Sakura Coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on January 16! Entire Season 3 Announced!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WABWyJ45XCo
After our huge announcements during Capcom Cup 2017, we’re certain you need a recap! We revealed all six characters coming to Season 3 of Street Fighter V by showing the beautiful cinematic opening of the upcoming Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. There’s no more gym class for Sakura, who will join the cast as the first character of Season 3, which starts on January 16, the same day Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition launches. Continue reading for more information on Sakura, as well as a few important notices about Season 3.
First appearing in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Ryu’s number one fan returns to the series with a new outlook on life. After graduating high school, Sakura now works part-time at an arcade, but wonders what decisions she needs to make in order to be satisfied with her future.
This time, Sakura has a new move, Tengyo Hadoken, where she fires a fireball diagonally into the air that can act as an anti-air. In addition, her V-System that is detailed below gives her more tools to open up opponents. Overall, Sakura’s fighting style remains similar to her past appearances as she pummels opponents with flurries of quick attacks along with her trademark Hadoken, Shouoken, and Shunpukyaku.
V-Skill: Haru Kaze
Sakura leaps into the air towards the opponent, which can then be followed up by three different options. Hitting punch will result in one of her signature moves, Sakura Otoshi, which can be pressed up to three times to continue the combo. Following up with a kick will trigger Oukakyaku, a forward flip that can act as a divekick. Finally, pressing throw (LP+LK) after Haru Kaze will result in Kashinfu, a command grab that that sees Sakura using her opponent as a spring board to jump back.
V-Trigger I: Haru Arashi
Upon activation, Sakura’s fists are enveloped by blue energy that powers up Hadoken and Tengyo Hadoken, giving them both an additional hit. Landing a hit will also cause your opponent to be put into a juggle state giving you an opportunity to land additional attacks. She can also press HP+HK again to use Hogasho, a powerful palm thrust.
V-Trigger II: Sakura Senpu
This time, Sakura’s fists and feet become enveloped by blue energy that powers up Shouoken and Shunpukyaku. Landing a hit will send your opponent flying into the air where you can cancel into V-Skill to follow up with either Sakura Otoshi or Oukakyaku. Both moves are improvements to their EX version and can be performed up to four times before Sakura Senpu ends.
Critical Art: Sakura Rain
Sakura’s Critical Art draws inspiration from her past Super Combos. If used away from the opponent, it will only be a high-damaging Hadoken. However, if Sakura can land this Critical Art right next to the opponent, it’ll go into a special animation that deals significantly more damage.
Kasugano Residence
With as long as Sakura’s been around, there’s a great deal of nostalgia with her return to Street Fighter. We’ve decided to tug on those strings even more by adding her classic stage, Kasugano Residence, into Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition complete with her adorable dog and younger brother, Tsukushi.
SEASON 3 UNVEILED

We hope players across the world enjoyed the opening cinematic of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition played because we revealed more than just Sakura! Fan favorites Blanka, Cody, and the “king” Sagat will return with new characters Falke and G to complete Season 3!
Sakura will be available in the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which will include her Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10 unlocked. The Season 3 Character Pass will be available on January 16, 2018! As usual, holders of the pass will automatically get Blanka, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat when they arrive next year. Zeku, the Ever-Changing Ninja, infiltrates Street Fighter V on October 24!
Zeku, the last character in Season 2, will officially leap into Street Fighter V on October 24!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boNf5TFihE8
First seen in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Zeku was Guy’s former teacher, who taught him to master Bushinryu, a style of ninjutsu. Eventually, Guy was able to obtain the title of 39th Master of Bushinryu. Zeku then disappeared and was never seen again…until now! Zeku has reappeared looking to start his own ninja group and find a new fighting style.
His younger version sure looks familiar!
For players who want to learn the art of Zeku, it will require intense training to hone his multiple skill sets due to his ability to transform. His older self has slower moves and a special flip in the air, which can be followed up with different options to keep the opponent guessing. His younger self is quicker and has a short run, which can also open up opponents.
V-Skill: Fukuro (Older Self), Tenpo Kari (Younger Self)
Zeku performs a special technique that transforms him to his younger self, completely changing his move set. He can then use Tenpo Kari to transform back. Depending on the directional input you press after the V-Skill connects, Zeku will teleport either in front or behind the opponent.
V-Trigger: Bushinryu Shinge Kiko
Allows Zeku to perform a single special dash that can be followed up with a custom combo that deals additional hits. Both forms have the same V-Trigger.
Critical Art: Batsuzan Gaisei
Upon kicking the opponent in the air, Zeku follows up with a flurry of strikes while switching forms before stomping them into the ground. Zeku’s Critical Art is the same for both forms.
Coming alongside Zeku on October 24 are his Story, Battle, and Nostalgia Costumes as seen below:
The Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat, and Zeku! The pass includes Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Season 2 Character Pass holders will also receive an exclusive PS4 theme!

