Hallo, hallo! And I suppose it's "hallo"ed because it's almost Halloween! Oh ho ho ho!
...Yeah, I don't really celebrate it anymore. >_> A holiday of ghosts, zombies, and dancing skeletons really doesn't seem all that fun anymore when you had to put your dog down on the same day.
But, I don't wanna ruin your fun, so I'm gonna try and give some slightly themed videos to pretend that it's sort of in a similar vein as Halloween? I dunno, I tried. XD
~~Dem Videos You've All Been Dreading Waiting For~~
Lois Lane Marries So I'm starting off by recommending a playlist this time! It's a collection of videos going over all the times, in the history of the comic book industry, Lois Lane married someone other than Superman! From what I can tell, there was this comic book spin off series in the 1960s dedicated to Lois Lane, since comic books were so popular at the time. However, since the writers were all middle aged men, they didn't know how to write for an audience of teenaged girls, and came up with a whole bunch of stories where Lois Lane tries to marry someone. The result is...the above playlist. It is hilariously petty, silly, and sometimes just flat out bizarre. Watch if you just want to get a good laugh, or feel bad about a bad breakup! XD
In a similar vein of Lois Lane getting married to anyone and everyone who isn't Superman, here are Superman and Batman being terrible friends to each other and still just laughing it off. XD
As a bit of a palette cleanser, here is a compilation of Lois and Superman NOT being a bad couple, from My Adventures with Superman! :D I haven't seen the show, personally, but the entire internet agrees that these two have chemistry, and reading all the comments about guys finding tomboys attractive, gives gals like me hope. :3
And, to end it all off, here is Studio C! They have a wholebunch of videosthataretotallyworthbinging, but the above video was what started it all for me. I tend to like their stuff from around 2015 the most, but from what I've seen of their newer stuff, it ain't half bad either. :D Check it out if you're looking for a non-melodrama-related laugh!
~~This Month's Asian Drama Recommendation~~
This one you can actually find on Youtube this time, and it's called The Imperial Coroner! (Be sure to turn on Subtitles! ;D)
In Ye Olde Ancient China, there is a a cute little girl who applies to become the Imperial Coroner (Roll Credits~), and because she seems to have a real knack for it, she gets the job. The prince, however, suspects something sinister is afoot, because of a bunch of mysterious deaths that keep happening to political opponents and the like. So together, the Prince and the newly appointed Coroner begin to unravel this web of political intrigue through investigating all the various assassinations that they come across!
The most unrealistic thing about this show is how up-to-date the medical knowledge is. The main characters' detailed knowledge of human anatomy, fractures, and all sorts of things is kind of distracting when you think about the fact that they should be using Ye Olde Chinese Leeches or something to solve all their problems. But, otherwise, the show is quite enjoyable, if a little hard to follow in the beginning.
Also, there is no Love-Triangle Nonsense going on. Most of the characters are just focused on doing their jobs, and when romance comes up, there's a little bit of "will-they-won't-they" that shows up, but it's usually resolved pretty quickly. The two male characters are both pretty cool guys, and when a girl-boss-ish character shows up later, she's not annoying and is actually useful to the plot. :)
This one is more of a mystery series than the other Asian Dramas I've recommended, and it's kind of Halloweeny, what with the talk of dead people. So, if you're in the mood to binge a great show, then this is the one for you! :D
Virtual Hugs 6 with Ice Cream
Well hello again. I've collected enough random stuff to share with you guys that I feel like it's time to put together another one of these! After only a month! Nyeh heh heh heh! >D
Things have been super stressful and difficult for me recently, and while I don't want to dwell on it here, I thought maybe sharing some fun goodness may help brighten both of our days just a little bit. :)
Do you need a hug? I could have a hug. Hugsplosion for you! Or just a regular hug if you're feeling conventional. :P
Got some ice cream the other day. I discovered this place nearby that has an Indie Ice Cream Developer Vibe to it. I got their Passion Fruit Yogurt flavour and went back for some more. I checked the menu though, and it seemed like it was a summer season item, and the fall season flavours had just begun. They were nice about free samples though (seem to be a practice that happens whenever I walk in the door to be honest, lol), and I casually mentioned that I wanted the Passion Fruit Yogurt Flavour, that was unfortunately out of season now. Then the lady behind the counter said, "Oh! Actually, we still have some left! I can get you that if you like!" And so I did get it and I did like. :3 It was very nice.
