It’s the return of the Skulls event hosted by Games Workshop!
This weekend will see the release of a myriad of free content across a number of GW license holders so games like Talisman, Talisman: The Horus Heresy, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Total War: Warhammer and much more will see updates today that will enrich their games at no cost to their users.
As many of you will know we’ve been working on the Deep Realms and Woodland with the first being scheduled to release… well, around about now. Well, now. Deep Realms is out now! As part of the Skulls for the Skull Throne event, Deep Realms will be the very first expansion released by Nomad Games that is FREE for all users.
The Deep Realms expansion for Talisman: The Magical Quest Game features two new Realms to explore: the Wraith Lord’s Domain and the Rat Queen’s Lair. Adventurers may brave the rickety bridge in an attempt to cross between the game boards found in The City and The Dungeon expansions. Heroes can also choose to delve deep into the crypt of the Wraith Lord or the nest of the Rat Queen.
Along with the free release of Deep Realms you can also catch the base game at 75% off and all expansions at up to 50% off whilst the Skulls event lasts.
Not only that, we’re also giving away Rogal Dorn and Samus, two new characters, for Talisman: The Horus Heresy! Traverse the galaxy under the banner of the immortal Perpetual or the Lupercal and help change the Tides of Wars by defeating unworthy enemies as two new Warlords. As of today Rogal Dorn and Samus will be available for FREE to all T:HH users.
Similarly to T:DE, Talisman: The Horus Heresy sees 75% off it’s base and up to 40% off all expansions whilst the Skulls event lasts.
Deep Realms, Rogal Dorn and Samus are available for free on Steam, iOS and Android.
NOTE: Deep Realms requires the City and the Dungeon to be in play to activate it.

Stream + Free Keys
Hey all,
We'll slow down with announcements regarding streaming so we don't flood the news and make you miss any development announcements but it's worth highlighting the changes that have happening/are happening to our current stream set up.
Going forward we will now stream every Tuesday and every Thursday at 8pm (UK) over on Twitch and YouTube.
Tuesday streams will be an open slot for games within the genre that we think will be fun to play and could be of interest to the Talisman audience. This Tuesday we will be playing Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and the following Tuesday we will be playing Blood Bowl 2.
Thursdays will be for Nomad Games content, primarily Talisman. With the Woodland going into beta last week chances are the next few Thursdays are going to be online games of the beta. So, if you would like to see what the new content looks like then come and say hello.
We also give out free stuff on our Twitch channel so if you want a chance to grab some Talisman expansions, Fighting Fantasy Legends or a Vermintide 2 key, then check the stream out and we'll explain how the giveaways work.
Along with the above, we are looking to do more streams of physical games due to our successful Gameblast 18 stream. If you would like a chance to influence what games gets played then head over here and vote on what should come next.

Stream - NEW CONTENT ANNOUNCEMENT

You may not have known this but we do streams every Thursday over on our Twitch channel and also on our YouTube channel. These are usually at 5pm UK time every Thursday. We've got some interesting news coming up regarding our streaming slot(s) and some changes are happening there which may be worth finding out about if you like to drop by and keep us company.
But! The big news! That's what you're here for. We are about to go into beta for the next round of content that we've been working on and we will name that content during tomorrow's stream.

