- If cars are accelerating too fast on your computer, you may try running beta build (second option if running the game from Steam shortcut)

Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting this amazing game! We work very hard to make it better.

Beta builds

Some recent updates may include beta builds, you could also notice the new launch option when trying to run the game from Steam shortcut.

What do these beta builds do? They're intended to safely check some new features or capabilities before making them available for everyone. So if your game is unstable or running slow, or if you just want to try some untested feature, use beta option in your launch menu.

In this particular update you can try build 927 beta that is more smooth and could be more stable than ordinary 927. If it's not, please let us know in the comments.

Urgent update to build 927

We have received several reports about crashes right on the game launch and decided to release an urgent build 927.

WARNING: Steam achievements don't work right now, since the game is crashing on some computers because of them, we're working very hard to find out why that happens and enable them back as soon as possible. If you want Steam achievements anyway, let us know in the comments, we can make a special patch for you.

This build DOES NOT include multiplayer yet, it's about to come soon. Please, be patient.

If your game has crashed after this update, uninstall the game, install it again and start new career.

Before using WorkshopInstaller.exe, please read the description in file readme_workshop.txt or in the guide here on Steam. If you have installed the mod with this tool and it doesn't work, probably this mod is not compatible with the game yet, we're working with modders to fix that, sorry for inconvenience.

Attention to modders

This information is very important for everyone who has uploaded mods to Street Legal workshop.

When you're preparing your mod for uploading, you must keep directory structure of the game.

EXAMPLE

You're adding a car that consists of the following files and directories:

[DIR] Audi_TT_2006
[FILE] Audi_TT_2006.rpk

The game will recognize this car only if folder Audi_TT_2006 and
file Audi_TT_2006.rpk will be placed in cars/racers directory. The file structure will look like this:

[DIR] cars/racers/Audi_TT_2006
[FILE] cars/racers/Audi_TT_2006.rpk

Now imagine that there's an automatic tool that will not read the instruction and just copy the files right into the game folder. Of course, this car will not work after that. To avoid this situation, you need to recreate folder structure like your mod is already installed into the game and copy it to content folder of workshop uploader.

If your mod is replacing original game files, it's ok, installation tool will leave their backups. Just put them into right folders, otherwise they will not work after installation.

WARNING

We will review all existing workshop items to check if they're compatible with our installation tool. If you'll receive a message from Valve with something like "your workshop item is banned", don't panic, we have to mark incompatible items as banned for making them invisible for the installer. After an item got banned, you'll need to modify its folder structure and reupload it to Steam again.

Installation tool will become available in build 926.

We decided to release this update as soon as possible. It has only two improvements:

- Improved tail lights
- Fixed random reset of career progress

Career should not drop you back to the last position in Green Slip racing club anymore. If this will happen once again, please, let us know. Tail light rays may blink due to some internal limitations on dynamic lights in this game engine, this will be improved in the future.

NOTICE: old savegame files may not work! If the game keeps crashing when loading them, start new career.
