Roadmap

Sorry guys, there was a week with no updates. This was because of some questions in regards to the future funding of this project. Luckily all the issues have been resolved, funding is allocated and I continue full time on this project until release.

More details about what's coming:

- New exciting Quest: Ship Battle, not only with fighting on ships but also steering ship and more cool activities

- Co-op multiplayer for the ship battle Quest has been confirmed. More details on that will be revealed later.

The name of the game likely will have to change because the Arena will be just part of the game and not the main thing as it is now.

As the new Quest functionalities develop. They will be enabled one by one, so you can try them before they are all fully put together.

Expected release (end of Early Access) is early this fall. But the changes will be presented on regular updates, from now on, so you can try them and comment.

Finally I want to express big Thank You to everyone who purchased, reviewed or shared this game, because of you this project will not die!

Update 1.0.18

This is small update to enable getting medicine in the sky base. No more medicine in the basements.

Now working on opponent movement during combat.

Update 1.0.17

This update brings complete redesign of opponent attacks. You will find them much more clear. Let me know if this way they are too easy to deflect. I will introduce easy, medium and hard levels soon, this should probably be the easy one.

Another improvement in this update is better detection of when you are being stabbed by the opponent.

Please try it, it improves combat a lot. Let me know of any issues that you encounter.

Next I want to make opponents move around more. This will also serve as a foundation for introduction of quests in different locations like castles, ships etc (starting in May). You earn some coins in the arena then you can buy your way for a quest, if you survive the quest you make more coins, may be even collect other items, etc.

Update 1.0.16

This update brings Oculus Rift support with Touch controllers

Upcoming updates will make the game play more dynamic.

Also there will be quests in which you will fight outside of the main arena.

Update 1.0.14

- You can make opponent stumble backwards
- You can make opponent bend under your attack
- Every level starts from random basement (any of the 8 basements)

Update 1.0.12

This update tunes a number of parameters of the previous v1.0.11 update.

Even though it does not add new functionality it improves a lot game play by tuning different parameters.

Update 1.0.11

This update makes it harder to defeat opponent. Stretching your hand and waving it will not help you now.

Initially opponent is applying best defense. With time he gets tired and slowly starts to make mistakes. Your goal is to recognize and use them. At the same time you need to protect yourself.

The short guys get tired faster than the taller.

I will likely have to introduce easy, medium and hard modes in the future, but let me know if this one is too easy or too hard.

Update 1.0.10

This update improves opponent attacks.

Now opponent can attack your sword hand too.

Some other small improvements.

Let me know if you think the opponent is too aggressive with his attacks now.

The next update that will come in 2-3 days will finally make it harder to defeat opponent. Thank you for your patience for that one!

Update 1.0.9

There are 2 major request for the game so far:
1. To give you better control over the sword
2. To make it harder to defeat opponent

In this update I focus on #1 You should feel significant improvement in the control of your sword when your sword and the opponent sword touch. The sword pushing with the blade is stronger.

As a side effect of this change now it will be even easier to defeat opponent. Please be aware that this is just a temporary state. Making it harder to defeat opponent is high on my priority list. However I had to do the better sword control first as I will need to be sure I will not lose it when I make opponent defense better.

Another change for this update is number of new attacks of the opponent. I wasn't able to polish them well enough so they might be a bit clumsy.

Update 1.0.8

This update resolves previously present sword resolution problem, and a number very small bugs. I think that from now on I will only announce those updates that add new consumer features or fix very important bugs. Otherwise it gets too chatty here.

The next update will be mid next week and will add number of combat improvements.