Menat, The Eyes of the Future, makes her way to Street Fighter V August 29th
You may have seen her haunting Ed in his dreams, but Menat has now become a reality and officially makes her way into Street Fighter V this Tuesday! Look below to learn more about this all new, mysterious fortune teller.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDs6wqCZs3c
Menat is an apprentice of a famous Fortune teller that lives in Italy. The techniques she was taught revolve around her crystal sphere, which she controls with her soul power. This power lets her extend the base of her attacks, giving her a fortunate advantage at longer ranges. She is also able to send it out at the opponent to disrupt attacks, where she can later call it back. While the crystal sphere is out, she can cancel any normal attack and her V-Skill into Soul Sphere: Ankh, calling the crystal ball back to her, greatly increasing her combo potential.
V-Skill : Soul Reflect - Kamal
Produce a shock wave attack from her soul power. While the crystal sphere is retracted, this lets her reflect the average projectile back at the opponent. If the crystal ball was sent out into battle prior to using her V-Skill, this will absorb the projectile to help build up her v-gauge. This can also be used to launch the opponent into the air to help extend combos.
V-Trigger: Wisdom of Thoth
Menat summons six spheres with her soul power andeach sphere is linked to her normal attacks. Pressing and releasing of a normal attack sends the sphere linked to that attack flying at the opponent.
Critical Art: The Nefertem
Menat sends her crystal sphere to bind her soul power with the opponent to deal devastating damage.
Mastering this fortune teller is dependent on knowing when to use her crystal sphere to keep her opponents at bay, and when to unleash it to create unpredictable mixups.
Also coming alongside Menat on August 29th are her Story and Battle costumes.
And don’t forget, the SFV Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat and an addition brand new fighters to be announced later this year. The pass comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Additionally, Season 2 Character Pass holders will receive an exclusive PS4 theme!
One last thing! To help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Street Fighter, players who log into Street Fighter V from August 29th to September 5th will receive an additional 30,000FM!

The Super Human Hot-Rodder Abigail makes his way to Street Fighter V on July 25th!
We are happy to announce Abigail, the biggest man in Metro City, as the fourth new character to join Season 2 of Street Fighter V.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcMiPWzXn0k
Making his way from Final Fight to Street Fighter V, Abigail was one of the top ranking members of the Mad Gear Gang. His territory is the Bay Area of Metro City, a location he terrorizes with his gargantuan size, and at eight feet tall, he makes the Red Cyclone look like a spinning top. The tires around Abigail’s monstrous biceps make is clear what he’s been up to when he isn’t cracking skulls. This mountain of a man is a complete (mad) gear head that loves to make car noises almost as much as he loves driving them.
One thing that’s troubling Abigail is the whereabouts of his prized monster truck. Be sure to check out his character story as he brawls his way through the mean streets of Metro City in search of it.
V-Skill: Hungabee Abigail thrusts his sizeable belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.
V-Trigger: Max Power After popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armour and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.
Critical Art: Abigail Special Abigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speedbag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.
As the largest character in the game, you’d expect Abigail to be all about the command grabs. He has two, as it happens, but what makes him stand out is his Nitro Charge run. This special move has one hit of armour (two for EX!) and can be cancelled into four follow-ups – a stiff punch, command grab, cumbersome overhead or V-Skill. Suffice to say, Abigail isn’t a one-trick-pony, he’s a horse-power-house.
Also arriving alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes, as well as his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. Fight on this stage long enough and you might see the iconic sunrise that fans will remember from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.
Don’t forget, the Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail in addition to two brand new fighters to be announced later this year. The pass comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Additionally, Season 2 Character Pass holders will receive an exclusive PS4 theme!
In the next few days, we’ll share more information about Abigail. So keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter pages for Street Fighter V.
Ring of Pride and Champions Choice Costume coming to Street Fighter V on July 25th
Earlier this year, we introduced the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour DLC that featured the Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, along with some exclusive Fight Money opportunities and colors. Now, it’s time to reveal the Champions Choice Costume as well as the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage!
First up, we have an exclusive look at the all-new 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage! Continuing the tradition of CPT themed stages, the Kanzuki Family Stadium showcases the high-level competition with a sumo stadium befitting of the Kanzuki name.
As most of you know, Du “NuckleDu” Dang won the Capcom Cup in 2016. Along with him auto-qualifying for Capcom Cup 2017, he also received the incredibly rare opportunity to help create a costume for a character of his choice. His character of choice is the master of flash-kicking, Guile!
Guile is ready for any combat operations with this tactical officer-inspired costume. The all-new costume will be available on July 25th for PlayStation 4 and Steam for just $5.99 / € 5.99 or included in the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass.
Included in the Premier Pass for $24.99 are the previously released Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, the newly announced Champions Choice Costume, the Kanzuki Family Stadium stage, exclusive CPT- themed colors for all of the characters, two exclusive titles and monthly in-game targets that reward Fight Money! Just as it was last year, the 2017 Premier Pass will be taken off the marketplace around the end of November, so make sure you pick up your favorite content while it is available!
Just like last year, a portion of the CPT 2017 DLC will go to the prize pool for Capcom Cup 2017, regardless if it’s purchased as a bundle or individually. This campaign was a great success last year thanks to your support, and we can’t thank you enough for helping make the Pro Tour and CPT Prize Pool better with each contribution.
Finally, below is the full pricing breakdown of the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour content:
Capcom Pro Tour Costumes
Capcom Pro Tour Stage
Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass — $24.99 / € 24.99

