Thank You For 10.000 Reviews and Two Amazing Years
Dear Horticulturists,
We’re beyond excited to announce that we’ve reached over 10,000 reviews on Steam!
When Strange Horticulture released over two years ago, we never thought we'd make it to such a monumental milestone. And all that while continuing to stay Overwhelmingly Positive. This feels like a truly incredible achievement and we couldn’t have done it without you, our community.
We want to thank every single one of you for leaving reviews and sharing Strange Horticulture with the world. We’re more excited than ever to keep working on the follow-up to Strange Horticulture. We can’t wait to share more information about Strange Antiquities soon!
Once again, from the bottom of our hearts: Thank you!
It’s now been 2 months since we’ve both introduced you to Jupiter and a wonderful store called ‘Strange Antiquities’.
As we are now fully immersed in the development process of the follow-up to Strange Horticulture, we’re eager to announce that we’ll be releasing a monthly newsletter for you - the “Undermere Herald” - over on the Strange Antiquities store page.
Every month, we’ll be delving into our inspirations, the development process behind Strange Antiquities, interesting bits of lore and much, much more. The Herald is the perfect place to stay up-to-date and learn more about all things Strange. If you’re keen to tag along on this journey, make sure to follow the game and be among the first to know!
The first edition, delving into the Thaumaturge Eli White and our trip to the Pitt Rivers Museum, is already live. You can read it by clicking on the newspaper below!
Over the past few days, we gave you a little mystery to solve on the Strange Antiquities Store page to help you guess the name of Strange Antiquities’ store cat.
Reading everybody’s guesses was a delight! Some of you got very close; others less so. (Unfortunately, the cat’s name will not be Jon Bon Jovi).
But without further ado, let’s get to the most important part of this blog…
Meet Jupiter, the store cat of Undermere’s eerie antiques store!

We are two brothers from the UK who have been making games together for over a decade. In 2022 we released our occult puzzle game Strange Horticulture, and the response has been incredible; from amazing reviews and award nominations to appearing in numerous best-of-the-year lists. Most importantly, it has been a joy to read the kind words left by so many of our players on Steam, where we are still rated Overwhelmingly Positive after almost 10,000 reviews!
We want to thank everyone who has played Strange Horticulture, left us a review, told their friends, or supported the game in any way. It has been an amazing journey and we can't wait to share the next chapter with you.
Please wishlist and follow Strange Antiquities here to stay up-to-date with the development and help us spread the word.
