Super Dungeon Run

Update 6.0 - [Early Access] - 23/10/15

Greetings Dungeon Runners!

In this update we focused mainly on adding more variety to the dungeon layouts. We did this by adding 108 more sections which make the dungeon 'turn' 90 degrees left or right. There can be multiple turning sections per floor so you should see a huge variety in the shapes you encounter! In addition to this we added more variety to the start and end rooms, so you'll get one of several possibilities.

We have more languages for you too! Massive thanks to Alberto Taiuti (Italian) and Kamil Tajs (Polish). All the translations we have would have been impossible without our awesome community!

There are more tweaks and changes included, so be sure to check out the full list below!

Changelog

  • Added a quit to desktop button in the village
  • The game language can now be set to Polish
  • The game language can now be set to Italian
  • Starting room variety has been added
  • Exit room variety has been added
  • Turning sections added to increase dungeon variety
  • The player can only get wood and leather from the Cellar
  • The player can only get metal and gems from the Crypt
  • Material drops are now more rare, but become more common deeper into the dungeon
  • Party stats have been level locked to better control progression
  • Stragglers are now autonomous, but will stand still when nothing of interest is in range

Until next time, keep on running!

Update 5.0 - [Early Access] - 18/09/15

Greetings Dungeon Runners! We've got a big update for you this time!

The biggest change you will see will be real time lighting and shadows. You can adjust the graphical quality options in the launcher, and this will have a definite effect on the performance. Let us know how it runs on your system as we want to be sure we're running well even on low spec machines!

We've added physics to certain props in the game! You'll be able to kick about braziers and candelabras, but more importantly, no more getting stuck on chairs! Just knock them flying!

We've added the ability to zoom the camera in and out using the mouse-wheel! If you want to get back to the default zoom, press the 'z' key, or you can rebind it in the launcher.

Last but not least, we've added a new way for characters to die; if they take a lot of damage in one hit and are killed, they will explode! We know you'll have great fun trying out the different ways to make this happen...

As always, here's the full list of updates:

Changelog

  • The game language can now be set to Portuguese
  • Notifications such as ‘Floor complete’ have been translated
  • Stools, stone chairs and other props now have physics
  • Dungeons now have real-time lighting and shadows
  • Characters now explode when they take too much damage
  • Changed the way dungeon sections are spawned to make updates easier
  • The camera defaults to the the intended zoom level above a certain resolution
  • The camera can be zoomed in and out using the mouse-wheel and reset using the ‘z’ key
  • The game now utilizes Steam Cloud saves

Until next time, keep on running!

Update 4.0 - [Early Access] - 28/08/15

Greetings Dungeon Runners! We're back with another update!

The biggest change this time is to character movement. The different classes now have individualized acceleration and deceleration, and this has improved the speed and responsiveness of the game overall. When you play it, it just feels tighter and more satisfying.

The melee classes generally have better acceleration than the ranged ones, so as a result you will also see a very slight natural changing of the formation of the party as it moves. As melee heroes pull away quicker, they naturally move to the front of the group. Try holding the mouse button in short bursts to really separate them out.

We've also changed the way traps deal damage and how they scale that damage as you get deeper into the dungeon. This will be particularly noticeable with fire-pits and flamethrowers. This is tied into a feature for a further update coming soon...! ;]

There are a couple of other additions and you can read about them in the full changelog below:

Changelog

  • You can now mouse over characters to see their level, or press the spacebar or V key to see everyone’s level at once. The keys can be rebound in the Unity launcher
  • Fixed characters and traps being able to see through walls
  • Tweaked the acceleration and deceleration of the different hero classes which should result in a slight natural separation of melee and ranged characters. Movement overall is now quicker and more responsive as a result
  • Characters and objects now give off damage numbers as they receive hits
  • Changed the way traps deal damage to be better scaled across character levels and floors

Enjoy the update and keep on running!

Update 3.0 - [Early Access] - 12/08/15

Hi guys, a small update this time!

As mentioned previously we've added language options. Just English and French at the moment, but hopefully Portuguese coming soon! Once again, if you fancy helping out with translations, do get in touch!

In addition, individual volume controls for sound effects and music have been added. No more ear destroying maximum or nothing at all!

Changelog

  • Added French translations
  • Added audio sliders for sound effects and music

Thanks guys and keep on running!

French translations in the next update!

Greetings Dungeon Runners new and old!

Just a quick announcement to say that we'll be releasing another update within the next few days!

The biggest feature in it will be French translations, provided by MuiWui, one of our awesome forum members and players! Massive thanks to him! The game should auto detect your system language, but we'll include options in the menus so you can manually set it. If anyone else would be interested in translating the game into a particular language, we'd love to hear from you!

We'll also have audio sliders! You'll be able to set the volume levels of the sound effects and music individually.

As I say, keep an eye out for the update within the next few days! Thanks!
