Update 1.0.7 released

So this is not the one that will be addressing major combat issues, that one comes next week. In this one:

- Multiple opponent combat redesigned so you always fight one (let's first perfect single combat and then think how to introduce many)

- The issue of swords sometimes not being properly resolved (one popping on the wrong site) should be resolved ***

- Running animation a bit less funny :)

- You can now see what update version you have in the Help Scroll

Friday Update

I did promise update on Friday, but I am not quite satisfied with the current state so I will have to delay it. I will have one in the middle of the next week and one before the weekend. Sorry about that guys.

What I am trying to accomplish for the next weekend:

- Opponent uses diffident attacks

- When 2 swords push one another, the one pushing with the edge wins

- Avoid clipping between opponent shield and sword hand

- Improve opponent reactions to the point where it becomes harder to defeat opponent quickly

- Simplified multi-opponent combat so that you always face one at a time

- Player has more control to manipulates opponent shield

Let me know if you think I missed some other short term priorities

Update 1.0.6 released

Patch 1.0.5 is out



This patch is mainly focused on preventing multiple opponents to run into one another in higher levels. Individual combat improvements will be next.

Regular Updates


The first update is up. When you lose life the last unlocked level is no longer locking as you requested. A few minor changes.

I am committed to rolling regular updates every 2 days or so.

Please write in a review what features or issues you would like fixed first. I know one of the most annoying one now is when the opponents run into one another. This will be fixed very soon.

Sword and Shield: Arena VR is finally here! You can now experience sword and shield combat with advanced physics and realistic opponents.

The game is waiting for approval from Valve and I hope they can review it ASAP

The combat is not yet optimized for difficulty. Some may find it too easy. Others too hard. I wanted to get some feedback before optimizing it, so to make sure it reflects your expectations. Please, don’t hesitate to leave your feedback and recommendations in the comments.

So this is just a demo of the early version of the sword fight. I am working on the actual game with proper environment, world exploration, characters, story and all that. I target March 2017 for release. This is just a demo of the first experimental sword fight in a quick environment setup with no story.
