Personal HUB
HUB allow you to manage your missions, resources and inventory. In it you will find the necessary information on your tasks, information on the amount of raw materials you have, and what items you can make from them. You will even have the ability to recycle broken parts and recover raw materials. Besides, you will be able to check the status of your license.
Let's talk about licenses
The license is not only an intracorporate way of demonstrating what level of ability a contract employee has, but also serves as a kind of resume for that astronaut. Its levels, however, admit the player character primarily to more complex tasks - and equipment.

First, we want to show you the initial look of the new UI in the game. It's more clean. More intuitive and, of course, more interactive. Of course, this is not the final form, and we point out that it may still change.
No mechanic is complete without a wrench. There is a good reason why wrench graphic is a common symbol for any kind of work. It’s simple and straight to the point – just grab a wrench and work your muscles until it is done. Just don’t overdo it, or you will end up ripping or tearing these defenseless, fragile components.

Let's talk about the Screwdriver. It may seem to be an ordinary screwdriver, but it’s much more fun than that. With a set of replaceable tips, powerful electric motor and rattle mode, it will quickly become your best buddy. Astronauts are reminded that playing with screwdriver buttons outside of performed maintenance work is considered immature and an unnecessary waste of mission resources.

Today we would like to share some more about the next tool - Handheld computer integrated with space suit. It provides you with blueprints critical for completing repairs. It also allows to control the HUD of your space suit, providing with very useful overlay information that will help you identify parts or review mission objectives. It is also capable of connecting to Programmable Logic Controllers in order to upload software patches.
By the way, there was a gentle wind on Mars, which raises the ubiquitous dust and significantly conquers the immersion of riding on the red planet.

In the last post we introduced to you the IR Scanner, today the smart meter. Handheld electric meter. It is a simple, but versatile device allowing to measure electric signals and diagnose issues with digital data streams.
It has 4 operating modes. If you want to measure alternating or direct currents, you will use AC/DC modes. To determine the exact frequency of a signal you can use the Hz mode. For more advanced uses, OSC mode, or Oscilloscope mode, allows monitoring signal quality for potential interferences of analog signals. You will need it to perform electrical repairs. We will cover more tools in future posts.

Welcome to the next Space Mechanic Simulator Developer Insights from the last weeks are here! The last few weeks have been pretty intense in a good way.
We managed to finish the new map of Mars. It is much larger than its predecessor. As a result, we have room to hide various finds.
As we mentioned in previous posts, we will put additional tools at your disposal to diversify the gameplay. In the screenshot above you can see the IR scanner in action. It will have several modes that will allow you to better diagnose the temperature problem. Interestingly, you will have to change these modes yourself by clicking on the device's buttons. The IR scanner is not the only tool you will be able to interact with. We have more.