The Samurai - OUT NOW!
Hey all,
We have a new character for you to get your hands on!
The Samurai is a traditional, martial warrior. Trained in the ways of her ancestors she can utilise her powers of kyujutsu to turn money into strength or call on her yu to support those who are in need. Her skills and mastery make her a strong choice for challenging her foes head on.
The Samurai is available for general purchase and will also be included in the Talisman Season Pass.
Thursday Stream + GameBlast18!
Right, we've got loads of information for streams so I'll try and keep it short and sweet and provide links that explain more for those who are interested.
We'll be doing our regular Thursday stream at 5pm (UK). We're continuing our 'A Beginner's Guide To' series with this week's free expansion, the Dragon. It is probably one of the most complex expansions but the digital versions adds the perk of handling the resource management for you. If you want to ask questions about how it works, how Nomad works, how the industry works or anything that is nonsensical then feel free to come and join us - we also give out free keys for stuff.
This is a charity event run by the company SpecialEffect. It will run the full weekend but Nomad will be doing a special stream on Friday to support the event.
The plan
We'll be playing a physical 'pay-to-win' variant of Talisman with our fund for 'cheating' to be based on donations. If you go to our JustGiving page you will see how people have donated so far. The more funding each player gets the more they will be able to cheat their way to victory.
Along with this we will also be giving out prizes to people who donate and we'll be giving out keys for our content through the entire stream.
If you want to see any of this happen we'll begin streaming from 10am (UK) and we'll be likely to finish between 2pm/3pm (UK) and you can find us on our Twitch and YouTube channels.
We've got no announcements this week, sorry! We do have a lot to talk about in regards to Game Blast though which will run the weekend of the 23rd. We'll let you know how to get involved with this and we should have a prize bundle listing somewhere around that details all of the signed goodies that will be up for grabs.
For this week's stream we'll be focusing on the Firelands expansion in our A Beginner's Guide to: series and we'll be discussing what the features and perks are with this addition to the Talisman series.
Along with this we will also be giving out a signed collectible postcard to one member of the Twitch audience. We've given a few away previously for various milestones and this week marks 500 followers on our Twitch channel so we'll be giving away another postcard signed by the full Nomad team. If you want a chance to get this reward then all you have to do is rock up to our Twitch stream tomorrow and leave any form of comment in the chat.

Major Announcement #2, Harbinger Patch #1.5, Stream!

Cross-platform Purchasing
This was half announced last week. We made the announcement and then immediately found an internal issue and took the announcement down on Steam and then emailed the announcement to our mailing list and put it up on our website... It was proper smooth. Below is the content that was intended for the last update.
What is cross-platform purchasing?
Cross-platform purchasing is a tool that allows you to share your DLC purchases between PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Does that mean I get Talisman for free on other platforms?
Not quite. You need to have, at least, purchased the base game on other platforms to be able to share your purchases.
How do I transfer my purchases?
To access your DLC on other platforms first you must sign in to your primary platform and sign in to your Asmodee account. Once you have completed this you will be asked if you would like to link your purchases to your Asmodee account. If you accept this then any device you sign in to your Asmodee account (in Talisman) will let you use the linked DLC.
What if I do it wrong?
Frankly, it takes a level of effort to get the above wrong but I’m sure some people will give it a good go. If, for whatever reason, you receive any error messages in your attempts to link DLC then please go to Helpshift and hit CONTACT US.
Talisman has been out forever, why now?
As stated above, one of the major advantages of partnering up with Asmodee is that we can create new ways of rewarding customers. Before the partnership this feature was simply not possible for Nomad.
New Character - coming soon!
If you head to the My Collection page you will now see a new character, The Samurai, coming soon! This 2nd edition character has been revamped for the Digital Edition and will be available for purchase after the next update which should be with us in a few weeks time. She will be included in Season Pass holder's collection automatically.
Patch Notes
As we're making a half patch we'll forgo the usual HD tier formatting, below are the fixes included in this build.
Celestial only replenishes 1 Fate when deciding not to pray.
Clicking the name of a house rule category expands the section.
Vampiric Dragon space should take modifiers into account.
No Respawn should no longer result in never ending games.
Using Hopper after going through the Portal of Power no longer causes you to re-encounter the Portal.
DLC Characters should now be accessible for new purchases.

Today we will be continuing our 'A Beginner's Guide to' series with the Blood Moon expansion. This expansion introduces the 'Night and Day' mechanic which allows for a constant changing of difficulty in your quest to find a Talisman whilst also bringing in a new NPC, the Werewolf.
This expansion is available for trial this week with the Asmodee account system.
Talisman Community Stream, Thu, 5pm (UK)
Hey all,
So, we'll be streaming Harbinger again which you'll be able to find over on our Twitch channel or over on our YouTube channel.
We've got a stream of Fighting Fantasy Legends next week but for this week we'll be streaming another community game of Harbinger. Last week we were a bit more respectable and came a close second to the omnipotent force of Cheshirecat Girl. We'll beat her one day. we'll be the Alchemist and utterly spam the potion and scroll cards but a win's a win.
This week's time zones are actually correct. I mean, they were last week, but they are this week as well. We aim to be live at 5pm UK (6pm CET, 12pm EST, 9am PST), weather depending.
