Thanks to Steam Remote play you can now enjoy Super Chains virtually anywhere using your phone or tablet. It's a breeze to setup, the picture quality is great and there is virtually no latency. Try out Super Chains via the free Steam Link app (or in Big Picture mode) for a custom-tailored experience that is best enjoyed on touchscreens. This is still a Beta feature so post your suggestions below on how we can make Super Chains feel more enjoyable on the go. Thanks for reading and much LÖVE, 2dengine
Mid-game improvements and cheating
Greetings folks, I have just completed a meticulous replay of stages 10-20 and have fixed several issues. First off, the hints system is now fully animated which is much more helpful when displaying long and intertwining chains.
Many of the mid to late-game stages have been improved too and are a lot less demanding. The dreaded rhythm-based level now displays your current sequence making the objective far less confusing.
If you are still stuck you can cheat by going to the stats screen and clicking on the “puzzles” row 20 times to unlock all stages.
Huge thanks goes out to Dohi64 and merfab76 for their suggestions. You too can help by posting your ideas on the Community Hub or by going to 2dengine.com and translating Super Chains into more languages.
Thank you for playing, 2dengine
Help bring Super Chains to more languages
Greetings folks, As suggested by one of our top betatesters, I have pushed an update that shows the level names on the title screen. This is a minor tweak but it brought to my attention that the game is fully localized in just three languages in addition to English. While the wordsearch puzzle supports 13 languages we desperately need to get the rest of the user interface localized.
Help us out by going to the following page, then choose your language and click “Login” to start translating:

Super Chains is an awesome little puzzler and your help makes a big difference. Also we send out free Steam keys to the top contributors so give us a hand!

Difficulty curve tweaks
Hello and thank you for supporting Super Chains! Super Chains is the sequel to the classic puzzle game from a decade ago called Chains.
Recently, a great Steam curator by name of Dohi64 has pointed out a discrepancy in the game's leaderboards. In short, Dohi64 noticed that there weren't that many entries on a particular stage.
This attracted my attention so I generated a simple graph showing the number of leaderboard entries per stage. To get your name in the leaderboards, you have to complete each stage so essentially this is a graph of the game's difficulty curve.
Notice there are some glaring gaps here, in particular with stages 4,6,11 and 19. Super Chains was an early access game so the stages were not released in order. This explains some of the gaps in the graph, but there are still some significant drops that had to be addressed. I went ahead and adjusted the difficulty on a couple of stages to ensure that new players can advance without feeling like the game is being unfair.
Greetings folks,
It's been 100 days since Super Chains came out to Early Access! To celebrate, we have pushed an update that improves the hiscores interface. Behind the scenes, we've upgraded to the brand new Steamworks v1.44. This may cause a few crashes here and there, but hopefully everything should be fixed and running smoothly in the next few days.
Additionally, we are now backwards compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or later). If your mom or pop have had trouble running the game on their aging computer in the past, than you may consider giving Super Chains another try!

Leaving Early Access
Greetings and thank you for supporting Super Chains, the sequel to the indie classic Chains from a decade ago!
I'm happy to announce that today we have released the 20th and final puzzle of Super Chains. This is an important milestone since the game can now officially move out of early access!
Spiral is a pattern-matching puzzle where you have to find the longest sequence of increasing numbers. This is just one of the 20 original puzzles featured in Super Chains.
As promised, all 50 achievements are now available to hunt down. Each puzzle has two unique achievements plus there are 10 additional achievements you can earn across stages.
Greetings and thank you for supporting Super Chains!
The game has become a lot more stable, since we started accepting automatic error reports. Super Chains will hopefully come out of Early Access by the end of this week (March 9th). Please grab the game now since the price may increase in the future!

Early Access Week 9
Greetings and thank you for supporting Super Chains!
It's been a busy week. We've done a lot of work behind the scenes to create a new build pipeline which means more stable and frequent updates. Shout-outs to all the brave souls who have supported us during Early Access. I don't want to single anybody out, but thank you so much for reporting bugs and providing feedback. Having said that, I can guarantee that there will be no more in-game errors... we have set up an error reporting system that will quietly catch and send any bugs to 2dengine.com. This is done automatically so we can respond to bugs faster and more effectively.
I'm happy to say that we are very close to leaving Early Access. Development is going smoothly and we've almost reached the original goal of 20 puzzles and 50 achievements. We're also hoping to provide trading cards for the game, which are expected to drop in 3-6 months.
Thanks for reading and much LÖVE,

Early Access Week 8
Greetings and thank you for supporting Super Chains!
First off, I would like to thank everybody who has provided help and feedback during development. Shutouts to Human Spider and Kaz Brazil for translating the game into several new languages. If you speak another language you can help us out by going to: https://2dengine.com/translate/?r=1669 (just make sure to login using your Steam account).
This week we have released two new puzzles (just one more left of the 20 planned)
The Color Link puzzle will replace the old Pyramid stage - which was superseded by the Hex stage. Color link is an interesting variation of the traditional Number link puzzles. It was difficult to make this stage procedural (turns out that it's hard to avoid zig-zag paths), but I think the result works quite well (at least for small-sized puzzles).
The Rhythm puzzle is a music-based minigame about building a sequence of notes. This one will test both your analytical skills and your timing, so make sure to give it a try.
Additionally, I have created six new achievements (a total of 50 are planned!) At this rate we are going to leave Early Access sooner than expected.
Thanks for reading and much LÖVE!
Early Access Week 7
Greetings and thank you for supporting Super Chains. Development is going great and at this rate the game should be out of Early Access in another week or two!
Just released another puzzle for you and at this point we're up to 18 and counting. Circulation is a new stage (featuring soft-body deformation) that pushes the limits of the Box2D physics engine. It's a lot of fun so make sure to check it out.
Additionally I've made a few adjustments to the Doubles! puzzle. This is a subtle change, but when you clear a specific number off the board it's no longer served. This adds a new layer of strategy to that stage.
