build # 1.0.11 - Modular gun

Hey, so the new update is here and this is what's changed:

Fixes/bugs:



  • Fixed a Research point error
  • Fixed research point quest could be automatically checked.


New:



  • Added a Modular gun system (mods can be found in world)
  • Added Suit upgrades for radiation (Research menu)
  • Increased turret and drone health (no longer be one shot.)
  • Added random comets that are not targeted at ship
  • Changed reload button to [menu](vive) [B or Y](Oculus) button when holding the gun.



The next update might get pushed to the 29th since there's something big we want to add ad we feel like one-week might be tight to get it fully up and running. stay tuned!

Hey, we had to postpone the update for today until tomorrow, we have some things we want to finalize with the modular gun system, the update will be launched tomorrow nov 16th.

<*>Point finger trigger was messed up ship menu.
<*>the Opening helmet on swapped buttons setting was is still the wrong button.

  • Made some optimizing changes to the spaceship
  • Could not craft again after solar panel
  • Fixed the Rotating ship function
  • Some quick changes we forgot to write down. xD


New:



  • 2 brand new environments.
  • Loot on corpses
  • Now you can craft canisters and fill them from the ship
  • You can use canisters to fill the ship.
  • Added statistics. (deaths, resources scavenged...) Accessed in the archive.
  • Added a save-slot function.
  • Added a Speed warning UI
  • Added indication of entrance on ships
  • Added an in-game button to swap Grip <> Trigger function. (in the hand menu)
  • Added a button to toggle Mask UI frame (for youtubers/streamers).


Tweaks:



  • Radiation ticks up quicker, and down slower.

Build # 1.0.8 - Radiation and Oxygen zones

Hey, here's some new updates and fixes.

Fixes/bugs:



  • Could use the gun in startpod, and could move it around.
  • The game now Saves oxygen/power/nutrition/health amount when quitting.
  • Objects cost more glass to craft.
  • Plants did not die when out of oxygen in the ship.
  • Physical inventory upgrade scales items in inventory.
  • Could get negative power in the ship.
  • While trying to place metal plates on the spaceship they activated without pressing the trigger.
  • Could shoot the gun before fully reloaded.
  • Did not update crafting ui silhouette after putting an object on the wall (showed an object that was not in inventory).
  • Ship inventory objects did not collide with each other.
  • Sometimes skipped objectives when you E/R.


New:



  • Added radiation zones.
  • Added Radiation indication UI and voice.
  • Added oxygen zones
  • Added Drone indication
  • Add body impact damage
  • Added more variation/verticality to the Spaceship spawns
  • Added some new variables to the environments.
  • Added some more environment assets
  • Added error sound if trying to close airlock on yourself
  • Added better indication on delete saves button.
  • Added in-game option to toggle (Hide) UI.

Initially, Our idea was to patch once a month but there's a lot of changes that we want to make and we feel we can get a lot of things done in a week.
So from now on you can expect updates every Wednesday

What to expect next week



  • 2 - Brand new environments/spaceships with new gameplay mechanics.
  • Rotating ship fix
  • Possible change of the repair/build system (to a more hands-on one)
  • Not a promise but we'll attempt the Full (6-DOF) 360 all axis rotation option.
  • Potential bugs coming with this patch.


(left handed support will have to wait until we finalized the menu a bit more)

  • Decrease flashlight power use. (from 0.25 to 0.1/sec)
  • Research computer drained all power to quick
  • Sometimes ship hack computers wasn't grabbable
  • Turrets never undetected you if you fled.
  • Could run out of power in tutorial
  • Scavenging in tutorial stopped working
  • Gave turrets same projectile as Drones.
  • Climbing/grabbing issues when inventory was open
  • Thruster upgrades could cause thrusters to generate oxygen.
  • Fixed an issue with some objects that weren't climbable.
  • Info on plant pot about the plant was not accurate.
  • Now Disables mouse in game
  • Top hatch on Locker didn't work
  • Fruits didn’t save in inventory.
  • Audio settings saved wrong between games.
  • Already open chest didn't "push up" loot
  • Suit upgrades was kept between deaths.
  • Dying in the tutorial would spawn far away.
  • oxygen indicator now only show when it’s breathable.
  • Added a delay to the spawn of drones so they don't “spawnCamp”
  • Cancel button in Crafting menu was broken.
  • New Craft Object alert was sideways
  • Door Consoles were floating above ground in the big spaceship.
  • Disabled ship rotation mechanic until it’s fixed.
  • Powercost in crafting menu needs real-time updating.
  • Can now bring stuff out a base (doesn't disappear)
  • Fixed an animation issue with automatic doors.
  • Couldn't breathe at the Edges of your base.
  • Changed color of handles (was hard to distinguish the airlock switch).

  • Added resources to a broken Turret.
  • You can now Use broken cables to gain electricity while losing health
  • Added more audio options
  • Added a new space station.

Fixes/bugs



  • Adjusted the audio level for when the mask is opened (was too loud)
  • Couldn't craft despite having components, caused by component counts in the negative.
  • Stoped breath sound when the mask is up.
  • If a targeting object disappeared it broke the targeting system
  • Ship inventory was lost on death.
  • Tutorial window could get stuck.
  • Fixed Double click issue on craft button
  • Drones could shoot through walls
  • fixed a bug where the inventory didn't save properly.


New:



  • Added an oxygen indication of the air around you

Build # 1.0.5 - Flashlight button, save issue and other fixes.


Fixes/bugs:



  • Max power/oxygen limit was not increased by the power station, air condenser.
  • Changed the angle of the gun a bit.
  • A gradual spawn rate decrease of oxygen canisters and food tubes.
  • Could not charge gun with left hand
  • Fruit would be sucked out and wouldn’t grow back.
  • The removed crate from spawning debris.
  • Ammo upgrade did not save.
  • Changed the materials received from a drone.
  • Added cloud saves, will get rid of the “start as admin” issue


New:



  • Added a button to activate the light.

FIXED:



  • We fixed an issue with the game not being able to load a saved game after pressing the play button.

  • The same issue caused upgrades not to save properly and gave you insane numbers.



Note:
This was such an important fix that we just wanted it published immediately.

  • Fixed a bug where you could get stuck in the tutorial at broken wall.
  • Fixed a text error on seeds
  • Metal panels and satellite plates could not be grabbed on the first try.
  • Improved collision detection on hands.
  • Broken plates on death could not be fixed after going back.
  • Things put in ship inventory is not saved.
  • Put gun on back
  • Misplaced computer in spaceships
  • Grip bug when inventory active.
  • Now you have to hold seed capsule to plant it (not throw)
  • Can get “chopped in half”/stuck on lower airlock in ship


New:



  • Added indication on Full grown fruit
  • Added a line to the Gun to indicate aim.
