Game Difficulty




The new difficulty system merges Fertility and Humidity into Soil and introduces Population difficulty.


  • Soil: Crop yields, irrigation distance from canals and extraction speed for Clay, Mud and Salt.
  • Population: How easily the needs of citizens are satisfied -private demands, services, taxes- to get new people who want to join the city.
  • Trade:Better or worse trading prices
  • Science: The amount generated from scribes, and how much is the workers limit raised after researching new technologies.



Now every difficulty value can be edited before starting a new game.

A new Expert level (the most difficult) has been added, available when editing.


Map selection


Introducing a new large map size.

Added an option to move the map box to choose a different location.




Other changes

-The needs for a house or private workshop to upgrade would be shown on green or red in its panel, being easier to check which needs have been met.

-“Low” level of health is now “Medium”, so the 3 levels of heath are Medium, High and Very High.
Other minor bugs and corrections.


Note of future updates
There will be few updates over the next few months as the game gets ready for its final release (date to be announced).
The official launch does not mean that the work on Sumerians will stop. Although every goal of the road map has already been achieved I hope to the able to keep adding more content in the future.
I just want to say how grateful I am to all of you for playing the game, and to those that have sent me feedback and new ideas. Thank you for making this possible!

-Fixed a couple of bugs in transport orders that had a chance to crash the game or cause an error during the save process.

Changes on Transport orders:

  • If there is only one possible product to transport between the two buildings, it will be selected automatically.
  • When selecting a product to be delivered to a warehouse or a builders yard, valid products that have been set as not accepted in the warehouse will have a small question mark on their icon. Once the order is confirmed the product will then be set as accepted in this building.
  • Added a “Transport orders” entry to the Game guide.
  • A fix to be able to make easier to cancel orders with the wrong product.


Other fixes:

  • Fixed a bug in transporters not moving the right product to a production building.
  • Fixed a bug in transporters no taking products out of the port.
  • Fixed a bug where oxen enclosures would not keep the option to stay at full capacity.

Transport orders




Now you can create orders to tell your transporters to move a product between two buildings.
There are several options when creating or editing an order:

  • Select or change the product to be transfered.
  • Tell the transporters to wait until their load is at full capacity
  • Limit the maximum amount of transporters to work for this order.
  • Choose between different order modes to activate it or end it:

    • Always active.
    • Transport a fixed amount of goods.
    • Activate when the product in destiny is lower than a set amount.
    • Activate when the product in the first buildng is higher than a set amount.
    • Keep transporting until the building is empty of the product.

The orders are created in the Transporters buildings.
An order can be modified, paused or cancel at any time.
The orders will ignore any other limitations set on the building, such as having a reduced radius or the priorities set for the transporters.
When not working on an active order the transporters will keep working as normal.

Inventory bar




A semi transparent “+” button on the top of the screen will activate the new inventory bar. Here you can select any product and see the amount available at your warehouses.

Livestock info




New info has been added in the Inventory and Workers panel to show how many animals you own. For donkeys and oxen you can also see how many of them are in an enclosure or working as transporters.
