Ox Carts



Ox Carts can tranport more goods that Donkeys.
They can be use from the new transporter building.
Each cart uses two oxen.

Oxen enclosure


Oxen can’t be brought or bred, and can only be acquired from existing Cattle when is moved to an Oxen enclosure.

Donkey breeding


Now Donkeys can be brought and bred on its own enclosure.

Changes in transport



In the transporters buildings the number of desired transporters can be set, and once there are available animals in enclosures, they are automaticacly transferred to the transporters building.
Each city starts with a few donkeys at the initial storage building. It’s necessary to have a Donkeys enclosure to be able to use them as transport.
‘Transport Animal’ entry has been added to the Game guide.

New tech


Oxen carts are unlocked after researching ‘Wheeled vehicles’ in the Tech tree, a technology that becomes available after ‘Potter’s wheel’ has been discovered.

Campaing



2 new chapters has been added to the campaign:

  • Lagash. Improving the quality of life.
  • Uruk. The Temple gains power.


New Camera


The game camera movement has been updated. Now it rotates around the world, and it has zoom intead of changing height.


Other:
-Some fixes in the Religious reputation panel.
-Artefacts and religious reputation of temples corrected.
-A bug in govenment buildings not changing all scribes of the same type.

-Fixed a few bugs when saving.

-Added saving and loading error messages: When an error was encountered saving or loading, the game would throw an internal error without notifying the player. This could cause the game to freeze or load a city where some systems were not working properly. A message will now appear if an error is encountered when saving or loading a game.

New housing tier





  • New houses for new tier 3.
  • Previous 3 and 4 tiers are now 4 and 5.
  • The new tier needs medium Security (more bellow), medium Water, and Mud walls.


New production Chain: Leather.





  • New Product: Hides and Leather.
  • New production building: Tannery, where Leather is made from Hides and Salt.
  • New technology: Tannery.


Changes in security




The security level at every Guard Post can now be set to Medium, High or Very High.
Security guards will consume products monthly according to its level.
-Medium: Leather.
-High: Leather + Copper weapons.
-Very High: Leather + Bronze weapons

Save game compatibility: All previous versions are still playable. The Guard post from previous versions will be set to medium security level.

Other changes and fixes:
-Salt production has been increased.
-Fixed: Livestock enclosures not working after hiring workers from zero.
-Fixed: Plazas being built over water.

Update 0.4: Livestock

Update v.0.4.1 is live!


Introducing Cattle.




New Buildings:
- Livestock. An enclosure to breed and raise your cattle.
- Salt Pond.
- Meat Curing.

New production chain:
Cattle provides Meat, which can be used with Salt to get Cured Meat.
Untreated Meat spoils quickly and it can’t be traded or stored in any other building.
Cured Meat can also be used to increase salaries in some buildings and it’s also needed to complete 'Hymns' in the Tech tree.

New Technology:
Food Preservation. Unlocks Salt Pond and Meat Curing



Other Changes:
A new artifact have been added to the Ziggurat that require Jewelry.
The Cedar logs artifact – wooden doors- has also been added to Temple.

Fixes:
An error in farming taxes. You may be getting more grain from taxes now.
UI elements will no longer close after dragging the camera with the mouse right button.

Save game compatibility: All games from previous versions are still playable, but some changes in storage buildings to add new products will reset any saved configuration in these buildings to 'Accept all'.

What’s next


Livestock features in the game will continue to expand in future updates:

  • Leather production. Guards will require Leather goods to get higher security levels.
  • Donkey and Sheep breeding.
  • Wool production.
  • Oxen carts for the transporters (and maybe bridges, so they can cross rivers).
  • Health. The concentration of people and animals brought with it an increase in infectious diseases, so it may be time to add some doctors.

  • Fixed a bug that was keeping the Tech Tree hidden after playing the campaign.

0.3.15 Campaign and Free Mode

Update 0.3.15 is live!

Campaign




The 3 fist chapters of the campaing have been added to the game. They replace the previous tutorials as they cover the most basic features.

Each chapter will require creating a new city with its own objectives. Starting from the second chapter they can be played in Easy mode that will provide some free buildings that do not require construction.
More chapters will be added in the future.


Game guide




A new game guide has been added with more thorough explanations of the main game features.

It’s also a work in progress and more content may be added in future updates. If there are other features that you would like to see added to the guide or expanded on, let me know in comments, forums, Discord, etc.


Free mode


A new sandbox option has been included:

  • Removes all products. There is no Grain or resources management, so there is no salaries, storage or production.
  • No need for builders as everything builds itself.
  • All State buildings are still available and they provide jobs.
  • The city still needs religion, walls, and services to grow.
  • It can be played with Tech tree (science points still needed to unlock technologies and State workers cap), or without Tech tree (everything unlocked).


Other changes

  • The option to play only with a State workers limit, and no products caps, is now selected by default for new games.
  • The ‘Continue’ button in the Start menu to load the last saved game it won’t be available if a new game has not been saved or autosaved, or when a chapter of the campaign has just been completed.
