Witch's Eve Bug fixes - Patch 1.4.4

Hey everyone,

Just the typical post update patch to fix anything that slipped by in the update. This patch is mostly just bug fixes and a bit of balancing. Nothing super note-worthy.

Fixed:

  • Various NPC's in Hope Harbor will now allow you to continue your quests (Including Sen)
  • Taylor now recognizes when the boars are gone
  • Teek will let you proceed with your shield-recovering quest
  • Various typos
  • Marigold now realizes the cauldron is empty
  • If you accidentally sold one green bean from Edgar's delivery, you can abandon and restart the quest to get the delivery again
  • Clyde is now in Hope Harbor and offers you a tiny non-quest quest
  • Clothes not being added to collections properly SHOULD be fixed going forward (Existing clothing drops may still be bugged due to how the clothing was spawned into the world. Relogging may fix this. Newly dropped clothes should work with no problems)
  • Volatile powder can now be crafted
  • Various shopkeepers in Sleepy Haven are working again
  • Health potion balance tweaks

We're SO excited about this update. Last year we launched a short-lived Witch's Eve event and couldn't believe the response. We decorated Hope Harbor, handed out festival tickets and gave out some unique rewards you could only get during the event.

This year we wanted to take it to the next level.

Just another little patch to clean up a few more bugs

Pre Home at Last Update patch 1.4.1

Hey guys. Thanks for helping us find a few bugs from the update. This patch just addresses most of these and adds a nice new camera feature to help you navigate Windless Woods easier!

Home at Last

We've made it. A year after launching Swords 'n Magic and Stuff into Early Access, we are home at last. This update adds over 200 items to the game and completes the core game mechanics that were in the original single player alpha. But that doesn't mean we're finished by any means. We have lots more planned for the game!



We can't wait to see everyone's housing creations with this new update. Please make sure to share screenshots here on Steam and any of our socials! The team has been working on squashing those pesky bugs (even though they just kept creeping back in!) and creating the housing system Swords 'n Magic deserves.

Didn't mean to post this so late, but I've (Janna) been under the weather and today we were busy fixing bugs like crazy. Our testing team has been super busy with new builds 1-2 times a day. They've "painstakingly" been checking each furniture item to make sure they all work correctly. I think they've had a lot of fun though! The team is super thankful to all of our testers for taking the time to make the game better. They deserve an award!

Quick Announcement

Hey everyone!

We wanted to send out a quick announcement. Through our testing of the housing update with our dedicated testers, we’ve found a few bugs that are taking more time than we want to get fixed. Some things we can’t test in the editor, which makes it very hard to fix bugs. We want to make sure housing is solid before it gets to everyone. With that, we’ll be delaying the housing update. We hope not too long, but we want to be 100% confident in the whole housing system before shipping it to you all. As always, we’ll keep you updated.

If you would like to join our testing team to help find and fix bugs, check out the #faq channel on our Discord with a link to apply. We look for active and helpful people in our Discord to join the team.

In other news, we’ve planned out our holiday schedule! We’re excited to announce that Witch’s Eve and Frost Fall will be returning this year! Our dates are planned, but they will be announced closer to those timeframes. All of the weapons, hats, and masks will be returning this year from last year along with lots of new items and things to do! Both of these events are a limited time so you’ll want to make sure to jump in when they are available. We have some fun surprises for you all this year.
