[ UPDATE V18 ] Amber Voice effects part 2 and more!
Hey guys, sorry it's so late with this one. It's about 3AM here, I always seem to get these updates in near the evening or the middle of the damn night.
I edited down, chopped up and programmed a lot more sounds for situational moments in the game. Amber now remarks specifically when:
Kills zombies with explosives
Kills zombies with fire
Kills zombies with decapitations
Kills zombies with traps
Discovers a locked door or item
Discovers new locations or objects
Performing certain attacks (spell reflections and backstabs)
Kills a Cultist
Each of these have variations within themselves..
The character is very talky right now, I'm gonna have to turn the comment rate down a bit later, especially with the kills. But as I said before, it's 3am and I wanted to get this thing out to you guys. Consider this the beta testing for the voice effects. They're all there, but it still has some slight calibration to go.
Once more, a gigantic thanks to Amber Lee Connors for lending her voice to the project. You can find her by any of these handles, she does a number of cool stuff!
I'll tweak the sounds a bit tomorrow and probably more this upcoming week.

Got a really fun let's play video from VanisideyJay This guys got what it takes, I'm pretty impressed. He manages to conquer 18 minute mode and keep things pretty intense the entire time. He's also been a big help in pointing out a glitch I hadn't seen before. I'm still trying to figure the exact cause of the thing but I think I'm getting close.

I've went ahead and created Zombie Raffle Race guide , so I'll be just linking that in all future cases when I reference results or updates involving the races. There's still a bit of time if you want to get in on this weeks race.

I've been tweaking things here and there so my apologies if the shovel is acting a bit weird, I'll get that sorted out soon. Also I fixed a bug where the ruby carried over into your inventory when the player restarted the round.

[ News Announcement ] Voice Part 2 Update planned tommorow.
Hey there everybody. I've been working on lots things this week, some internal with the game but the majority are promotional aspects of the game.
Character Voice Update Part 2
I'll be working to get an update out tomorrow, this will encompass the second part of Amber's voices, to specify these are more location comments and kill remarks. Thank you to everyone for the positive feedback, I've been excited for a while to get some audio behind the character.
Later during the week and heavily during next week I'll be working to add the things I've mentioned for the final patch to STLD Ep 02. This will take some time but I'll be updating you all with progress and screenshots and stuff. The final patch will include:
-one last new enemy, and a new weapon
-a slots system with new weapons to spend tokens on after you die

Somethings wrong with the Steams guide section, I've been trying to update that but apparently there's an issue affecting the whole Steam Community. When that gets resolved I'll have a new guide that players can consult if they ever need to know how to join a zombie race raffle in the future.

[ UPDATE V17 ] A voice for Amber! Voice update #1
Hey there! I'm super excited to announce this one. These last few weeks I've been working to get the main character a voice for the series! And now we've got just that with the awesome Amber Lee Connors taking on the role.
With this update I'm adding 90 new sound effects for the main character into the game.
The character now narrates, shouts, exclaims, ponders and wisecracks throughout episode 02!
One of the most exciting parts is this is only the first half of the sound effects to be added. I still am working to process and program more comments to be made after kills, visits to locations, and just interacting with the events going on in episode 02.
I really need to give a big shout out to Amber Lee Connors! For doing a remarkable job and being the first ever voice for the main character: Amber Chaplin.
Stop by and check out some of her other works too! Or if you've been considering a VO for a personal project, I gotta say she does a kick ass job.

I'm excited to announce Save Or Quit has done a full review of the game. You can check that out here: Review
It's an honest review that I feel for the most part at this point in time accurately could explain to a buyer what they'd be getting into with STLD.
It's shed some light on flaws that I may have overlooked or forgotten about in the past, and can now take a bit of time to tackle.
I will more than likely be adding some form of tutorial or help screen to the game. I was never quite sure if this was necessary or how to implement it without annoying players who can't stand tutorials. I figure I'll just make it there in game but not with a forced introduction.
As a point of pride and a bit of a highlight we did earn their " Save " ranking, and I'm actually really excited to have them come back and play the finished version , or even later episodes when things really start to come full circle.

Good luck guys! Somebody's getting a free game Friday!
Lot's of effort is going into wrapping this baby up. Without stating too much yet, I've got something super exciting I'm hoping to program into the game this week. It may be a bit of a time struggle, as I also have a real job I'm trying to work simultaneously. With some luck I'll have an interesting and new bit of content to add to the game by the end of the week though, so please stay tuned.
I feel I am still slow and suffering a bit in the promotional department for this game, my dream would be to drop everything and just work full time on future episodes and updates, as of now though it's a bit a of a juggle. Just know I'll be here working even if the updates aren't lightning fast these days. And any tweets, reviews or shares really helps the project. The less time I have to spend on the promotional aspects the more I can spend developing.

Hi guys, first off I just wanted to say thanks, and greetings to all the new players out there!
This last week has been an intense one, but a lot of fun, and an extremely exciting time for STLD. I'm trying my best to keep up with all the emails and interaction, it also occurred to me right after release that I need somewhere that officially goes over all the unique mechanics of STLD ep 02. I've begun to build a faq. It's jam packed full of imagery and tips, I'll be updating from now on whenever I have a spare second.
