The game has been updated regularly, so there are no important changes in 1.0 since last update. A lot of new content has been added to the game during the 3 years of Early Access:



Sumerians will keep getting updates, although not as frequently as during Early Access, and the next sale will be during the upcoming Steam Fall Sale.

I’m excited to announce the official release date of Sumerians: October 17th.

I want to express my gratitude to all the early supporters. Thanks to your help and feedback I have been able to continue the development of Sumerians until the entire roadmap has been completed.

During these 3 years of Early Access a lot of new content has been added to the game: the Palaces, Animal Husbandry, Fishing, the Health system, the Technology Tree, several new buildings, the entire campaign, and many more features.

Transporters and Orders Fixes


The maximum load of transporters getting Beer as salary is now 150% percent. The normal loads for all transports are:

  • Person: General: 4. Grain: 8, Bricks, Sandstone, Diorite, Mud and Clay: 2. Cedar Logs: 0
  • Donkey: General: 20. Grain: 40, Bricks, Sandstone, Diorite, Mud and Clay: 10. Cedar Logs: 2
  • Ox Cart: General: 50. Grain: 100, Bricks, Sandstone, Diorite, Mud and Clay: 25. Cedar Logs: 5


The behavior of transporters when working on a Transport order has been revised, correcting some errors.
An updated behavour is that when transporters arrive at a building with more products that they can deliver, they will drop off as many as they can and then find another building to deliver the rest, except for transporters on a Transport order set to Full Load. In this case they'll remain until they have delivered all of their product. No more transporters are assigned to the same order if there is at least one transporter waiting, whether to load or to deliver, but those already on their way will join the wait.

Other Bugs and Fixes

  • Fixed: Place Type loading incorrectly.
  • Breveries are now the last place to look when taking Grain for salaries instead of Ports. Now the order of consumption is: Storage buildings, Farming buildings, Ports, Breweries.
  • Fixed: End condition in Transport orders loading incorrectly.



Price Update Announcement


A few days after this update, the price of the game will increase slightly. The price conversion for different currencies could also be updated following Steam's recommendations.
The game will be released outside of Early Access at a discounted price for a while. The release date will be announced in the coming weeks.

-Fixes a bug where trasnporters would get stuck at their destination and keep accumulating goods instead of delivering them.
-Fixes a bug in the delivery of building materials that could cause other workers to stop working.

  • Increased the number of merchant ships for large maps.
  • The sixth step in the Eridu campaign is now optional.
  • Camera sensitivity setting now affects all movements.

  • Fixed: Transport orders not moving Cedar logs to construction sites.
  • Fixed: 'Keep at max' button on the ox enclosure panel not staying selected.

Added Ambient sounds:

  • River: Water flow + birds
  • Livestock: Cattle, Sheep, Donkey.
  • Crowds in the market stalls.


Fixes:

  • Sheep Meat can now be delivered with transport orders.
  • Fixed full transport load option in transport orders.
  • Second product bar on game screen was not displaying when loading.
  • Options to see autosave files more visible now on the Load Screen


Other changes in transport orders:

  • After choosing the origing building, the mode to select the will be activated automatically if it was blank.
  • The panel for a transport order will now alert if there is already a similar order: same product, and same buildings.

Patch 0.5.6.3

Patch 0.5.6.3 is live!

-Fixed: Incorrect sicence difficulty level when loading a saved game.

-Change: Placing a gate on a wall no longer make houses to instantly lower their level. If the construction of the gate has not been completed after one year the wall will then be considered broken and houses will change to lower levels.

-Other minor fixes.