Nostalgic Costumes and Suzaku Castle coming to Street Fighter V on July 25th
Turn the clock back with these nostalgic costumes and classic stage!
With 30 years of rich history to its name, the Street Fighter series conjures up many fond memories across a wide range of topics. Be it the iconic special moves or the unmistakeable theme tunes, Street Fighter is pop culture personified. To this end, we’re adding another classic stage and three more nostalgic costumes to Street Fighter V.
Forget Guile’s jet, Ryu’s temple roof stage is where the truest of warriors fought for arcade supremacy back in 1991. Relive those classic moments (or forge new ones!) as this iconic Suzaku Castle stage makes the leap forward into Street Fighter V.
Seeing as the Street Fighter III series is set after Street Fighter V, it only makes sense that Alex would have longer hair in the future. He’s also found the time to buy new green trousers that are less ripped than his old pair.
Ibuki’s nostalgic costume is also from the Street Fighter III series – aka the future. It’s more rugged than her regular outfit, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with infinite shurikens. It was deemed that this historical inaccuracy be for the greater good.
Unlike Alex and Ibuki, Juri’s nostalgic costume is from the Street Fighter IV series – aka the past. This is how we first met the sadistic taekwondo expert back in 2010. We probably wouldn’t recommend that she wears this outfit while riding her motorbike.
You can pick up these new costumes on PlayStation 4 and Steam for $3.99/ €3.99 starting on July 25th.
As always make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest Street Fighter V news.
More School Costumes heading to Street Fighter V June 27th
On June 27th, the School range of Street Fighter V costumes will be expanded to include R. Mika, Nash and Ibuki. These three students of the game will join Chun-Li, Ryu and Juri in the street fighting school of hard reads and learned blocks.
Letting her hair hang low with thick specs, friendship bracelets and sensible shoes, R. Mika takes a leaf out of the traditional sailor-style school uniform that can be seen in Japan. Here’s hoping that Nadeshiko still recognizes her during recess.
Going for a white gakuran uniform that’s reminiscent of Kyosuke Kagami (shout-outs to Rival Schools!), Nash looks just as ready to hit the books as he does a crush counter. He also sports a hall-monitor sash that shouts, “skip class at your peril, punk.”
Rounding out this academic trio is Ibuki in her traditional fuka school uniform. These threads aren’t as rugged as her ninja dogi but we have it on good authority that the bomb capacity is just as generous. That red scarf also pays respectful homage to her fellow Capcom ninja, Strider Hiryu.
Stay ahead of the grading curve by picking these costumes up for $3.99 each at the end of the month.
If you're looking to checkout the previously introduced school costumes, check out our blog post!

We also want to thank all of our fans for continuing to support the Capcom Pro Tour this year through the new in-game items we’ve released and the new 2017 Premier Pass! As we mentioned, users who purchase the CPT 2017 Premier Pass will not only get access to all the cool new content such as costumes for Ryu and Ken, we will also be offering up additional Targets.
To kick things off, we’ll be offering up four Targets in June to celebrate the launch of the New CFN which will net you a cool 36,000 Fight Money! We’ll be releasing a new Target each month after that through November.
Keep in mind that each target only lasts for the month that it is active. For example, the Targets in June will expire on July 1st, the Targets starting in July will expire on August 1st and so forth.