I dunno. It's little moments like that that seems to prove that God really does love me, even if it doesn't feel like it all the time. :)
Mkay, let's get to the part you're REALLY here for or maybe just me.
So recently Charles Martinet stepped down, and like the rest of the internet, I AM SUPER SAD ABOUT THIS! *Flail flail flail.* But, as another comment somewhere pointed out, this really is a good thing. Martinet stepped down now because he got canceled, or found out he was replaced behind his back, but because he merrily wanted to ease into retirement. And as the Super Mario Ambassador, he can still go on tours to see and meet with fans, so even though it's sad, it's a win-win for everyone.
Back on topic, this song is something I stumbled across by accident, and almost made me tear up while hearing it. It's just so sweet and wholesome, and even put to one of the tunes of my childhood. What more can I ask from a tribute than that. :) I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
If any of you want progress on the sequel game, here is a screenshot of the recent Panda Guru. And here is an out of context screenshot for the lulz...
Here is some laughter to wipe away your tears, and that's an excellent compilation of the masterful show of...PIGS IN SPAAAACCCEEE...! More specifically, the Muppets. XD My sister and I had VHS Tapes of the Best of the Muppet Show when I was a kid, and since we lost cable around that time, I watched them a LOT. XD It's also why I got so into videogames. Looking around on Youtube, there are awholetonofclips from the Muppet Show uploaded in one form or another, and if you do a little digging, it shouldn't be hard to find entire episodes if you are interested. I've watched interviews with Jim Henson and even a couple documentaries, and I just find his whole legacy to be so inspiring. I may not agree with everything he's ever made, but he would have been a King of Youtube if he had been alive long enough to see it. :) Hats of to you, Mr. Henson.
(And don't watch the Pöpcørn Sketch without subtitles. You're welcome.)
Lastly, I'd like to include this song from the Dreamworks Prequel Sequel to Prince of Egypt, Joseph: King of Dreams. I remember rewatching this movie as an adult and thinking it was nothing special. But then I went through a really hard time in my life, and this movie was right there. It's not perfect (due to budget cuts and troubled production history), but this movie is great for if you feel like you need forgiveness or if you feel like you've been slighted by life. This song is probably the best part of the movie (spoilers, I guess), and is just a great song to listen to about emotional healing. And if you read the comments, like I have, then I'm not alone in how I've been touched by this song. :)
~Dem Asian Dramas~
So, um, this one is a bit more of a girly recommendation, but it's cute so I'm gonna mention it anyway. It's called A Little Thing Called First Love. It's about a dorky girl named Miao Miao (pronounced Meow Meow--I will never forget that name XD) who falls in love with the popular guy in her high school. The series documents her as she graduates high school and each of them pursuit their university degrees and just grow in life.
This series is the master of house music. The entire soundtrack is so mellow and chill that it feels like you could curl up in a warm blanket and fall asleep listening to it. This series also has some really positive messages in it that I was not expecting from a Chinese show. First of all, the main character is the oldest of two siblings, both girls (anyone remember the One-Child-Policy?). Also, in a part of the world that is obsessed with being underweight, one of the main character's best friends is one of the best representations of overweight characters I've ever seen in media. She's always, unashamedly, on a diet, and her attitude is "if I make [my target weight], that's good; and if I don't, I'm fine with that." That is a downright BEAUTIFUL message to send to young girls in this day and age, and I'm all for it! :D She's also the only girl in the show that doesn't have a love interest, so she kind of acts as the rational center for the other two girls, and helps keep them in check. Overall, a really positive character, and a great role model for young girls! :3
Also, I really like the male lead in this one. In most Asian Dramas, it's some variation of the Quirky Girl falls in love with the Stoic Man, and while there's a bit of that here, this guy is a lot softer (for lack of a better word) than the other Stoic Guys I've seen. Instead of being abrasive, stand-offish, and rude, he's genuinely kind, interested in the main character's life, and it totally makes sense why the main girl falls for him. The only thing that really puts him in the "Stoic Man" category is the fact that he's quiet, but apart from that, it's a refreshing change of pace for the genre!
And I suppose this is kind of a spoiler, but he should have proposed to her at the end. He didn't. BUT HE TOTALLY SHOULD HAVE...!
Anyway, that's all from me for now. Take care everyone! ^w^
Attack of the Virtual Hugs, Round 5!
