Work on the (perhaps overly) ambitious version 1.2 patch is moving along nicely. It's taking longer than expected, but I think it'll be well worth the wait.
A quick refresher-
In Adventure Mode, you're tasked with piecing together the Blade of Legends so you can enter the castle and defeat the final boss. This blade can also be powered up by finding the seven Legendary Orbs hidden within the dungeons- but these are completely optional. Will you rush the castle as quickly as you can, or take your time finding the orbs and boosting your score as high as you can?
The actual player story finds you playtesting a new and incomplete nonlinear game mode. This pushes the envelope a bit more on the 4th wall breaking side; with some pretty big surprises. There are bound to be a few laughs, but you'll have to wait to play it yourself!
Here's a bit on how Adventure Mode is progressing;
All new primary graphics tilesets are finished.
New subsystems are complete and in place.
Of the 14 smaller dungeons, all but a few are fully finished.
2/3 larger dungeons are finished.
All key items are complete, and all but a couple of major events are done.
I want to thank you for your patience. Stay tuned for release info on the free content update!

Bug Attack! is finally out!
There'll be news on the big Spring update for The Bounty: Deluxe Edition soon, no worries.
For now though, I want to celebrate the launch of Bug Attack!, which you may have come across in your adventures in The Bounty.
The full game is now available on Steam for 89 cents (with launch discount), so if you're digging some retro arcade action, give it a shot! You can find it at http://store.steampowered.com/app/738720/Bug_Attack/.
Enjoy, and I'll be back with some cool news soon!

Development of Version 1.2 is underway!
It actually has been for a little while now, but things have been busy!
I'll show previews of the new dungeon skin as soon as possible. It's a TOTALLY unique look, and it's proving difficult, but it will be worth the wait. I hope to launch this update in April, but will keep you all posted! It will accompany a full soft relaunch for press visibility, so it has to be perfect; but I will continue to do my best to get it into your hands in a timely manner.
This update should come with Extra Episode 1- this episode is coming along well, and features some new puzzle and gameplay dynamics, so I hope you look forward to something a little different. The core experience will be unchanged, so if that's a worry, don't!
In other news, Bug Attack! will be receiving it's full Steam release very soon, possibly showing up in the store for wishlisting within the next few days! Have you found the playable Bug Attack! arcade cab in The Bounty yet? If you haven't, keep looking!
I hope you're all doing well, and wish you happy scorechasing and adventuring.

First week down!
A week in already? Man, time flies.
Anyway, here’s what’s happening.
*Competition
I’m looking into ways to actually facilitate this. Steam screenshots within the Community Forums? Facebook group? Independently through the Ludicrous Ones site? Give me your feedback!
The larger comps will most likely be done with a 3rd party, like a Twin Galaxies/SDA sort of angle.
I hope to have something to announce within the week, so stay tuned, and don’t be shy.
*Updates
The timetable for the first update is the second week of February. In addition to new content, I plan to... -Fix any bugs that may be found (none yet!)
-Tighten up performance where possible
-(hopefully) Implement Cloud Saves
If you have any feature requests, I’m all ears! I make no promises on what could be implemented, but I want to hear what you have to say.
The following update plan is posted here and there, but may as well post it here as well.
Happy adventuring, and good luck on those scores!
-Dave

Welcome to The Bounty: Deluxe!
Day One is upon us! It’s been a long journey to get here; and with the year of planned content updates to come, it’s far from over, but I’m so glad to be here. I’ll be present and posting as often as possible, so don’t be shy!
I’ll try and keep this short today, so here’s just a few quick things to note.
-In the Guides section, I’ve posted up a quick ReadMe for your convenience. It’s a quick skim that’s more condensed than the in-game book. I still recommend playing Tutorial Mode first, though!
-Score competitions with prizes will be starting soon. I’m trying to sort out all the details, so practice up in the meantime. It will probably require video footage, but perhaps Steam screenshots will work? I’m up for discussing this with the community!
-TO CONTENT CREATORS; you have my express permission to stream or create video content from The Bounty: Deluxe. Just wanted to put that out there!
