Epidemics are deadly diseases that spread among citizens. They originate from livestock farms and trading ports. After infecting one or more of its workers it will spread from their homes to neighboring houses.
An epidemic can be contained using purification bonfires. The bonfires can be placed in housing zones that are already getting health effect from a Doctors’ building. There can be as many bonfires as doctors were in the city at the beginning of the epidemic.
After the epidemic ends you will have access to the total number of casualties.
Epidemics and the use of bonfires in ancient Mesopotamia
The author mentions cases of rituals during epidemics in ancient Mesopotamia to prevent further deaths, “which culminated in the burning of a brush pile. Whether or not this incineration was an act of purification, or a means to handle large amounts of casualties, remains unknown.”
So, we may not know all the details about these rituals but we do know that they use fire, and that large pyres would have been burned at times during epidemics in ancient Mesopotamia.
Anyway, if you just want to get rid of all epidemics in your cities there is no need to perform purification rituals to appease the gods. They can be can be switched off from the Settings screen.

Health now replaces “Jobs” in Quality of life stats.
Health also becomes necessary for the citizens houses' to upgrade.
Sheep
New breeding animal available.
Sheep produces Woolen Fleece twice a year, and when they reach their maximun age they are sacrificed to get some Hides and Meat.
New production chain: Sheep → Woolen Fleece → Wool → Dyed Wool
Wool and Dyed Wool are produced in the same buildings as Linen and Fabrics.
Workers salaries can be improved with Dyed Wool instead of Fabrics. This can be changed for each building on their own panel.
Other balancing adjustments:
Flax yield has been reduced.
Hides production from cattle has been increased.
More storage capacity in livestock farms.
Salt extraction speed has been increased.

Bridges
Two models of bridges have been added so now that citizens and transport can cross the rivers.
They are availabe in the paths section of the construcion menu.
The small bridge requires no building materials and is available from the start of the game. It blocks boats.
The big bridge is made from bricks. It’s availabe after researching Vaults. Boats can pass under it.
Other fixes:
Oxen beings seen under water level.
Cattle being taken to become oxen without respecting the minimun amount for breeding.
Transport type in buildings signs fixed for carts. It now updates correctly.
Low security in creative mode.
Other minor bugs and texts corrections.
