HeroForge Support is Coming To TaleSpire
It’s the announcement many of you have been waiting for, and now we can gladly say it’s official: TaleSpire will be getting integrated HeroForge support!
[previewyoutube="jU5RiCa5hVU;full"]
The ability to summon your custom miniatures directly into the game will soon be in your hands, and we can’t wait to see what wondrous characters you populate your worlds with. Our goal is to help you bring your rich storyscapes to life with TaleSpire, so this upcoming integration means a great deal to us.
The folks over at HeroForge have been simply awesome throughout this process, and are just as excited as us to finally make this announcement. It’s a delight to work with them.
We have already worked on some prototypes: you can see HeroForge being used in TaleSpire during the Extra Credits streamThe Seven that ran on Friday 27th August, and in this week’s episode of Dimension 20’s new series, The Seven, which is airing over at dropout.tv.
We have begun working on the full integration, but there is much legwork to be done and we can’t offer a release date yet. We will update you again later in September, but for now, know that we are incredibly excited, and we look forward to making this available to you.
Until then, happy questing!
Early Access Patch 17
UPDATE: We Introduced a bug with Fire and doors. It has now been fixed with a hotfix: BUILD ID : 7242204.
This Patch mainly features Knockdown. Our first persistent emote, or Status "effect". Persistent Emotes stay enabled on the creature till the effect is toggled "off" and is the foundation for doing things like Status Effects. You can find it via a new subtree added in the Creature Radial menu, where it can be toggled.
It also works on converted props... most of the time.
Features:
Added Knockdown Status Emote (Persistent Emote)
Fixes:
Fixed where Debug button would overlap menu. It was based on Screen DPI, but is now based on InGame UI Pixel Scale.
Fixed Street Lanterns. The lanterns now show correctly when placed.
Fixed where bookmark icon wouldn't get masked in Campaign board menu.
Hope everyone enjoys this Patch.
Till next time!
NOTE: This patch required a lot of assets to be rebuilt, hence the large download size.

Early Access Patch 16
Hi folks, this patch has a bunch of small bug fixes. Let's see what we have here:
We've fixed a bug where the link tool wasn't working correctly with unique creatures We remove a limitation that meant creature names had to be at least two characters long talespire://published-board URLs now work in the board between boards Fixed a bug where reselecting campaigns in the main menu didn't populate the info correctly Squished a bug where using the paste UI button while holding a slab left an unselectable slab preview on the board that wouldn't go aware without a restart Fixed a case where leaving build mode could result in the water plane being erroneously hidden Fixed a crash on exit bug due to out-of-bounds write when there were hundreds of creatures in a small space Corrected a mistake in the creature deserialize code for emotes
All of the above were bugs reported by the community. Thanks a million for helping us track these issues down.
Early Access Patch 15
We are back with a quick update containing a feature and a fix.
The new feature is the link tool. If you are in the GM overlay and have a URL in your clipboard, pasting will active a tool where you can attach the URL to a creature or marker.
While it's simple, it can be a handy way to associate resources from sites like D&D Beyond and World Anvil to your locations and creatures.
The fix is for a bug in the last patch that caused creature names to display on the wrong creatures.
See you in the next update!
Early Access Patch 14
Hi everyone, this time, we have our first pass at supporting bookmarks.
A bookmark is a marker that has been given a name. To turn a marker into a bookmark, simply right-click on it and use the option there to name it.
Once you have done this, you can view and search them in the board panel (amongst other things).
Right, let's go through that changelog. We have:
Added bookmarks
Upgraded the GM boards panel so you can view and search boards and bookmarks from one place
Added talespire://goto/bookmark URLs. These let you jump right to a bookmark, even if you are in another campaign or if TaleSpire is not running.
A tweak so that tiles now drop in properly on board load.
A fix for a case where renaming was not updating the UI
Updated the bug-report button so that it links to the new bug tracker.
A fix that means that creature stats 4 to 8 now default to better values.
A fix so that tabbing between stat rename fields in the campaign settings panel works as expected
Fixed an error when switching boards with chat messages active.
Fixed a mistake that allowed creature names to be visible when creatures were behind the camera.
Fixed a bug in loading creatures which resulted in incorrect player ownership info.
We still have lots to do with bookmarks. For example, markers and bookmarks are currently not published along with published boards. We are looking to fix this soon.
We hope you like the direction this is heading.
Until next time, Peace.
Early Access Patch 13
This patch is focused on startup time and bug fixes. We have:
Reduced startup time to less than half of what it was previously
Reduced the time taken to process and upload icon atlases to the GPU
Fixed a DNS related bug that caused some players to be stuck on the login screen
Improve message handling when initiating the connection to the backend
Better handling of server-side issues
If you or someone you know has had issues getting past the login screen, please try this update. If it still doesn't work, feel free to come to find us on Discord. Fixing these bugs is a priority for us.
Until next time folks!
