We will be playing the demo and talk about the game. So feel free to join us and chat with us. This is our first time to do any kinds of live streaming so it's going to be super fun and everything will probably go wrong!

Subterrain Mines of Titan public demo release date
Hello everyone!
We are happy to announce that the public demo for the Subterrain Mines of Titan will be released a bit earlier than the official Steam Next date.
It will be released around 10 PDT time on 2nd of June.
We still think the demo is not yet 100% ready, but we wanted to release it sooner so that the press can play the demo ahead of the Steam Fest.
We will still be updating the demo all the way to the main game release.
This is very exciting, yet very nervous time for us, and we are expecting a lot of feedback and bugs to popping up! So please do give us any feedback, bug report by Steam forum or at our Discord channel.
Thank you and we are looking forward to hearing from you!
Steam Next Fest
Good news!
We are participating Steam Next Fest held on June 13th to 20th!
The event starts exactly at 10AM Pacific time and we are going to feature a public playable demo for the first time and will be doing two live streaming during the fest. We will announce more about the upcoming live streaming in near future.
Public demo may be available to be played a bit sooner, but we will update the dates if we can release it earlier.
We hope to see many players try the demo and give us valuable feedback to make the game even better.
To add to this news, we are working hard to bring the game to be released this year. Fingers crossed!
Subterrain : Mines of Titan
This is official announcement that the development of next game in Subterrain franchise is named:
Subterrain : Mines of Titan
Steam page has been updated with new character art direction too!
As some of you may already know, we have recently collected information about the naming of the game and the direction of the game that the player wants.
Here is a brief summery of the poll result.
Around 70% responded as the game should be called something else.
Also, interestingly enough, around 80% said they would follow it if it was named as other title such as Mines of Titan.
The results were pretty strong and clear.
Having observed above and the game is moving on with Subterrain : Mines of Titan. A kind of spin off series like direction, we would like to give a brief detail on the direction of the game we have taken. We think the fans of the first game deserves a bit more explanation as of why we are creating Mines of Titan.
Please read on if you are interested.
When we first started to develop another game in Subterrain universe, the goal was simple, to create another good game within the same game universe, possibly with "2" on it and hence the base of the game play very similar to the first game. So the first few prototypes were top down shooter, isometric top down shooter, and we even tried 3D !
We felt good about them, however, after couple of months into the development, something unexpected happened. The main reason why we felt that we are going to be able to pull off another Subterrain game was that the original artist and designer of the game was able to rejoin the team. Unfortunately, after couple of months into the development, that member of the team had to leave again. The reason behind the resignation was purely personal and we do not really want to discuss it here. But whatever the reason that was, at the end of the day, people make the game. We struggled for a quiet a while after that, but one thing was clear. Never give up! However, it was also clear that it would be very difficult for us to keep going at the same direction as we have originally started.
After considering a lot of options, rather than giving up, we have decided to create something that "we could" at the time of the decision was made with the best possible outcome in mind. There was several factors which we considered. Development budget, time, our own ability to produce certain types of art. We even had to consider another unfortunate event of losing another member of the team. Many of you were asking about the reason behind the turn based, but it was a decision that was made based on the best option we could out of what we had. It was not the choice of something that we thought one type would be better than the other.
Looking back, if we have given up, there would possibly be nothing. Nothing as no more Pixellore at all. At least, now we believe we have maybe not Subterrain 2 as we have clearly been told by a lot of you, but something that is still decent game that we can keep building on.
Before I end the long story, I would like to finally give what to become of Subterrain 2.
If we ever survive another journey of finishing Subterrain : Mines of Titan and still be able to create another game called Subterrain 2, it will be :
1. Top down shooter. 2. 2D. 3. Almost the same game play experience of the first game but improved. 4. Possibly multiplayer. ( this is highly unlikely, depends on the budget ) 5. Announcing the game very early and get the feedback even earlier.
So, thank you all for giving us your feedback.
We will now move on and do our best to finish the Mines of Titan so that we have another chance of creating "real" Subterrain 2 sequel. We understand that our current game may not be for some of you, but please do consider supporting the game in anyway you can.
