  • Fixed an issue that could cause a navigation hex not to appear after an event
  • Fixed issue where skills, statuses and items affecting max health and max mana were being calculated with Vitality when they should be calculated afterwards
  • Fixed issue where in some instances (Shield of Light, Shield of Retribution, Ghost Armor, Evasion) gaining a duplicate buff removes the previous version and does not apply the new one.
  • Fixed issue where the Armor value on Will to Survive was incorrect
  • Fixed issue that caused characters to sometimes have permanent hidden statuses applied to them
  • Fixed issue where in some cases event hexes couldn't be walked on in battle when they should be walkable

v0.21 World Map Update

Delve deep into the forgotten ruins of the once great Dwarven Halls. Adventure into the untamed wilds of the Emerald Jungle. Uncover the mysteries of the Sunken Swamplands. Face all new foes: creeping spiders, giant scorpions, Great Wyrms and more.

We’re excited for you to try out our new areas as well as revamped versions of all our existing areas. There will no longer be any loading between traveling and battling – everything will take place on our new world maps. We hope you enjoy this seamless experience which offers a much greater variety of strategic battling locations and delightful areas to explore.


Features



  • Added 3 new environments (Swamp, Dwarven Halls, and Jungle) each with new enemies to fight
  • There is no longer a transition teleporting you from the world map to the battle – instead you fight the battle directly on the world map
  • The rooms that are spawned in after activating a navigation node are now randomly generated, look better atheistically and able to support battling directly in the room
  • Added 4 new boss fights: Olgoi the Devourer of Treasure, The Witch, The Council and Medusa
  • Added 10 new Fortunes: Silver Signet, Emblem of the Iron Fortress, Elixir of the Scarlet Ox, Frozen Lich Heart, Scroll of Monster Summoning, Touch of Frost, Touch of Thunder, Elemental Mastery, Rune of Refreshment, and Ball Lightning
  • Added new items
  • Possible movement and action hexes are now displayed using a border instead of highlighting every hex to reduce visual clutter
  • Added language support for Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, and French
  • Added line of sight indicators
  • Important objects obstructed from view now highlight through their obstructions
  • Fishing now occurs at bodies of water that naturally spawn in the world
  • Added a new shop feature that can upgrade any item to your current level for gold.
  • You can now right click a Fortune to unequip it
  • Significant graphical performance optimization


General Changes



  • The quest selection map is now non-linear to where you can decide what environment you travel to
  • There is now a ‘'placement phase' before battle where you can arrange your party's starting positions
  • There is now only one activation hex that opens in the next area in the world map which brings up a menu with the various room options.
  • The party now votes for which room to open up next
  • ’Teleporting’ enemy modifier can now only trigger once per turn
  • ’Regenerating’ enemy modifier is no longer based on a percentage of max health but is instead a flat amount based on level
  • ’Rampaging’ now gives the enemy the ability to rampage after control effects are used instead of always being Rampaged. Also it no longer grants extra movement.
  • 'Elusive' has been reduced to 25% dodge chance down from 35%
  • Greatly increased the health per level player summons receive
  • Changed visual effect for Light’s Beckon
  • Tiered items now grant additional Spell Power. Increases with Tier level.
  • Tiered non-weapon items now grant additional Damage Reduction. Increases with Tier level.
  • Tiered items now increase the level of the wielder's summons. Increases with Tier level.
  • Increased quality of items received from event rewards
  • Updated various sound effects
  • Event roll bonuses are now easier to get and the max bonus was increased from +2 to +4


Bug Fixes



  • Fixed some issues where objects would block line of sight when they shouldn’t
  • Fixed issue where Soul Link wouldn’t function on a killing blow
  • Fixed issue with Enrage refreshing duration when movement impairing effects are used on an enemy that is already enraged
  • Fixed issue with the game not properly loading if you click the Continue button multiple times
  • Fixed issue where you couldn’t access the pause menu while in an event


Hotfix 20.4 - Wrath of the Righteous Fix and Misc Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where the Wrath of the Righteous fortune was unobtainable
  • Fixed issue where dash based attacked would sometimes hit unexpected targets including allies
  • Fixed issue that could sometimes cause a black screen when readjusting your party and coming back to town
  • Fixed issue that caused dead hardcore characters to be able to use the 'Continue' quest feature
  • Fixed issue where Perfect Rage would be affected by range modifiers
  • Fixed issue where Ruby Rancor could be dodged

v0.20 Patch Notes - Events & Fortunes



This update is packed full of content!

