Superstatic Update #9
It's been a while but we're back with a few more quality of life improvements and fixes, here's the changelog:
- Crates have a chance of spawning guns and armour
- Fixed Radios achievement
- Fixed Speedrunner achievement
- Misc level polish and changes
The misc level polish and changes refers to some positions of enemies, some dialogue updates and some changes to enemy attributes (e.g. on the level Fluorescent Phantoms we've reduced the health of the enemies down to the regular 1-hit health).
Superstatic Hotfixes 19/08/16
Hey guys,
Over the past 2 days a few issues have come to our attention and I'm posting this so that everyone knows what's been fixed:
- Fixed a crash caused when creating a copy and possessing a guard
- Fixed sometimes not being able to leave specific levels
These are two pretty big issues that have now been resolved. If you were having problems before you should now be able to play the game in full.
If there are any other issues please let us know and we will get them patched as soon as possible (usually the same day).
Superstatic Update #8 Patch Notes
Hey,
This update is a massive performance update for the game, especially for Level 12. Here are the changes:
- Levels with many NPCs should see a large performance improvement.
- Fixed stuttering when using your copy on larger levels.
- Enemy reaction times have been slightly reduced to provide a small performance boost.
Level 12 was originally one of our biggest levels (and still is). It was meant to be a large open sandbox for you to play with in terms of hiding in buildings and using all your available abilities but unfortunately the engine couldn't really handle it.
That said you should see a 30-40fps boost across the board and the original "City" map has been added to the "custom" maps folder.
Today we'll be releasing a new patch that will finally be adding Steam achievements (10 of them) and adding a few quality of life features.
The new achievements will range from using your abilities in creative (or destructive ways) to completing levels in interesting ways (like not killing anyone).
The quality of life additions are mostly unnoticeable but one major change we've made is that you will no longer be able to pickup guns with no ammo, leading to less frustrating situations where you're scavenging around trying to find a gun with more than zero ammo.
As a side note Java now comes packaged with the game meaning you will not need Java installed the run the game anymore.

Superstatic Update #5 Patch Notes
We'll be releasing a patch soon that has some significant balance changes to the game. Specifically, shotguns and the armour system have been reworked to feel better and more intuitive.
- Improved bullet visuals for shotguns
- Reworked bullet spread/amount of bullets for the Doublebarrel, Shotgun and Benelli.
- Added gun property. 35 by default
- Added gun property. Creates a 1 in chance to spawn a shell on the ground. 2 by default
- Reworked the armour system. Now, if you have less than 3 but more than 0 armour you can still pickup armour. Whatever is left remains in the pickup on the ground
- Significantly improved performance in some of the larger levels
Level editor released!
The Superstatic level editor has finally been released! You can now make your own maps, guns and guards to use in your own custom levels.
We've added a menu in the game to handle most of this. You can check out the map-making documentation as well as launch the "new map utility" from inside the game.
We look forward to seeing your custom levels!
