable in a base across the planet. Great for Co-op play!
One of a kind constructions can be Deconstructed and placed elsewhere now and will show a special rule 'limited to one construction per development/region.
The Builders, Botanists and Scientists will receive new houses to better emphasize their faction alignment, these houses will come with new icons as well. They also just look cooler!
A couple of constructions have been improved; The Exogarden has gotten an entirely new appearance and the Logistics center has been given exciting animations!
We’ve also added an entirely new base building but it’s a secret that you will have to discover while playing!
RESOURCES UPDATES There will be an emphasis on what resources you gain and lose when you build things and a pop up showing the reputation you'll have in the region. There are no more local resources, so no more shipping costs. Minerals, Metals, Organics, Synthetics, Machinery, Biofuel and Electronics are now all global.
Expertise, Appeal and Worker slots are still local though. Real estate is all about Location, after all!
To aid you, and to increase the importance of money, a market will be added to the Hub, to help you trade when you don't have the resources you need.
UI IMPROVEMENTS The UI in general has gotten a pretty hefty update.
First off we've added a top bar to show you what resources you have while in the Hub.
The help sections have been overhauled, the text turned into articles, that will show up for the player when they are relevant. These will feature images so the information is presented more clearly.
When you hover over world features with constructions you see what it costs and what it yields. The teleporter will now show more information when you teleport as well. Hub and region information will be displayed. We’ve added communication to nudge Players to start a new prospect when finishing a scenario. And finally a lot of text has been updated for clarity.
PLAYER TOOLS The Jackhammer’s mining speed is now increased! Giving further incentive to invest in and carry one.
The Buggy will now no longer protect you from damage, after all, it doesn’t quite make sense that an open vehicle would protect you from the hazards of Space Realty life.
WRAP UP These are the main features that will be added in the upcoming update Lift Off along with a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks.
If we review our Living Road Map we’ll be heading straight into content production mode as we enter the production milestone for the Red Planet ”Hellnera”.
We would want to thank everyone who has played the game and participated during our first month of Early Access. With this update and with your feedback we feel we have a solid foundation to start adding fun content to!
We hope you enjoy the update!
Thank you for playing and see you in space! 🚀 /Toby