Hello again! It's been a while! I've been meaning to do another one of these, but haven't gotten around to it! :D
Hi. How ya doin'? It's actually my birthday today (technically yesterday, since I only finished this after midnight kljdghlkdjfgldk). I had cake. It was very nice. Spent a good chunk of the evening watching Asian Drama Rom-Coms because of course I am. XD Should really pack, since I'm heading out on a week-long trip tomorrow. I'm sorry if I won't be able to respond to any of your comments before then. :3
Been working on my posture a bit. I'm a bit of a sloucher. Are you a sloucher? We can be slouchers together. I've noticed when lying on my stomach in bed, my lower back gets achy from watching too many Asian Drama Rom-Coms having my back lay in the same position for too long, so I'm trying to get a small pillow to help combat that. :) If you sleep on your stomach like I do, then maybe you should try it!
Alas, it would not be a Virtual Hug Post if I did not give out any Virtual Hugs! So here you go! Virtual hug-hug for you! And for you! And you! YOU ALL GET HUGS! NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE UNTIL THEY GET THEIR COMPLIMENTARY HUG! HUGSPOLSIONS FOR ALLLLLL!!! MWAHAHAHA!!! >D
*Ahem.* Mkay, we all know the part you've been waiting for. Teh videos...!
So, this is something I mentioned on my twitter a while ago, but I'll say it here... Sometimes, despite my best efforts to manipulate it, the Youtube Algorithm doesn't get me? As a result, I get really weird video suggestions from time to time. Apparently, since I watched the Super Mario Bros. Comics I mentioned a while back, Youtube thinks I'm obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog now too. Now, I'm not really a fan, nor have I really been enamored with the franchise. ...Yet despite myself, I find myself really looking forward to these cutesy, fancomic dubs every morning in my inbox. XD SO I THOUGHT I'D SHARE. (And I grabbed a ShadowxAmy video since they appear to be a more traditional couple than some of the others that are featured there.) I dunno. Just really fun and wholesome, and I don't see why not.
In case you haven't been on Twitter X recently (I don't blame you), then here are the latest batch of cupcakes...Churro Cupcakes! We had a Mexican-Themed Lunch at our church, so this was my contribution. :3
And now for a weird picture I drew... Inspired by this Jordan Peterson clip (and mellowfellow6816's comment, oh my goodness XD), here is the premise to a fake soap opera about the ultimate, female romantic sex symbol... The one and only: Vampire-Werewolf-Pirate-Millionare-Surgeon! ......This is why you should never leave me alone with stereotypical fantasy tropes.
Back to Youtube Silliness, here's a Youtuber I found some years ago who became famous by putting famous song lyrics into Google Translate several times and singing the mangled results. I particularly love her Disney Covers (Herc really needs to get out of bed), but I led with Despacito because it's a pretty good introduction to what her content is like. XD She recently moved on to focus on her serious career, but these videos will always have a place in my heart... <3
This video is more of a serious one, I had been meaning to making another Virtual Hug post, and this video kind of inspired me to sit down and do it. It's more of a serious topic, but for those of you who feel hopeless (I am certainly not exempt), I just want you to know that, um, you know... We're rooting for you. :3 Take care of yourself, okay?
Lastly here's, well, a video I've been listening to a lot in spite of myself. It's a deleted song from the animated Hunchback of Notre Dame movie, and while I don't really like it all that much, I still listen to it every once in a while for some hope in my day-to-day life. So, well, maybe you'll like it too. :) And I put it at the bottom to go hand-in-hand with the video above. It'll all work out alright. I promise.
~Asian Drama Corner~
So, um...I don't know if this is going to be recurring thing or not, but I might as well tell you about this one really fun Asian Drama called Take My Brother Away!
...Yes, not "Please Take My Brother Away" or even "Can Someone Take My Brother Away", just "Take My Brother Away". The Engrishy titles are just something you have to get used to when it comes to Asian Dramas. XD
Anyway, this one is also based off a webcomic series of the same name. Basically, it follows the day-to-day lives of two siblings in High School. They are constantly broke because their dad is an alcoholic, so they are always coming up with hair-brained schemes to try and get rich. Despite that depressing sounding premise, it's actually a really funny show. The main character (the sister), constantly thinks that her brother is a loser, and it does show that she has good reason to think that, but over time, she slowly starts to see just how much her brother takes care of her, and her perception of him starts to change.
