Version 0.6.2 (Beta 2)

-We've added the Subway area of the game, with moving trains!





-Added the assault rifle that can be picked up on the way through the underground to the Subway after defeating the first boss.
-Added cinematic of Albert and Rose on the train which marks the conclusion of Early Access in this build. When the cinematic finishes you will be returned to the title screen as the rest of the game is being worked on.

Bug Fixes
-We've fixed some issues when loading areas that could result in crashes to the desktop.

Development Note
This will be our last big content patch for a while, as we are doing our best to iron out bugs and issues, so the next series of patches will mostly be general improvements and bug fixes. We are also adding voice acting into the game which will be ready for the next beta.

-We've fixed an issue which would prevent gaining the achievement when defeating the boss.
-We've fixed an issue that would cause the crypt door to freeze.
-We've fixed an issue with the boss music still playing after defeat.

Version 0.6 (Beta 2)

-Suprise! The first boss has been added to the game. Defeating him and going into the crypt tunnel marks the new end of Early Access. The boss is very challenging and you will need all your skills that you've learned to take him down. Remembe, 180 degree turn works wonders here. This is just one of the bosses that will feature in the final game.

-We've added a cinematic between Albert and Rose when they meet at the pumpkin patch after Rose leaves Asylum looking for the train.

-Cemetary area and church added, with wolves guarding essential items for what's coming next.





-We've fixed some performance issues in the grounds

-We've improved error handling reducing crashes.

-We've added another achievement, for when you take down the boss.


Known Issues

-Collision outside Asylum is still not finished, this won't affect going up to the fence to proceed to next part, this will be fixed in a future patch.

-Voice acting is not present in this build, but will be coming very soon!

-We've added the master bedroom upstairs in the mansion, which has the Founder's Diary.

-Fixed unwalkable stairs outside mansion
-Fixed camera in the hallway of mansion that could obscure the bedroom camera when walking up to the cabinet.

-Fixed a bug outside Asylum that would cause a game lockup when re-entering the aslyum door.

-Fixed crashes from occuring when loading bigger scenes. e.g Grounds and Asylum when leaving doors and coming back in again.
-Fixed collision issue when coming back in from the gate making it appear that Albert is walking through the floor.
-Fixed a camera clipping out of bounds when walking up to the wall when in the lounge room getting the spade key.
-Fixed issue with zombie dogs still standing when they are killed.

Known Issues
-Gnarled trees outside the aslyum currently have no collision. This will be fixed in a future patch.
-Master's bedroom exit will freeze and show the loading screen instead of the door transition. However this doesn't affect gameplay. This will be fixed in a future patch.

-We've mitigated an issue that would cause the game to not switch to Rose when reaching the lab.

-We've added the first five Steam achievements. We will be adding more as development progresses.

Bug Fixes / Improvements
-Fixed the bug where getting Game Over would get stuck on the title screen, the game will now restart properly. This also affected loading a same from Game Over where you would still be dead on reload, so both functions restart the game.
-We've zoomed out the cameras in the lab as it was difficult to navigate, we've also added a zoomed out center camera of the room.
-We've added an extra camera to the elevator of the lab as it wasn't appearing properly.
-We've added the grounds map. Note maps are still static until we are confident we have finished the areas and will add the dynamic maps to match with movement tracking.
-We've added an extra camera to the upstairs of Asylum that hints round the corner as it was not immediately obvious that you could go there.
-Fixed a collision issue outside Asylum
-We've removed the monster by the stairs on entry of the game, as it is too quick to attack the player before they can get accustomed to the conrols.
-When there is no map we've changed 'MapName' to 'No Map Data' as this was placeholder text.
-We've added 'Controls' to the pause hint on the top left corner of the screen to indicate how to view controls with the P key or Start button on the controller.
-We've enabled Steam Cloud which will automatically back up your saves to the Steam Cloud service, so if you play from another computer you can pick up where you left off. Saves are stored in C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Spacefarer Games\SPIRITUS
-We've added a sound effect when using the typewriter to save.
-Added file in the audiatorium that hints at where the front door key is in Asylum.
-The office door downstairs in the Asykum is no longer locked.
-The dining hall is no longer locked in the Asylum.
-A key is now required for the patient's bedroom door.
-A document is left in the bathroom giving a clue where to find the patient's key.
-We've moved the camera on the left side of upstairs to show a door that wasn't visible from the viewpoint before, The door leads to a 'treatment' clinic.
-Added briefcase item in the treatment clinic (used for later)
-Fixed the Spacefarer logo cinematic from being stetched.
-We've fixed the transition between cameras in the lab.

Known Issues
-Sometimes you may need to enter the key code twice on the panel in the Lab. We are working to fix this bug in a future patch.
-Under certain scenarios, Rose may not take over from Albert. If this happens, load to a point before entering the lab and re-enter. We are working to fix this issue, however it will not affect gameplay.

Version 0.5.0 (Beta 1)

Excellent news! With this update we've finally reached the first beta phase, and there's lots of quality changes, new areas and Rose is finally playable!





-Rose is now playable when you reach the Lab section of the game, she will take over from Albert. Rose has ESP and monsters are less likely to be inclined to attack her. This is a mechanic that is going to be expanded upon. Rose has a seperate inventory to Albert, don't worry, your items are not lost. She starts with a combat knife, and no gun, so it's a little more difficult from here on out.

-Added cinematic when meeting with Rose in the lab.

-You can now explore the escape tunnel, that leads to the Sanctuary Asylum, a whole new section of the game. The Asylum is now the end point of Early Access.

-Note, once you reach the lab this is a point of no return, so before entering make sure you've grabbed everything you need before proceeding

-You'll notice the size of the game download has increased. This is because we've added new sections of the game and Rose's sections of the game. We are getting clsoe to getting most of the assets in the game, so the next patches will be smaller than this one.

-We've fixed lab door animations not appearing sometimes when exiting,

-All safe rooms will now play the 'safe' music cue.

-Fixed camera bug in lounge of the Living Quarters that could make leaving the room difficult

Known Issues

-There are some camera move issues, if you encounter these just keep walking in that direction that you were heading to and it will catch up. We are working to fix this.

Version 0.4.1 Alpha

-We've added Rose to the intro cinematic, and added thier script in preparation for adding the voice acting files. Their animations are still being worked on, and will animate as they talk in a future patch.
-We've improved the lighting during the intro cinematic, along with the overall quality.
-We've added double doors to the mansion intro cinematic to reflect later changes.
-We've fixed a bug that would cause the intro segment to be played twice if it was skipped
-We've updated Rose artwork throughout the game to reflect her new model.
-When entering the mansion Albert will now face down the hallway instead of just at the door.

Version 0.4 Alpha

-We've added the inside of the shed, with the ladder inside, that now also has the shotgun inside and leads down to the underground (before opening the door to the shed would just take you down)
-The save station has also been moved to the shed.
-The underground has now been completed, with the biggest battle of the horde yet to tackle. The cameras are still being worked on, so expect bugs.
-The infinite loop bug with the laddder has been fixed.
-We've now added the underground lab, of which we have moved the end point of the Early Access version to. The underground lab is still under work. You can also use the key code system here.

Known Issues
-The lab door opening transitions are using a retextured standard door asset, this will be replaced with the lab doors in a future patch
-Rose is not yet available in this patch but we have nearly finished work on her animations now so we expect that it won't be too long before the dual character system is ready by the next patch
-Some camera angle transitions are bugged, we are working to fix them.
