Development News: A New Overworld Incident and New Talent Stones
Hi Everyone, This week we worked on several fronts. One of them is introducing more accessibility features wanted for a long time. We added more keyboard shortcuts including numpad movement for all eight directions and “F” key for ranged attack.
Also there are already shortcut keys for the action bar but there was no indication of it on the shortcut list. We corrected that too.
We added several Talent Stones including but not limited to:
Bleeding Arrow - As the name suggests, this is a ranged attack that bleeds the enemy.
Toxic Arrow - This is a powerful talent stone that deals with multiple enemies. It poisons the enemy and adjacent enemies for 2-4 turns.
Circle of Poison - This is a utility talent stone for more defensive tactics. It conjures a circle of poison that has 30% chance to poison adjacent enemies that hit you.
We also added an overworld incident: An Old Man Needs Help… Hero encounters an old man who seems to have lost his dog and asks for help. It requires a wilderness survival skill check to find the dog. But hero may as well discover that this was a trap and the old man is not what he seems to be.
New Update Arrives! Meet the Kraken
Hi Everyone,
A new update arrives. This time we put the final boss and its 3 servants to the game. With this update, players can now beat the game! Thanks to everyone who helped us to achieve this milestone. Here are the update notes.
ADDITIONS
End game boss: Aquathra, the World Devourer. It is a kraken with eight tentacles. Tentacles have regeneration and poison ability. Kraken head has bleed ability.
New battlemap: A beach with a shipwreck.
New enemy: Siren. She is a ranger and has confuse ability.
New enemy: Aquatril Golem. It has regeneration ability.
New Enemy: Sea Serpent. It has poison and bleed ability.
New dungeon type: Coastal caves. There can be water tiles inside these caves. There are also ore rocks and other rock formations.
New NPC: Elder Alchemist. After completing the 5 tablet fragments, the hero can take a quest from any lord to meet the Elder Alchemist at the Alchemist's Tower. Note that the old save files with 5 fragments completed will also work. Elder Alchemist reads the tablet and explains the hero what to do next.
Journal has been updated to include the new bosses.
A new stat added to journal: Towns saved. Adventurer's guild gives discount according to the number of towns hero has saved. Towns can be saved from bandit invasions or pest infestations.
CHANGES AND BUGFIXES
Fixed a bug about defensive talent stones.
Fixed Dark Ray drops.
Bleed ability of the enemies can't be more than 25%
Rebalanced late game enemies. (they were too powerful)
Development News: The World Devourer is coming!
Hi Everyone, This week, we worked on the boss: the World Devourer. It is almost finished and the update is near.
The World Devourer is a kraken. It has a giant head with teeth like sharks and eight tentacles with regeneration ability. After hero fights the three servants, the Kraken shows up at coasts attacking ships. Elder Alchemist tells the hero that the kraken will attack the towns and urges him to the battle.
The battlemap is a beach with a shipwreck. We are making tests and balancing the battle.
We also put Aquatril Golem and Sea Serpent Champions as well, so now Terra Randoma’s main questline will be playable from start to finish.
May the tides bring you triumph!
A New Dungeon and Its Dwellers
Hi Everyone, This week we worked on the Servants of the World Devourer’s dungeons. These dungeons have cave like large halls. They appear mostly on coasts of the island.
Since they are very close to sea, they have rooms with water tiles. They also use different prop sets than regular dungeons. They have ore rocks but no weapon racks or bookcases.
Sirens and Coral Spiders are regular inhabitants of these dungeons. Siren’s ranged attack with confussion ability paired with Coral Spider's bleed, makes these dungeons quite dangerous. But there are lots of riches to be earned too.
We also made the Elder Alchemist’s secret lab where you can meet him after collecting 5 fragments of the ancient tablet. He will take the fragments from you and read the text on the tablet written in a forgotten language.
It appears that before facing the World Devourer, hero must confront its three servants. First one is the Dark Ray Champion.
Development News: Servants of the World Devourer
Hi Everyone,
This week we worked on the last boss “The World Devourer” and its three servants, Dark Ray, Aquatril Golem and the Sea Serpent. As mentioned last week, Dark Ray has slow ability. Aquatril Golem has regeneration ability due to the unknown qualities of the mysterious aquatril ore. And finally, Sea Serpant has poison and bleed at the same time. There is also a new enemy which will come at late game dungeons and sea tiles: The Siren. She will confuse the hero and add challange to the servant dungeons. 3d models are ready and they will be in the game once the questing is updated. We updated the journal too. Note that these are all works in progress.
After the hero collects all five fragments of the ancient tablet, he will be directed to the Alchemy Tower to meet the renown Elder Alchemist. Then the Alchemist will read the tablet and guide the hero to each servant’s dungeon. Hero must conquer these all to finally meet the World Devourer.

Development News: Meet the Dark Ray!
Hi everyone, Here is the latest news about the upcoming update.
We mentioned last week that we added Ore Veins which you can break and get some valuable ores. To utilize this object more, we are adding an overworld incident. You find a small cave entrance while you travel at the wilderness.
You can explore or ignore it. Inside there is a new type of battlemap with different rock formations, stalagmites and ore veins.
We are also planning to make a cavern like dungeon with these rock formations for some new quests.
Meanwhile, we are working on the Big Boss, the World Devourer. But decided first you should meet its servants. We will introduce some new enemies and their champions as its servants. One of them is “Dark Ray” which is a flying ray with the ability to slow the hero when it bites.
See you all next week!
Development News: Lava Rivers and Ores
Hi everybody,
Here is the news about the latest developments of Terra Randoma.
There are many map types with rivers and lakes for forest and grassland battles. But mountain areas were not varied as much. There was only one type of map with procedurally located rocks. So it needed some development.
We are now working on lava tiles so we can make lava rivers or lava lakes at the mountain areas. This will enrich the map variety. We want to use lava tiles at the Minotaur Dungeon too. Creatures with fire immunity or flying ability can pass through these tiles. The hero can also fly over them if he shapeshifts into a bat (keep in mind though if he turns back into human form above the lava tile, he will be no more.)
We are introducing a new type of chestlike object which is breakable: Ore Vein. There will be four types, copper, silver, iron, gold. Hero can hit and crush them like he chops trees. They drop metal ore, stone, or gems. Sometimes they turn into a stone golem instead of loot. They will appear mostly at the mountain areas but rarely in other places too.
Regular rocks will be breakable too to avoid them blocking the way through lava rivers. However, they won’t drop valuable items but they may turn into a stone golem as well.
With the addition of ores, mountains will be a new source of income for the brave heroes.

All the facilites of the town are closed. Hero may fight with the monsters to save the town. Obviously, they won't accept any coins to let you in, like bandits do.

Steel Mace
Volcanic Mace
Aquatril Mace
Chain Mace

Development News: Vermin Infestations at Towns
Hi everyone,
Here is the latest development news from the game.
We introduced the Bandit Invasion at the last update. That was the first of the town statuses which involve fighting. We continue to develop town battles more.
Towns now may be affected by Vermin Infestations. All the facilities of the town will be closed and the hero may fight the infestation to save the town and earn reputation. Infestations can be made by Giant Rats, Giant Cockroaches or Giant Centipedes.
We are adding more battlemaps for towns to increase variety combined with the procedural elements for each map.
A new overworld incident added also. Hero meets a princess who has been attacked by bandits and escaped. She needs to go to a town. Town gains 5 prosperity on her arrival. Bandits or Cultists may come after her. Or perhaps the town is infested by vermins and you have to fight first to ensure her safety.
As usual, we will add more talent stones. For this coming update, we are going to focus on stones which give damage to multiple enemies.