The guy playing the brother is having the time of his life. My mom and I had seen him in another show, where he was pretty good there too, but he was born to play this role. I probably appreciate this Asian Drama a bit more than someone new to the genre because I recognize a lot of the tropes the show is making fun of. For example, I have watched shows where the main character is named "Miao Miao" (pronounced Meow Meow), and shows where there's a character with the last name of "Miao", so I laugh hysterically when this show decides to name one of the characters "Miao Miao Miao" just because they can!! It also helps having a vague knowledge of Detective Konan, and other such references to Asian Culture. :3
Also, that opening song is so weird, and has no right to be as catchy as it is. XD
Anyway, it's a really fun one that my mom and I had a blast with, so if you think you'd enjoy a light-hearted comedy with some occasional gut-punches, then this is the show for you! :D
Virtual Hugs Round 4! Huzzah!
Whelp, I just watched another another depressing video about how lonely men are, AND I FEEL DEPRESSED ABOUT IT. So, rather than sit on my buttocks and sulk in private, I'm going to try and do something about it, and give you all another round of 'dem virtal hugs. ^w^
HUGSPOLSIONS FOR ALLLLLL!!!
As for the sequel, whelp, I am making some very life altering decisions that will change the course of the universe. Such as...should Laz have an Abraham Lincoln Beard? :O
It was my cousin's birthday, yesterday. I tried to surprise him by visiting him at work with a cupcake, but it turns out he wasn't working that day of the week. So I consoled myself by going shopping nearby, and got him a watch, too. ...And the watch didn't fit. XD We all had a pretty good laugh about it, so I thought I'd share it with you guys, too.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JjAQKKOR7OM First video is another Chinchilla video. I have no idea why I keep binging Chinchilla videos, but now I want one.
Here is a cover of Kiss the Girl I can't get out of my head for whatever reason. Who can't love those costumes? ːsteamsunnyː
Here's a fun little link where a mom gives her young son some very sage, yet heartwarming advice. Maybe it'll help in your own life. :3
Here is a Japanese Youtuber who has a couple of pet otters (which I guess isn't illegal in Japan), and they go on wholesome day-to-day adventures. If you go back a couple years to when the female, Ui, was introduced, she used to be quite the feral child, but she's really mellowed out recently, and it's been heartwarming to see her transformation. :3
Speaking of Japan, here is just a video I stumbled across of Japanese people being wholesome and amazing AND I LOVE IT! >w<
Here's a fun rendition of Hall of the Mountain King that makes it feel like you're in the middle of a sneaky bank heist. ːsteamsunnyː
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/poPoWj74DR0 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ifW24LW8N4U https://www.youtube.com/shorts/y402q4xxixA https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8HC5wbtX07w And lastly, let's end this off with a couple of shorts. These are a strange number of Harry Potter related skit channels I found, my favourite of course being Silvia. These characters have become my headcanon and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. XD (P.S. The one creator, Mikaila, started a series comparing Twilight to Midnight Sun (same story but from the guy's POV) and it is also way too hilarious. XD Check it out if you are as entranced by these shenanigans as I am.)
Again, a lot of these videos can be found on my twitter, which I update more frequently...because I probably should. Anyway, if you're more interested, you can check semi-more-frequent updates there,
~Asian Drama Recommendation~
~Because apparently this is a thing now~
So, after posting about the last Asian Drama, I felt like the biggest idiot ever because there was another Asian Drama that my mom and I had stumbled across that tackles the sexism dynamic as well, that we actually liked a lot better.
I'll get to the chase. The show is called No Doubt in Us, and is based on a Chinese Webtoon. (I checked the webtoon out, and I genuinely like the show better, so I'm recommending that one.) It's a story that takes place in Ye Olde RWBY Knock-Off China, where the Emperor has blonde hair and blue eyes, and candy-coloured hair abounds. The Emperor in question is a very smart bookworm type of guy, who is generally admired by the members of his family and the women in his harem...with one exception. Said exception being his wife, the Empress, who is a Strong Independent Woman™ who don't need no man. The two don't see eye to eye until, one day, they fall into their pond by accident, and somehow switch bodies. So now they have to team up to figure out how to switch back, all while navigating the political court as well as the family drama that neither one of them is prepared for.
All joking aside, this is series is surprisingly well written. I joked that the Empress is a Strong Independent Woman™, and she is, but for being of that archetype, she's not obnoxious? She's from an influential military family and with two rough-and-tumble older brothers, so it makes sense that she'd be kind of a jock. The show also goes out of its way to show that she's the one of the only women who's like this, and the women of the royal court actually look down on her for being a "brute". And while she's not an airhead, it's also shown that she's not as smart as the other court members, which has led to her being taken advantage of and manipulated by people in the past. She's strong, but she's not invincible.
