We FINALLY made it! After lots of hard work and development behind the scenes, Spirittea has gone GOLD, which means development on the game has finished, and we're so proud of how our cute, cozy game has turned out! We could not be more excited and we know you all have been waiting patiently for this news, and now we're very nearly there!
We firstly want to thank all of you so much for the hype, support, and endless feedback you've given us along the way. Thanks to you, we've been able to implement your feedback and make Spirittea an even better game during development. This one's for you!
Now, I bet you all have some big questions, but I'm sure the biggest is:
WHEN ON EARTH IS SPIRITTEA LAUNCHING?
Well, to clear up one thing, we're DEFINITELY launching this year! But don't worry, because you'll be finding out the exact date VERY SOON! Be sure to keep an eye out in this space because we're going to be sharing more details with you in the coming week.
We hope you're all as excited as we are! Thank you again for following us on this incredible journey, we're so proud of Spirittea and we cannot wait for you to get your hands on it at last!
We're introducing you to another spirit! Last week, we introduced Morinoba, which you can check out below!
Our next spirit introduction is... Tikan!
It is hypothesized that the gradual movement of Tikan to an area is responsible for the coming of winter. Tikan are very old spirits that have walked the earth for millennia.
If you encounter any especially aggressive snowmen in winter, then Tikan might be the one to look out for...
Tikan is a fabulous looking smaller spirit who will only appear in winter, so keep your eyes peeled on your usual winter stroll, and don't get hit by any snowballs...

Previously, we've touched upon how important the environment is and how things are easily hidden away, so we thought this is the perfect time to briefly touch upon Spirit Vision!
As we mentioned, there's gonna be things that will look suspicious or out of place, however some of these things may not always be in plain sight!
When walking around, be sure to be tapping into your spirit vision often - some things will remain unseen and you'll have to use your spirit vision to spot them!
I wonder what's going on here?
Quests on unusual happenings won't always be from speaking to someone in town, you'll encounter them naturally on your travels, so be sure to check in with your spirit vision here and there while walking around!
Be sure to stock up on tea leaves from Tifa so you have plenty of Spirittea to drink when your spirit gauge depletes!

Dev Update - Meet the Spirits: Introducing Morinoba!
Hey everyone!
It's update time, and it's time for introductions to another spirit!
In our last update, we introduced Coronis, so be sure to check that out below!
Next up on the list... it's Morinoba!
Much of the folklore surrounding witches can be attributed to the work of Morinoba. This spirit enjoys the rich scent of wood and can often be found in forests.
Any suspicious vegetation coming from any bathtubs in town may be the work of Morinoba...
Morinoba is a bag of old bones, but she is of a decent size, so she'll need a generous amount of space in your baths! As you can probably tell, some of these spirits aren't the smallest, so it may be worth thinking of unlocking bathhouse upgrades as early as possible!

For this update, we wanted to talk a little more about the environment and why you should stay alert while walking round town.
You will of course have lots to do in Spirittea, including quests from your friends in town, and while starting some quests may be as simple as speaking to someone, others may sneak up on you in different ways...
The environment is a big part of that! The spirits are up to no good and hassling the people in town, however some of them may be getting up to other antics, so it's a good idea to keep your eyes peeled when walking around to see if you can spot anything strange or odd, for example...
WHY ARE THESE SNOWMEN ALIVE AND WHY ARE THEY PELTING ME WITH SNOWBALLS?!?
You'll start to notice things as the seasons change too, whether it's the environment or wildlife, so keep an eye out once they do and see if you can spot anything untoward...

Dev Update - Meet the Spirits: Introducing Coronis!
Hey everyone!
We're back with another update, and we're introducing you to another spirit!
In the last update, we introduced you to the adorable Borzo, so make sure to check that out if you haven't already!
The next spirit on the list is... Coronis!
When a structure carries more weight than it is suited for, it vents its frustration by exhaling a Coronis. They tend to dwell in old very lived-in buildings.
If you find any crows around town are behaving suspiciously, Coronis might just be the culprit...
He is a big boy and will need a fair amount of space in your baths, so make sure to leave plenty of room for him! He's gonna want to have a nice relaxing bath after carrying around that weight all day!

Dev Update - Game Engine
Hi everyone, it's time for another update!
So this update is a small and quick one, and is slightly different to the previous ones we've done, but in light of recent circumstances surrounding Unity's game engine, we thought it'd be a good idea just to update you on whether that means anything for Spirittea.
Thankfully, Spirittea is being made using the Game Maker engine, so there won't be any disruption to development, and we are still on track for launching this year!
We know there's been a lot of talk and nerves floating around with the future of a lot of games, so we wanted to ease those nerves and reassure you that Spirittea is still very much in active development, and we're working hard to bring you a game that we know you are going to fall in love with!
We're getting closer and closer to launch, and we cannot wait to share our plans with you!
With that being said, we leave you with some spooky Ramen noodles. See you in the next update!
Dev Update - Meet the Spirits: Introducing Borzo!
Hey everyone, it's update time!
So we've been giving you spoilers of everything you can find in Spirittea, including the hobbies, townspeople, bathhouse and much more, but we realised there's one thing you've not gotten to know much of... and that's the spirits!
The spirits of course are a huge part of Spirittea, and while we've only touched on them briefly, we wanted to give you the chance to get to know some of them! Each spirit has its own unique and mischievous personality, alongside some lore as to how they come about!
So, to kick things off, we're giving you the chance to say hi to... Borzo!
It is believed that a Borzo is born when a ball has received an overabundance of love from a dog. Borzo are friendly but can get involved in devious deeds if they spend too much time with troublesome spirits...
Borzo is a Fall spirit and TOO CUTE, I wonder which person in town he's got his eyes on hassling! With that cheeky looking face, we'll have to keep a close eye on him...

Dev Update - Karaoke
Hi everyone!
We thought for this update, we'd delve a little more into the various hobbies in Spirittea. There are many activities and mini-games you can take part in around town, whether it's fishing, digging, cooking and more! You won't be short of activities to do in Spirittea, whether it's alone or with a friend!
But for this update, we wanted to show you a sneak peek into Karaoke!
You'll find a cute Karaoke bar in town, where you can go and play the Karaoke mini-game! You'll have a variety of songs to choose from, so make sure to choose the one that best brings out your vocals! This mini-game will get challenging as you play, but with practice, you'll be smashing it in no time!
If you're ever feeling in the mood for a duet, then take a friend along with you and you can sing your hearts out together, and beat each other for the highest score!
Everyone around town has specific hobbies they like to do, so once you get to know them and make friends, you'll know what hobbies they like to do so they can tag along with you!

Dev Update - Early bird or night owl?
Hi everyone!
It's update time, and today we wanted to talk to you a little more about the freedom Spirittea gives you to play however you want, and that includes when you choose to sleep and stay awake!
Your schedule in Spirittea is ENTIRELY up to you, so if you want to be an early bird and wake up in the morning to do all of your daily activities, then go ahead! But if you prefer to sleep during the day and wander about at night, then of course you can do that too!
As long as you get the right amount of sleep for your fatigue, you can do whatever you like whenever you like, whether it's during the warm day or the cool summer evening!
There'll be plenty of secret things about that you'll only be able to find at certain times, especially at night, so it might be worth going for a bit of an evening stroll. I wonder what this could be...
The bathhouse has no limits either, so if you prefer to work in the bathhouse at night, then by all means take on the night shift!
Some of the people in town are night owls too, so you'll spot them hanging about and enjoying the quiet evenings.
