Updated roadmap and plans for the future

I understand that many of you might be disappointed with the new timelines, but this is a necessary step to allow me to work on the game at a somewhat reasonable pace and still have free time for other projects.

However, you won't have to wait 3-4 months for each update – I will now be rolling out updates gradually so that you're not left without new content for extended periods. The next major planned update, "0.4 Entertainment," will begin to roll out in December, possibly even a bit earlier.

For instance, from the upcoming content, you'll get more vacation events (and a new mini-game!) as well as increased interactions with the Yakuza, including in the context of company management. You will receive all this without waiting for me to complete everything planned for version 0.4, so don't be surprised if the subsequent 0.4 update doesn't bring as much content.

This approach will also help me better monitor the game's balance and address bugs more progressively.

About 0.3 update

Regarding the 0.3 update, I might have overestimated my capabilities and ended up creating content that perhaps should have been released later. This particular mode feels like a standalone DLC (which I'm not planning to make yet, as I want to complete the full version of the game first). However, I believe it will be a pleasant surprise for those who start playing now and, at some stage, discover another game within the game.

Moving forward, I'll focus on the game's main theme – the stock market. And also on Emi. Emi will receive more content and costumes, which is something I personally want.
Thank you for sticking with me! Thanks to your feedback, the game is improving, so please continue to share your thoughts.

Updated Roadmap

Hotfixes and improvements after update 0.3

I am actively working on updating it with improvements after patch 0.3.

Version 0.3.0.3:

- The ability to choose the level of free shares restriction at the start has been added. That is, on the easy difficulty, you can again purchase all 100% of the shares without restrictions;
- The ability to disable invitations to the board of directors of a particular company;
- Employees of the departments in your company are no longer strangers to you (friendship with them increases above zero);
- Friendship is also increased when hiring;
- Secret information from Yoshiro will now be more expensive if the player has more money;
- Characters now answer the phone more often on weekends;
- Fixed a bug with incorrect button signatures in one event;
- Fixed a bug where the sound when raising the friendship level with Amy could play longer than necessary;
- Fixed a bug with glitchy display of the game after firing an employee from the employee list screen;
- Fixed a bug that caused the R&D scale to always be at the bottom;
- Fixed a game crash when offering a job to a character;
- Fixed a bug with the bar crash;
- Now you will still receive income while on vacation.

It was also updated earlier (after 0.3):
- Improved display of Japanese text;
- Time now stops when viewing resumes;
- Fixed a bug with old employees in new company departments;
- Fixed bug with "100252";
- Fixed a bug with the game crashing after pressing the Escape button in some dialogs;
- And a few other small fixes.

Update 0.3: Company management

Finally, the long-awaited update! I'm sorry for the delay, but I'll be revising the roadmap in a few days, so stay tuned.

Company Management:

- Ability to create your own company;
- A new mode in which the player immediately creates their own small company;
- The ability to view a list of all key employees in the company;
- Ability to build and develop company departments and assign key employees to them;
- Now there are pop-up notifications when replenishing or spending money from the company reserves;
- Significantly reworked the balance of company characteristics and income calculation formulas;
- Ability to send employees on vacation, train them, and much more;
- Ability to hold calming meetings for investors;
- Now, the player can be fired from the position of CEO if they are not performing well and do not have a controlling stake in the company;
- The player can be offered to resign from the position of CEO if they have a controlling stake in the company and are managing it poorly;
- The player's company can now go bankrupt if it has a negative balance for a long time;
- If a player as a CEO does not attend meetings, it negatively affects the outcomes;
- Employees can now request salary increases or vacations;
- Random acquaintances can now ask to work for your company;
- New random events for the company manager.

Companies:

- New companies are now going public (IPO), allowing the player to immediately buy a certain amount of shares at a favorable price (or not, because who knows what will happen to the company);
- Now, the results of shareholders' meetings affect the stock price;
- New events have appeared at shareholder meetings.

Contacts:

- Ability to sort contacts by various indicators (not just by friendship);
- All contacts can now have a penchant for a certain business (useful for managing a company);
- More professions in contacts;
- New phrases for contacts when the player communicates with them as their boss;
- Increased the maximum possible number of shares that can be offered in personal deals;
- Some changes in character generation;
- New characteristics - thoroughness and experience;
- Your company's employees also have energy and job satisfaction indicators;
- Each contact now has brief information about their personality or hobbies (may not be true in old save files);
- Now, improving or worsening relations with a board member or CEO affects the reputation in their company.

Convenience:

- Added the ability to skip the intro (but only after the first viewing, so you'll have to watch it once). For this, hold the Esc key or B on the gamepad;
- Added the ability to speed up horse races;
- The bottom panel is now dimmed when inactive;
- Improved cursor control from the gamepad (it slows down slightly over active objects);
- Added a trillion mark for corresponding large sums.

Technical:

- Traditionally improved Japanese translation;
- Added a 1280x720 resolution setting (want to get the green checkmark for Steam Deck);
- The game on Steam Deck should automatically select the best resolution (hopefully);
- Now, the initial money is not considered in the achievements "Cash Catcher" and "Dragon's Hoard";
- New achievements.

Fixes:

- Characters now keep their noses, instead of changing them every time a save is loaded;
- Fixed a bug where contact images appeared in the wrong messages;
- Fixed the display of friendship level with Emi (to make it neat and even);
- Fixed a bug with incorrect interview results display;
- Fixed a bug that could cause the game to freeze when exiting;
- Fixed an error where the list of contact professions was limited to a certain list over time;
- Fixed a bug where the day started over after exiting the system menu;
- Fixed several bugs that caused the game to crash;
- Fixed a bug where events of the day replayed when reloading the game;
- Optimization improvements (hopefully).

Important Announcement Regarding the 0.3 Game Update

Hello everyone!

Apologies are in order. It looks like I bit off more than I could chew this time around. Who knew that rest isn’t just a suggestion, but a necessity? Shocking, right?

So here’s the deal: I dropped the ball and patch 0.3 is going to need a bit more TLC before it’s ready to roll out. But don’t worry, I’ll be sharing more screenshots in the next few days – so keep your eyes on Twitter and Discord.

Now, for a quick refresher: this patch is all about breathing life into your entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll get to build your company from the ground up, handpick your team, assign roles, and watch your empire expand. And for those of you who are as impatient as I am, you can jump straight into the action with a ready-to-go company (it’ll be a modest start, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day).

I can't thank you enough for your patience and understanding. I’m considering a tweak in the roadmap to ensure I deliver nothing but top-notch updates without the delay. Every promise made will be a promise kept, that’s a guarantee.

Catch you soon!