The bookworm Emperor is also well written as a character. I have less to say about him, but he's, by far, the smartest guy in the room at any given time, and can easily navigate through day-to-day situations through his wit and cunning alone. And what's a breath of fresh air is how the show deliberately goes out of its way to criticize both the Emperor AND the Empress. While I do feel like they criticize the Emperor slightly more than the Empress, it's made very clear that both of them need to change. The show really goes out of its way to show how the two characters compliment each other, and it's only through their teamwork that they're able to become the best versions of themselves. Which, you know, is a nuance lost in most North American storytelling these days. :P
I also appreciate how the body-swap thing happens between a husband and wife, so there's none of this "will-they-won't-they" nonsense that we have to sit through in most T.V. Shows. They're already a couple, so the main focus stays on the plot and only on the plot. It never feels like the audience's time is being wasted.
The episodes are ten minutes a pop, so they really go by quickly, but they never feel like they're rushed. There's a lot of wibbly-wobbly-timey-whimey logic that goes on when it comes to the magic system, but that's almost a given in any Historical Asian Drama you watch. The show also heavily relies on chibis, which I personally didn't mind, but my mom found them annoying. Overall, it's a well written show that deserves a lot more attention than its getting, and it does enough things right that I give it a double thumbs up. ːsteamthumbsupː ːsteamthumbsupː
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's all for now. I hope I have not spammed you guys too much with my derpy internet shenanigans, but if you're feeling down, I hope that they make you feel better. :) So, in the words of J.J. Heller, "I hope you have a great day, knowing that you are loved, you are not alone, and you are free indeed."
Virtual Hugs Return! Round 3~
Is it time for another round of virtual hugs? ːsteamhappyː Well, if it isn't, then too bad! Here we go with Round 3! >D
How you've been doin' recently? Have you been well? If you're a dude, have you shaved recently? Maybe you should...unless you're growin' out that wizard beard, then go all for it! :D
Maybe you should go out and get yourself a treat today. It doesn't have to be something big--a chocolate bar will do. But do something to reward yourself. You've been working hard, and you've earned it. :3
Either way, here's your virtual hug for today, and your reminder that you're pretty cool sometimes, you know? :) You're doin' good.
First up is this cute little video of a Chinchilla dancing. Why a Chinchilla? I don't know. But now I want one. XD
https://youtube.com/shorts/4UAI7SpY0WU?feature=share | https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dSdL3xr3fd0 (Steam hates shorts, apparently... >_>) Next up is this surrealist Youtube channel I've found where this girl has the NPC Idle Cycle down to a tee! It really just shows off the absurdity of videogames sometimes. XD
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YeJTwq35I1Q Lastly, is this fun little video of the three Links boogieing! Why not have a little fun today and party hard! ːsteamsunnyː
Is this just turning into a series of me sharing the videos I find on Youtube Shorts? Who knows! XD But they brightened up my day, so why not share them around? :3
And, I don't know if you guys are interested at all in my Asian Drama suggestions, but I know that there was another one I saw called the Romance of Tiger and Rose (turn on subtitles). One thing I admire about it is that it really tried to tackle sexism head on, for both genders. I don't want to give too much away, since I love the premise, but what I will tell you is that it centers around this fantasy-medieval-Chinese-land where there are two prominent cities... One ruled by Male Chauvinists and the other ruled by Female Misandrists. The main guy in the story is a prince from Male Chauvinist Town and is sent off to go marry a princess of Female Misandrist Town. Things go awry in multiple ways.
One thing I absolutely love about this series is how, through the absurdist situation presented in Female Misandrist Town, really just goes to show how petty sexism is in general. At the end of the day we're all human, and we should really just treat each other better regardless of differences. A lot of the characters are pretty well written, to the point where the story would still be good, even if the genders were reversed.
One problem I have with the show is that it feels rushed. Like, there's another large factor in the story I didn't go into, but that aspect of the script feels like it was at least partially based on a true story, which probably resulted in last minute rewrites. The story is still good, and I still highly recommend the show to people who are interested, but it just doesn't feel like it quite lives up to its full potential.
