Frozen Gobble Snipes
Greetings knights!
The cold of winter is descending on Cradle. To keep knights moving during the most extreme cold conditions, Spiral HQ has issued chilling new gear. Blend into any frozen environment with frosty gear and accessories.
While these items look frozen solid on the outside--for camo reasons, and also because it looks formidable--they're mighty toasty on the inside. Think of them as Cradle's most efficient travel coffee mug. Take care with the new permafrost aura as it may leave a puddle in warmer places.

Knights will also notice that our seasonal buddies, the Gobble Snipes, are on their yearly migration to...we're not really sure where. Hmm.
A few of these Gobble Snipes seem to want to stay in a few guild halls. At least, we think that's what it means when they enclose themselves in Gobble Snipe Boxes. Should you wish to host one of these fluffy creatures in your Guild Hall, these boxes can be had through December 1, 2016. Check out the details here!
The Apocrean Harvester Is Back!
ALERT KNIGHTS!
We have confirmed that the Apocrean Harvester is causing trouble again. Spiral HQ needs your help! For a detailed brief on Cradle's previous encounters with this nefarious entity, go here.
From now through December 5th, venture onto the Grasping Plateau, free trapped souls, and earn Apocrean Sigil tokens for your bravery. Then, use these tokens at the Obelisk of Creation to craft Obsidian weapons and the Grasping Aura.
Our information is clear, you don't want to get caught out there alone--definitely bring your friends with you on this mission, and try not to lose sight of them!
The Auction House will also be stocking some Apocrean themed guild hall furniture to give your guild hall the sense of dread that's all the rage this season.
Fire it Up!

The sensitive equipment at Spiral HQ has detected a temperature increase in the fiery depths. We know there are those who have been touched by Vog and given a blazing passion adventure. We need your assistance to ignite the courage in others, and cauterize the flow of enemies within the Clockworks.
These firebrand knights wear equipment specifically designed to blend into the smoldering environment. You’ll know who the most elite of these knights are by the burning embers they leave in their wake. When the smoke clears they are left singed, yet standing.
Volcanic Prize Boxes are available from now through November 16th, 2016.

Dark Harvest Festival Returns!

The Dark Harvest Festival makes its return! The Punkin King and his gourdlings are on the loose and causing sweet, sweet chaos in the Clockworks!
Find the Punkin King in the daily prestige mission, The Dark Harvest, but don't let down your guard elsewhere, because he could also show up when you least expect it! Collect candy tokens, then trade with Maskwell in Haven Town Square for:
Should you find yourself in possession of any interesting crafting material as a result of a Punkin King encounter, visit the Mysterious Alchemy Machine.

Rangers Lead the Way!
Greetings Knights!
A few select knights are brave and crazy enough to drop behind enemy lines. Lieutenant Desna and her elite Recon Rangers are the first line of attack. Dangerous Prize Boxes feature items favored by Desna and the Rangers. Not only is this gear is designed to intimidate, but also do as much damage to the enemy as possible. As requested by Desna, their armor is equipped with razor-sharp spikes and other hazardous features, because “Even a dead Ranger should make their foes bleed.”
Recon Rangers are trained never to give up. Each Ranger is outfitted with a shield known as The Bitter End--the name serves as a reminder to all as to precisely how far a Recon Ranger is willing to go.

Tortodrone Migration!
Spiral HQ calls upon you to once again assist the Tortodrones on their Long Migration. This is proving irresistible to fiendish denizens of the Clockworks who are gathering tortodrone parts for mysterious purposes! Take up arms to investigate and defend against this horrible mischief, and explore the Clockworks to gather fiendish glyphs.
Be sure to collect Ancient Shell materials from the Ancient Grove to craft 3*, 4* and 5* Tortodrone handguns and shields at the Mysterious Alchemy Machine!
The Spiral HQ intel forecasting interns predicts the Tortodrone migration will continue through August 15, 2016. We’re counting on you to protect the magnificent Tortodrones!
Iron Guild Hall Update

Spiral HQ “Hall Edition” is back and looking for some DIY knights to help revitalize their guild halls. Only the most advanced guilds can work together to create a hall that other knights would be envious of. Use the new Iron and Copper furniture to create your very own place to train, strategize, or hang out.
Release notes:
- Guild Hall upkeep prices have been significantly lowered.
- The Activities panel now gives you an option to see a list of all open Guild Halls.
- New guild hall furniture available. Copper and Iron items will rotate weekly. If what you're looking for isn't there, check back again.
- New guild hall theme “Divine” is available.
- New Rain Storm environment
- New ‘empty’ room: Chess Board.
- New Modular counter tops added to birdsong. These attach seamlessly to each other to allow you to create custom counters, barriers, etc.
- Guild Bonds: A ticket which turns into crowns once deposited in a guild’s treasury. Guild Bonds are not tradeable.
- Behind the scenes changes to update our libraries.
Chess Mini Prize Box:
Spiral Knights have always been strategic thinkers. What better way to brush up on those skills than a game of chess? Chess Minis are objects that can move anywhere in guild hall even when you’re not in design mode and will snap to the squares in the chess room. Each box contains a chess piece for your guild hall. The Chess Mini Prize Box is available in the supply depot through August 8th. Your move, Knights!

Black kats are once again storming the Moorcroft Manor Archives and consuming the precious tomes within! We need all knights of rank 4-1 and greater to gear up and retrieve Ancient Pages from these nefarious creatures.
Do the Kataclysmic Confrontation prestige mission and/or fight through kat levels in the Clockworks to find black kats. Then, visit Montague in Moorcroft Manor, or the Mysterious Crafting Machine in Haven, with your collection of Ancient Pages, to exchange for items:
If you “accidentally” perform a Dark Ritual and survive the encounter, you may find yourself in possession of a Black Kat Cowl or a Wicked Whisker. Wicked Whiskers, dropped for all present party members, allow you to craft the following gear:
If you have participated in a previous Kataclysmic Confrontation and still have Ancient Page tokens, they are still valid! Ancient Page tokens do not expire.