We've added a ton of New Events (50+) and revamped the Event UI to provide a cleaner and more robust experience for the player. This includes a new Dice Rolling System with roll bonuses based on character stats.

We've added Fortunes which are special types of items your character can obtain to give them special permanent bonuses and/or abilities.

Here are a few examples of what Fortunes can do:

  • Might of the Ymir allows you to dual wield 2-handed weapons but at a cost.
  • Unholy Sacrifice allows you to detonate your summons, dealing massive damage to those nearby.
  • Mirror Shard allows you to summon a clone your character to assist you in battle

There are many more you'll have to find as you venture forth in the Stolen Realm. We're excited to see how you guys put these new Fortunes to use!

General Changes



  • After getting defeated in battle, you are now forced to either restart the quest or return to town. This is counter balanced by various nerfs to enemies and additional power from Fortunes. (The reasoning behind this is to create more of a "dungeon" experience where you choices throughout the quest have more of an impact. Overall your success rates will be higher but if you fail, it will be more punishing.)
  • Increased status effects duration from consumables from 3 to 5 turns
  • Teleporting enemy modifier can no longer trigger when the enemy is immobilized or stunned
  • All barrels now only have 1 health
  • You can now reply previous main quests


Skill Changes



  • Shield of Light - Increased amount blocked by 50%
  • Purify - Now has no AP cost
  • Trouble Mind - Changed to Poison Cloud
  • Consumption - Now has no AP cost
  • Threatening Fracture - Changed to Dispelling Fracture
  • Mortal Fracture - Now reduces healing by 50% up from 25%
  • Curse - Now reduces healing by 50% up from 25%
  • Light's Beckon - Now able to target enemies, crates and barrels


Balancing



  • Reduced boss health and damage globally by 20%
  • Reduced non-boss health and damage globally by 10%
  • Reduced enemy health and damage by an additional 20% for solo parties
  • Increased effectiveness of mana potions by 100%
  • Reduced damage from Grizzly Bear by 25%
  • Enemy pickups now spawn less frequently
  • Blood Mask Boss - No longer has ice shot to slow players. Summons two allies instead of four.
  • Forest Giant - Reduced the damage caused by Earth Shatter by 50%
  • The Butcher - No longer spawns with allies.
  • The Minotaur - Increased health by 15%
  • Crystal Golem - Reduced Shardling damage by 15% and health by 20%
  • Mountain King Ironheart - No longer spawns with any allies. Health increased by 5%
  • The Black Knight - No longer has life steal aura. Damage increased by 10%
  • The Sultan - Can no longer summon Champions
  • The Gobfather - No longer spawns with allies. Summons 2 times instead of 3. Only casts Incalculable Rage 2 times instead of 3. No longer reflects damage. Now has damage reduction during incalculable rage.
  • The Sun Queen - No longer spawns with 2 Champions. Increased health by 10%
  • Avatar of Xotec - Now spawns with less enemies. Reduced movement of Xotec Flayer from 11 to 6. Reduced movement of Xotec Headhunter, Xotec Warrior and Xotec Soul Thief from 8 to 6. His summon skill now only summons 2 enemies instead of 4.
  • Valkyrie Commander - Her summon skill now summons 2 enemies instead of 3
  • Admiral Blackbeard - Reduced health of Cursed Chest by 40%. No longer spawns with 3 enemies. Increased boss health by 25%
  • Ragnar - Reduced damage dealt from Stormbringer by 55%. No longer spawns with 2 enemies
  • Azug Spikefist - Reduced damage by 17%. No longer spawns with 4 enemies
  • The Grandmaster - Hurricane Kick no longer slows. No longer spawns with 6 allies
  • The Dusk King - No longer spawns with 2 enemies. His summons no longer deal cold damage. No longer procs Icefall on frozen targets. Increased health by 20%
  • The Duke - Increased health by 10%
  • Herald of the Abyss - No longer spawns with 3 enemies
  • Dark Clone health reduced by 30%
  • The Dead One - Reduced movement points from 6 to 4. No longer summons a summoner
  • Emberforge Warmachine - Increased damage by 14%
  • Unchained Efreet - All summon skills now have summoning sickness
  • The Broker - Only does life swap once instead of twice. Increased health by 60%






Hotfix 19.11 - Multiplayer Lag / Opportunity Attack Bug Fixes

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed issue that could cause excessive network congestion causing lag in some multiplayer games.
  • Fixed issue that caused a lockup when disabling an enemy when it is trying to perform an opportunity attack.