Anyway, your thoughts? Should I keep recommending random Asian Dramas we've watched, or should this just be a fun little place for cute animal videos and the like? Leave your comments down below to let me know what you guys prefer! ^w^
Virtual Hugs, Round 2! :D
So, I got a lot of positive feedback on my previous post on the subject, and, well, the world is just a very depressing place in general. So I figured...why not make this a series? ːsteamhappyː
...Maybe. I don't want these to wear out their welcome, so I'm thinking of limiting them to every once in a while, so they don't come across as too mechanized or low effort, I want these to be as genuine as possible. :3 And while hugs are still open to guys (since they apparently still really need them), it's okay if girls ask for hugs too. I want this to be a place where everyone can unwind a bit from the daily stresses of the internet, and just feel loved. <3 (Believe me, I need this as much as you do. XD)
That being said...*hug!* ^w^ And a HUGSPLOSION for those of you who want to be more hardcore! >D
Some fun links? Alrighty, then! >w<
So, for starters, we've got a pretty cute hamster video. I don't know why, but Youtube has recently been recommending hamster videos to me on my phone, and as someone who loved hamsters a lot as a kid, I thought whhhyyyyy not? :D
Next up, in celebration of the Mario Movie, and a big helping of nostalgia for me is a fandub of a comic I used to read back in school--Meet Zah Marios! X3 While the voices don't 100% match how I think these characters should sound, it's so nice to be able to show my mom comics I enjoyed before she knew the Mario Lore! >w<
Then there's this remarkable transformation video of this feral dog who becomes a very strong, affectionate, floofy boy by the end, and it's just so worth it to watch. >w< The Dodo is a great Youtube channel to watch, if you want to see wholesome animal videos like this. It's a pretty good mood picker-upper. :3
Then there's this little game I worked on just over a year ago that, well, as Echo607 described, is full of wholesome. So watch this one if you want to "uwu" for an hour. XD
And to finish it all off, here is a song from Mr. Rogers that you definitely needed to hear today. ;D (He was before my time, but the more I learn about this guy, the more I respect him. I'm tempted to just binge-watch his videos again, and if you're not too busy, then maybe you should give it a shot, too. ːsteamdanceː )
Hope that helps lift your spirits for some of you, if you're having a bad day, or just need a hug in general. A lot of these can be found on my twitter, if you're so inclined, but if you stay away from twitter (I don't blame you), then maybe I can save them for posts like this. :3
Take care~
[Secret Bonus Edgy Video/Series! :O] So, this one is kind of an outlier, since it's not really in the same happy-go-lucky category as the above videos. On the last post, we ended up having some really good discussions about men's rights, and how poorly men are being treated in modern day society. Well, a couple days ago, my mom and I stumbled up a new Asian Drama (quarantine habit) that actually appears to be tackling that very issue! :O My mom and I haven't finished it yet, so for all we know, it might end in a super lame way, but it brings up a fascinating discussion on Nature vs. Nurture, and how showing kindness in one person's life might make all the difference in the world...
The drama is called Till the End of the Moon, and the story is about this Immortal Lady (think Chinese-Angels with superpowers) who is sent back in time to keep a Super Villain from killing everyone she loves. (Similar to the plot of Back to the Future II but on a larger scale.) But when Ms. ImmortalLady goes back in time, back when the Super Villain is still just a lowly mortal, she also becomes mortal, loses all of her superpowers, and involuntarily wakes up in the body of his guy's abusive wife.
I don't want to give more away than that, since that's basically the plot of the first episode, but...like...if you want to see a story tackle the issue of men's rights in a thoughtful manner, then this one is the best I've seen, so far. Again, my mom and I are only a few episodes in, so if it gets bad later, then we have no idea, and I would like to apologize in advance. XD Either way, I appreciate this show wanting to tackle the issue head on, and if you're interested in the subject, then it just might be worth a watch. :)
Earlier, I watched a video talking about how men are starved for physical touch, which kind of surprised me. I always just kind of assumed that guys didn't like that sort of thing. And then I read the comments and they were so sad! They said things like "the first flowers a man gets are at his funeral" and how some of these guys went years and years without getting hugs, handshakes, or compliments! D;
So, um... This is a bit awkward to ask, but, uh... Do any of you guys want a hug? Like, obviously I can't come over to your house and give you a hug in person right now, but I'd be up for virtual hugs. :3 Maybe? Maybe I'm being too girly about this kind of thing, but...um...leave a comment if you want a virtual hug or a compliment and I'll try my best. <3
And here's a fun little song that all the cool kids are listening to (maybe). ːsteamsunnyː Say, what did you guys think of the Mario Movie? Pretty fun, right? :D Lastly, here are some less important cupcake pictures to end off this post! ːsteamdanceː
