We're currently testing everything actually works, I expect no bumps this time!
During this Friday testing I finally figured out a a couple important issues introduced in v02.1. Those will be fixed in the upcoming patch. The change log is actually quite extensive.
We'll patch the game again in a week because a few of the solo challenge missions aren't finalized yet, but should be by then. The other 7 are really cool though!
Patches 04 and 05 will come this semester, and will complete the Alpha cycle. Then we'll be in Beta for v06. After which we'll move out of Early Access!
But development won't stop there. We're pre-producing the 1-4 players Coop Campaign (which will be awesome), new maps and new characters for the Battle Arena, and new Challenges too! All that after release =)
PS: I do realize today is Tuesday...
Update Monday #008
Just one more week until v03. Here's a short list of the main features on the upcoming patch:
New character: Bonnie, a heavy hitter with knock back abilities.
New maps: A new forest/river map, and a new tundra/trains map. We tried to spin the concepts a bit, making some interest use of previous gameplay elements.
New Gameplay mechanic: Tanks have the ability to boost themselves. Can't
remember a time before this. Game is way better because of this feature =)
New GameMode: Challenges. 10 singleplayer short missions where you test yourself against a defined objective.
And there's a whole lot of smaller stuff too. The list of changes after v02 is pretty huge!
C'ya next week!
Monday Update #007
v03 will be delayed 1 week to properly polish and test the new content.
Expect it april 9th.
However, the new boost mechanic is really damn fun to play with.
Look at this short 15 seconds video:
https://youtu.be/vaOwANu5flo
Basically tanks now have a fuel bar (the white one), it starts full, and then fills back up again as you get hit. every 100 damage equals 20% of the Fuel Tank.
A full tank can boost you for like 2.5 seconds.
Also, Pollos can sometimes drop Fuel packs instead of HP Packs. They can also drop a new "Clear Cooldown" pack, that let's you use your special ability right away.
The whole Weapons and Repair packs is under close scrutiny, as I feel it could be implemented differently in order to make it more fun and interesting. Have any ideas?
Also, here's a 3FFA match on v03:

Monday Update #006
Hello there!
I've been busy with not just development, but also talking with Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo about bringing Tankrovia to their consoles. so far 1 of them said yes! Can't tell you which one just yet though.
Meanwhile; remember that new mechanic I told you about last week? well, after some thorough internal testing; it turns out it's garbage, so its going back to the back-burner while i figure out a better implementation.
However, I'm going to test another one of my "great ideas" and see how that feels like. This one is a little less drastic, but might actually make the game a whole lot more fun!
In any case, v03 is out in 2 weeks!!! isn't that exiting!
Monday Update #005
Only 3 more weeks before v03 is out!
I've decided to make a small adjustment to our planning in order to even out the workload for this and the upcoming patches:
v03 will still have 2 new maps, but they won't be for a new environment, they will instead be for the 2 that are already done. The remaining new environments will be out on v04, and v05 respectively. And the 12 maps plan remains the same =)
I've also decided against adding new weapons to the game, and will instead add a new gameplay mechanic. I feel there's no need to complicate the game further with more weapons, but I do think the game could benefit from more dynamism during matches. They will probably be done for v04 though, and I plan to expand it further on v05.
Also, the 10 single player missions are coming along nicely! I really hope people will like them =O
Monday Update #4
Small, but essential patch! (v02.1)
Menus can now be controlled with the keyboard's arrows, enter, and backspace.
In the selection menu, you can now enter the game with Left Mouse click. and move around with WASD.
In the selection menu, player slot is assigned in order of entrance, instead of Gamepad index. (meaning the keyboard can be any player, or none)
In-Game, you can control the Tank with WASD + Mouse. Common attack is Left Click, Character Attack is Right Click, and Special Attack is Q or E.
Game still requires at least 1 gamepad for PvP
General Gamepad Input response as been Improved like crazy!
Flamethrower has been buffed a whole lot.
We're still working on v03, due on april 2nd. With a single player gamemode, new character, a new weapon and new arenas!
With v03 the game will enter a new phase, where it now at last has the bare minimum to be considered a PC game, lol. It will also be when our visibility campaign starts!
Monday Update #3
Hey Good news, I'm gonna release a patch this week that will add Keyboard+Mouse support to the game =)
On the selection menu, players will be assigned slots as they come in, so whoever presses "A" first, gets to be player 1.
Alongside that must-have feature (i know), I improved a whole lot the way we handles gamepad deadzones. You'll be able to use 360° degrees of input, which feels amazing! (traditionally games have a small deadzone on the vertical and horizontal axis, which Tankrovia no longer have)
SinglePlayer Challenges are coming along nicely. v03 will have 10 of them! Not only are they super fun to play, but they're also designed to "teach" you how the game works. So it's a win-win.
There's also a secret pollo mission. It's 1-4 players. And is a secret. How on earth will you figure out how to access it?! I'm not telling.
UPDATE MONDAY #2
Today we're releasing v02.
You can read the last couple of announcements to read what's new!
We're now officially working on v03! dis the time for feedback!
So, we've intentionally not made a lot of noise with the game, we kinda want it to evolve slowly as we make it better with each update.
But if you've played it, please go to the steam community forums, and share your thoughts. I've started a thread there just for that =)
C'ya around!
v03 Single Player Challenges.
While we worked on v02, we've been doing pre-production on the "Solo challenges", which are a set of simple Single Player missions where you explore a single gameplay mechanic.
These missions will have an objective and will output a score and a time.
For us it's also a bit like practice for when we tackle the Coop mode.
We're very eager to show you the challenges as they come along in the upcoming weeks =)
And keep an eye on v02 coming to steam on Feb 19.
Gregory is a pretty nasty character. and the new weapon is a game changer.
Also, please give us any feedback or ideas you might have about the game. We're super open to consider those on the development of the game.
Cheers!
