Hi all We hope you are well and safe during these tough times. We are still working to try finish the migration to steam networking. This is a huge task and is taking more time than we had anticipated. Our programming team is hard at work trying to get this done. As Spider Wars is coming to an end we have started work on a much smaller Game with the Art team in order to try get some more funding for the studio.
Things are tough for everyone at the moment and we wish you all the best of luck.
Hi all just a quick update on the situation of the update. The Update will be delayed until at least January 2020 as we have no other choice than to redo the entire networking in the project. This is a time consuming task. We hate to delay updates but we would rather take longer to deliver something playable, with quality, than rushing out an update. Thanks for your patience.
Hi all, just a quick update on the state of Beta build. Beta will be on the way in the next week or two.
This update will focus on the multiplayer component of the game.
The Insects will be more stable on the clients side.
The open play map has a few new Points of Interest.
We also are including a marker to clearly show the mining zones more clearly for low render distances.
More insects will be added like the Wasp and the Fly.

Changes to Multiplayer.
+ Added loot for Game play time, 30min playtime per drop.
+ Modified Loot Crystal to alternate growing locations,
20 min between drops.
+ Fixed lag when mining a loot crystal

This is our biggest update to date includes .....
Multiplayer open play. Players can do what ever they want in this game mode. Players can also mine skins from the "Loot Crystals"
These can be traded or sold on the steam market.

Skin system implementation
We have implemented a wide range of common skins that each Tarantula class can access along with class specific armour uncommon skin. These skins will be obtainable in the new map and on the open play mode.
Fight and defend resource extraction sites from other players and you may find yourself lucky to obtain the rare Void armour skin for the Artillery class!
We are striving to bring this update to you as soon as possible and have reached a near complete state, we are just ensuring that we fix any remaining glitches before going live to give you the best experience we can.

Post Beta Announcement
We are preparing to release into beta, which will be the culmination of a years worth of work put into the game. This update has taken so long to arrive because the core of multiplayer has been changed quite a lot and needed to be fixed properly before updating.
We have also started working on Steam Inventory service for Spider Wars. This means initially Spider Skins will be coming into the game obtainable in-game. You will be seeing the first batch of common loot type skins that will be expected.
This will be the last chance to get Spider Wars at it's reduced price of $5. Once we go into Beta we will be increasing it's price accordingly to the content that has been put into the game.

Internal Beta Test and Glider movement rework
Good day!
We recently ran an internal beta test on the multiplayer.The purpose of the beta stress the load onto the server with the new open world multiplayer map. This test ran smoothly with 6 players, highlighted some minor issues and gathered some good feedback from those involved.
We plan to have more, larger scale test soon where we will involve the community on specific days, more information regarding this will be posted in the Spiders Wars steam group.

The Glider class has also received a update to its movement system as we thought it was too powerful compared to the other classes. This was also done to bring the gliders movement mechanics more in line with its name as previously it was more of a flyer than a glider. The Glider is still remains one of the most effective classes when it comes to mobility. We have also updated the particles to the gliders thrust and boost particles along with some other spider abilities.
