FINALLY!


The Base-building Patch is here!
There are a bunch of new and cool stuff for you to play around with, and we really hope you like what we have done so far. we hope to develop this game further and take it to even greater highs.

OLD SAVES


Due to the huge changes in this patch the old saves wont transfer correctly so we recommend staring over.

This pach comes with some know bugs but we're constantly working on fixing those too.

There is currently no endgame yet but that will be patched in soon as well.

So what has changed:

New:



  • Base building!!!!
  • A brand new spaceship that can be explored.
  • An asteroid that can be explored.
  • Completely remade crafting system, with multiple build orders and
  • cancellation.
  • Numerous new crafting objects to be placed in the spaceship.
  • 5 new crafting materials.
  • Remade radiation functionality. Now only removed by radiation shower or death.
  • A new Protection object the "MagPush" that repels nearby debris.
  • Healing canister.
  • Radiation resistance canister.


Tweaks:



  • Oxygen cap is no longer increased by air condensator, instead it’s increased by building more rooms.
  • Some optimizing changes to the distant stars and comets.
  • Some environmental changes to the distant planets.
  • Removed multiple menus in main computer and split them up into "craftable" computers.
  • Salvage info is now placed on the hand instead of the objects.
  • you can no longer charge a canister from the station, the ones you build will be filled already.

Hey, we haven't posted in a while but that's only because we have been working hard on a HUGE patch.

Build # 1.0.15c - Less Crashes and some fixes

Fixes/bugs:



  • Hand watch now showing zeros
  • Fixed some issues with Salvaging
  • Fixed some Glitching issues
  • Game should be more stable from Crashes (Let us know if this still happens)
  • Fixed a bug where the missiles would target your own turrets.
  • Fixed a bug where the missile would not target the titan
  • Fixed Double shield in inventory bug, also causes low FPS.

we're going to post another patch jan - 18th with fixes, tweaks and some new stuff before the modular base building. So please report any issue you find and describe them as much as you can so we can get to fixing those before that date.

Build # 1.0.14 - Christmas Theme and The Titan Boss.

Fixes/bugs:



  • Couldn't reload sometimes (complicated)
  • Ship wouldn’t refill suit properly if you crafted a Holo Shield
  • Could get negative power when salvaging.
  • Tier 1 comets would create “fake” visual/audio leak.
  • Holo map objects would could be squashed (let us know if you still encounter this)
  • Comets showers would follow your rotation.
  • Ship UI wouldn’t update on Death.
  • Tutorials could sometimes get stuck.
  • Powerstation/condenser would keep it’s increase if destroyed.

  • New craftable object, The Beacon (Summons the titan)
  • New object: Beacon signal, can be found in the environments.
  • The Titan, first boss fight!
  • Found Fusion cores can now be placed in ship(floor hatches).
  • Added Credits in game
  • Added visual indication on Power drain/Gain from turrets, shields and Solar panels. And how much is needed to keep them powered.


Tweaks:



  • Decreased the oxygen loss by 25 %
  • Improved Salvage effect.
  • Decreased comet shower and regular comet frequency.
  • Improved some particle effects
  • Improved crafting timer.

We're happy to say that we're having something pretty cool for the next patch the 20th dec, regarding the hatches in the spaceship and the new enemy.
along with some fixes,

- One is increasing the delay between comet showers.

To use old saves, do this:
Go to -> C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Overflow Games\Star Shelter

Place the contents of that folder in “my documents” folder

  • Can't breathe in ship if mask is open and autofill is off
  • Wrecks could disappear close to you
  • Removed pop-ins on built on objects (exterior)
  • Made impact damage impossible while climbing

  • Added a player body

build # 1.0.12 Fixes and tweaks - slower oxygen loss

Fixes/bugs:



  • Fixed an issue where a Ship interior could spawn outside
  • Fixed an issue with metal sheet UI not showing correct.
  • Food tubes increased in size when taking them out if inventory.
  • Filling big canisters from the ship would mess up fill amount on crafted ones.
  • Canisters on the chest could collide with debris
  • Could not save gun mods in inventory
  • Could salvage/grab through walls (objects now only spawn when lockers/chests are open)
  • If ship wall was broken from outside but had a crafted object on inside it
  • could not be repaired. (no UI inside)
  • Drones can no longer shoot through debris.


New:


<*>Gun mods now load individually.
<*>Hand menu “Quit button”, quits to the main menu instead of closing the game.


Tweaks:


<*>Decreased oxygen used by thrusters by 25%.
<*>Decreased oxygen suit consumption by 25%.
<*>Increased time fruit takes to grow by 100%. (now takes 4 min)
<*>Decreased oxygen generation of plants by 33%.
