  • Fixed the bug where the camera would not stop focusing a planet
  • Fixed bug where enemies killed by sentry turret or environmental hazards would not drop ammo
  • Enemy health bars should now disappear instantly instead of sometimes remaining for a frame or two
  • Video settings will now only save when pressing Apply
  • Fixed bug where Larva mama corpse would fly away randomly on death
  • Healthbar should no longer look like you lose health when adding more max hp without changing the actual hp
  • Fixed bug where some weapons would deal double damage if assigned to both actions and pressing both actions at the same time
  • Fixed scoreboard bug where you could scroll to an empty page (and get stuck on gamepad)
  • Fixed scoreboard bug where switching page would sometimes not update the ship preview
  • Taking damage over time now properly plays ship damage effects in short intervals

  • Added small credits text in main menu

Bug fixes



  • A few weapons were missing sound effects after the last update
  • Fixed issue where the pause menu buttons would lose focus and quit to menu instead of resuming the game.


Also made some behind the scenes adjustments to Hangar ship save files. There should be no noticable change.

Balancing


There’s been quite a lot of crystal inflation during early access. We’ve tried tuning this a bit by adjusting a lot of values.
Crystal related

  • Reduced the average amount of body drops.
  • Reduced chance of double crystals on Moons
  • Reduced chance of crystals in asteroids
  • Adjusted prices of a few modules
  • Rerolling the shop now costs 1->2->3 crystals
  • Observatory now gives ammo on planet explore instead of crystals

Modules

  • Increased Stinker poison size and duration slightly
  • Soul Stealer automatically picks up souls on enemy death
  • Soul Stealer now requires a lot less souls to repair ship
  • Hull now has 4 slots
  • Larger saw area, reduced energy usage and some audio and visual polish
  • Reduced rapid laser range slightly

Enemies

  • Spitter death explosion is larger and does more damage
  • Larva Mamas now spawn eggs that hatch into larvae to prevent instant damage when larvas spawn
  • Reduced larva mama damage

Other

  • Increased module pickup distance slightly

Swarm


It is time that the Swarm game mode got some more love

  • Enemies increase health when looping
  • Repair per crystal is reduced after first loop
  • Planet hazards are now active after the first loop

Bug fixes



  • Fixed localization bug when dying from lack of oxygen
  • Fixed bug where boomerangs would sometimes return too fast
  • Fusion reactors no longer make noise in the main menu
  • Fixed bug where Soul Stealer would not get souls on the first level it was attached.
  • Lotus flower now recharges even if kept in cargo during warp
  • Added an extra failsafe to prevent enemies from ending up outside the level
  • Fixed bug where the recycle bar would not close when exiting build mode

Other



  • Adjusted the Bubble model skin, I hope you like it
  • Adjusted crossbow arrow visuals
  • Adjusted Hull model
  • Adjusted goo planet visuals to a more yellow color and added toxic barrels in it
  • Changed reflective armor color to blue so that all armor types match basic color scheme
  • Added some new loading screen tips
  • Shop signs are no longer in english
  • New Workshop model with number that reflects repair gained
  • New Scorpion model to help with visibility
  • Hangar should now properly categorize ships from Normal, Hard, and Daily

Bug Fix



  • Fixed a bug with the Soul Stealer that was causing the warp portal to not spawn on a certain type of level.


Apologies for the problem with today's daily and any other runs you've had cut short by this. Thanks again for the bug reports and screenshots that helped us track it down!

  • 2 new model skins available, Diamond and Flower
  • 3 new paints. I heard you like dark skins so here are 3 new ones
  • When using a controller it will now rumble when taking damage
    Drones
  • They now have a small energy bar that shows how long they can continue
  • Drones teleport back to the ship when they run out of energy instead of chasing your ship
  • Shield Drones now communicate a little bit so they don’t cover the same enemy at the same time, making multiple shield drones a lot more effective
  • Mining drones can now mine twice instead of once before having to recharge

Balancing



  • Bodies recycle crystal gain reduced from 5->3
  • Crystals for buying skins can no longer be earned in Swarm mode.
  • Increased Swarm mode difficulty curve
  • Now has reduced crystal gain per loop
  • Increased ammo usage of machine gun

Bug fixes



  • After the last update’s camera changes the screenshake was behaving a bit strange. It has been fixed
  • Shield Drones would sometimes be rotated strangely where the drone would not be positioned over the shield as expected.
  • Fixed Gas flowers jerky movement
  • Adjusted how the camera follows planet exploration to solve a bug where it would sometimes not stop focusing the planet
  • Fixed Laser shotgun size issue where it was treated like a half module in certain positions.

Other



  • The rotate instruction in build mode will no longer show up for modules where rotation does not matter, like bodies, thrusters etc.
  • Minor color adjustments to Tubes and Bubble model skins

New stuff



  • You can now purchase unlocks for your ship with crystals collected in the classic game mode. These include color variations and some model changes
  • Sentinel enemy has a completely new alien visual instead of the robot model
  • Chaser has new animations and more telegraphed shots
  • Turtle has a new cleaner model with new animations
  • Cloud Saves. Steam should now sync your save file.
  • An “Are you sure?” popup shows up before abandoning a run
  • Adjusted camera and physics to allow for smoother camera movement. Everything should feel a lot smoother and it could also help prevent motion sickness.

  • Toxic launcher - New model and larger area of effect with more damage

Other

  • The last few levels max size has been reduced
  • Finding home now grants 5000 bonus score
  • Moved planet clouds back a bit to stop them from covering the action too much


Bug fixes



  • Boomerangs should no longer get stuck in the air
  • Escape should once again be working to exit build mode
  • Re-enabled build mode cushions that push ship away from walls and planets to prevent you from building into the wall
  • Fixed how exploration would sometimes be inconsistent with larger ships.
  • Boomerang - Boomerang speed should now be frame rate independent


Other



  • Ship will no longer be on fire in the Victory screen
  • When finishing the daily and the scoreboard shows up, the background will fade out to make the ship preview in the UI more readable.
  • Removed the “Saved oxygen” score calculation when playing without oxygen limit.
  • Main menu now has the same pretty skybox as the in-game World 1 levels.

  • We have a new background system. It should look familiar, but different. It's another step towards making the game run smoother even on lower end devices. Doesn't hurt that it looks better as well!
  • All players now have a rank next to their name on the Daily Challenge scoreboard. This rank is based on the total score they have accumulated in all Daily Challenges
  • Boomerang can now throw a new boomerang slightly before an old boomerang returns
  • Some localization changes
  • Better looking background suns

Bug fixes



  • Drone pads on wreckages should now be darker, just like the other modules
  • Fixed bug where double laser and battle drone would not be able to shoot after having them in cargo while warping
  • Rerolling the shop for a third time gives you a new set of items instead of looping back to the first set
  • Activated the Homing Launcher... Oops forgot the checkbox!
