Patch 1.3.2 approaches you!

A player requested a new feature (to be able to set V-Sync or max framerate), so I decided I would try to include some other changes while I was at it! :-) 

  • Added both frame rate max setting and V-Sync settings in options menu. These can only be set while you are in the main menu. Press the "Show Advanced Settings" button to access them. V-Sync is now on by default;

  • Fixed glitch with volume settings where master volume was incorrectly applied to sub-volumes;

  • Added updated font that includes lower case;

  • Redesigned menus (made buttons and fonts smaller and other things);

  • Fixed glitch with certain songs restarting when volume turned off;

  • A few behind the scenes code updates/revisions;

Patch 1.3.1 has finally arrived!

Notes:

Thanks to some recent feedback (and a nice and detailed e-mail from a player), I've got a new update for the game! A big thank you to everyone who has played the game!


  • 1.3.1B addition (thanks to a request in discussion board): Added option to enable/disable 'short-jumping' in controls menu. When enabled, short-jumping allows you to control jump height by how long you hold the jump button. Barely tapping it will give you a small hop, and holding will make you jump higher. (This also currently only affects the regular player, morphing sphere and the froggy transformations.)

  • Fixed gamepad glitch where crouching and rapidly pressing up and jump+attack would allow for an upwards whip attack while jumping.

  • Changed vehicle hint text to "press activate button" so that gamepad users won't see a silly semi-colon! :P

  • Added extra platform on 1.4 in the hive so getting the first rocket ammo pickup will be less annoying.

  • Fixed glitch where sometimes falling flying enemies would get stuck and not disappear.

  • On Stage 5.4, I made it to where the camera in the first water area will follow the player if you fall all the way down the first pit.

  • For stage 6.4, I enhanced the Leaf Copter code so that rare glitches with being unable to fly do not occur. Also added a hint on how to operate the Leaf Copter.

  • Fixed glitch where pausing game while crouching and releasing crouch during pause leaves you still crouched upon unpausing.

  • Now the non-instant kill ground spikes will properly launch the player into the air each time.

  • Made pause menu black background transparent so you can see the player's position when the first pause menu is shown.

  • Some miscellaneous behind the scenes code, for possible future content.

  • ...And most importantly now you can pet the cats in Stage 7.3! Added new achievement!

Patch 1.2.9 waves hi!

Ver. 1.2.9 patch notes:



  • Improvements to responsiveness of controls;

  • Player can attack faster and respond quicker to being attacked;

  • Player damage invulnerability lasts longer;

  • Changes to how player transitions between certain states for smoother animating;

  • Some extra animations for certain objects;

  • Boss and Stage balancing/tweaking;

  • Camera less jittery when player crouches;

  • Various changes to improve performance;

Patch 1.2.8 gives the game an ending!

  • Added an ending sequence to the game;

  • Added indie developers that you can rescue;

  • Gave the main menu some life to it;

  • All the stages got some enhancing, balancing, tweaking, etc;

    So now the game is pretty much complete. I want to do a bit more testing and maybe add a few other things.

Patch 1.2.6 gives you a new Stage!

Stage 1 has been completed and it includes the following:


  • 8 new enemies, a new boss, 6 new areas, a new song, and others;

  • 2 new weapons: the pistol and super bazooka;

  • A new transformation....The Froggy!;

  • I created a new HUD (health bar, ammo, score counter, etc) that fits the look of the game much better;

  • Also includes some glitch fixing and enhancements to other parts of the game;
