Task Force 0.2.8.1499

This update adds mute functionality so players can block other players in the game. If you click the "mute" button on the "players" screen it will toggle whether a player is muted in your game. A "mute" command has also been added to the console to toggle muting.

The server create screen now has persistent saving. If you setup a map list or configure some of the server settings such as name, password, or friendly fire it will automatically save these settings if you leave the create screen and then come back.

We've been developing workshop support for dedicated servers as well. We have a few more things to test and should be including this in the next update.

It also adds support when creating a server for restricted game modes along with a default game mode for workshop items. If a workshop item has any restricted game mode tags, only those game modes will be available when adding the map to your map list. If the workshop item defines a default game mode it will automatically be checked when adding the map to your map list.

These tags can be added to your workshop items by using the --modes parameter with the upload command along with other parameters such as --name the set the formatted name of your workshop item or --default to signify that the first game mode listed in your custom game mode list should be automatically checked as the default game mode.

Here is an example console command for workshop mappers:

upload MyMapName C:\MyWorkshopFolder --name "My Map Name" --modes "demolition, respawn" --default

Task Force 0.2.7.1493

This update fixes a few more common crashes. The first was related to "death messages" showing on the HUD while a player was getting disconnected. The second was a crash when switching to your pistol. And finally there was a crash that would sometimes happen when throwing a grenade. These have all been addressed and show no longer crash your game anymore.

It also includes some administrative updates that allow us to better respond to player reports.

For maps this update includes missing respawn points on Khimik and the Training map. We have also updated the Training map with more detail and fixed some map issues from the previous update.

Please note that we have not included vote-to-kick in this update as previously mentioned. We are exploring some alternate options for managing servers that players have recommended. However the host can still kick any player by using the integrated "players" screen.

Task Force 0.2.6.1489

This update completes more features on the "players" screen in-game. The host can now click the "kick" button to instantly kick any player. Also we will be adding vote-to-kick in the next update for non-hosting players that click this button.

A new reporting tool has been added that allows you to report a player for cheating or teamkilling. This works for all players in the game and reports will be taken seriously. Please note that false reports will not be tolerated.

The "invert" setting has been fixed on mouse and keyboard. We also fixed a really annoying bug that caused grenades to make some sounds after exploding. This should no longer happen. Plus a few icons and resources that were missing for the HUD have been added back (such as the mic icon).

Finally the training map has been updated. Some buildings are more detailed and the middle building has been opened up completely. We're using the training map to test out and standardize our floor-to-ceiling heights, door heights, window heights, railing heights, ect. This was something we unfortunately did not take the time to organize during our initial concept developments of our maps. Now that we are rebuilding our maps with smaller layouts, standardizing these architectural components is our first priority.

Task Force 0.2.5.1488

This update addresses a few common crashes. There are two primary ones being reported and this should fix both. The first crash was related to flooding the mics, and the second crash was related to the end-of-round stats screen.

It also fixes some issues with spawn points on Khimik, Jazar, and the Training map. Finally some user-interface formatting was fixed on the server browser to prevent horizontal scrolling and text flooding.
