The Capture Worlds It's now Free!



Hello everyone, it's been a while. With this announcement I'm letting everyone know that I will be changing The Capture Worlds to be free for everyone.

It has been in a "death" state for a while because I didn't do a good job on the marketing and because of that I couldn't stay like that and had to look for a job so I could support my family.

So i made the decision to make it free now that I'm not working on it , but who know maybe i will come back to work on it since i learned a lot ever since and maybe add some adds to it where you could get items or what not something like the free games on mobile or make it an open source who know..

Also for those that don't know the game has support for modding and i have a pokemon’s mod on it but never released it because of legal staff and what not but yeah it’s out there hehe.

V 0.36 Patch notes

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great!
Here are the patch notes for the update V 0.36 !

On this update there are a few visual and functional changes and implementation , the biggest change was made to the code side.

Continues Farming:
Now farming is done until cancel by moving or when finish looting ,showing the progress in a loading bar.

Container Chest :
The texture of the container chest was change to display in a better way what is the front side and to make it fit into the environment style better.

Events Log Ui :
Added a new ui(text window) that will display events .For now the damage received by the Player,Player's Monsters and Wilds Monsters , also the damage received from hunger and other survival stats and it displays the shopping events when you buy and sell how much you spend or get while using the store. This feature will be improved in future patches more.

Visual feedback :
Added effect for when you can select your first monster in the table so you know you have to interact with them.


First Monster is 100% now! :
Now when you catch your first wild monster it will have a 100% capture rate, this works only in the first tower floor and when you haven't capture any wild monster.
Fixed Interaction Range:
Some times when you interacted with a big object from the very edge it would cancel the interaction , but not anymore!.

I added a new testing branch that contains the previews update(v0.35) you can always switch back to that version if you want/need this branch will be update in the future to keep the previews patch in the future.

V 0.35 Patch notes

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.35

The main feature of this patch is:
The new Emoticons


For now this can be accessed by pressing the "R2" button that by default it’s mapped to the “page down” key while you are controlling your character.


For now there are some simple emoticons like waving,crying,lay down , some dances and others.



This new system is setup so it can be easily expanded so it may be integrated to the modding support.

Other changes to mention:

Added an innkeeper girl so you can get free food and water in the town.

You can find here in the guild’s building

The HUD for the Food and Water levels was changes they
will blink with a red color when they are under 20%

Animation and effect for when recalling your monster was added


Running effect was added


Portable Bed was added ,this can be used to sleep while in the tower

You can use it to restore hp or skip the night, you can get them from the
General shop for $100 (they will not be saved so next time you visit the tower it will be gone)


Drinking and Eating now have animations
The Items that drop now they will levitate after a while and won’t keep rolling.
Added a Sleeping Screen
The Maps in the tower now load at least once each before they loop back to the start gain
So you won't be seen the same map that often.
Skills of type ray/beam can be cancelled by pressing the spacebar
Speed up the animations for the pickup ,axe and pickaxe.
Fixed that the pickup animation wasn’t been played.
Fixed that you weren’t able to remove beds.
Fixed that when you defeated a monster while it was using a ray skill
the ray effect would stay sometimes.
Added the icon of the target of the quest in the quests board.
The image that is displayed when dragging now it doesn’t have a background
Removed the Limitation in the Name creation for the characters.
When added the Quest tracking text to the Hide HUD.
Fixed a bug where you couldn’t use some items from the inventory but only in the shortcuts.
Added an arrow effect to the starting tutorial since there was a chance some people wouldn't see that they had to pick up the capture card.
For now the player can’t get affected by status effect by being attacked by the wild monsters.

Over all clean up to the inventory code ,this will allow me to work on it more easily ,I will continue to do the same in other parts of the game.

What’s next?
Well i have decided to add a side quest where you have to collect map pieces by defeating the “Chronos members” and when you complete the map you will be able to go to there base and defeat there Boss. Also i will cut on the history mode to be just a middle act and a final act for now , this could change later but for now that’s the goal to get The Capture Worlds out of the early access.
Then after i finish the “Chronos Base” and the middle and final act i will change the focus to polish the gameplay and features of the game and work more in the art section to add better monsters and more npcs.

V 0.34 is Live!


V0.34 is now the default version of the game but you can roll back if you want i added a v0.33 branch that you can opt-in .
Let me know if anything doesn't work and i will push a hot fix for it, i'm working on the v0.35 at the moment.

V 0.34 Patch notes ( Town Invasion! )

Hello everyone,its been a while i hope you are doing great!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.34

The main feature of this patch is:
The Town Invasions
After act 3 when you meet the "Chronos Team" they will start to invade the town every Saturday at 12 pm (in-game time)

They will increase by one in every you defeat an invasion until they are a total of 12.

The first invasion will be only 1 enemy and after that you can fight them all to get the reward or you can skip the invasion by talking with this guy:

If you decide to defeat them all after the fight you will get a chest that contains items,the amount of items will depend on how many enemies you defeat. But make sure to loot it because it will despawn if you exit the town or the game.


Improvements :
Added buttons for Store all and Store Similar to the storage , this will make things easier to manage your items.

Town got an update on the graphics part added some details and improve some performance.

The water was changed and later i will have the water of the other worlds change too even the ones from the mods :

The Vs npc was change to have no loading time and when you finish the battle you will be send back to the original world you started the battle but now you can't save while in a battle vs an npc .Added a ui that displays the opponent's monster team there level and if they are OK they will be gray out.
The opponent's monsters will start to move around until you release your monster .
The map also got some graphical improvements

The Vs Boss map also got some graphical improvements .


Items like food and water will not close the item selection ring after using it this will be added to other item as needed.

Added a key to toggle all the ui(user interface) while controlling your character for now it is set to "insert" but you can change this in the launcher.

Important Note:
This patch will be on a testing branch for a week , i will be doing more play testing on it and when i'm sure there are no game braking bugs i will move it to be the main build. You can always opt-in to try this version in the steam settings.So this patch will be on the live version next week(June 8 2019).

I apologies for the long absence ,but i'm back to it and with more knowledge than before.It will help make the game better for sure!.

Treasure Hunting Update
Treasure Chests were added

There are 3 levels Iron,Silver and Gold
They are drop like this:

  • Iron (Any)
  • Silver (Level 5+)
  • Gold (Level 15+)


After digging a treasure you will get a treasure chest item that you can use in the town.


To Open them you will need a key and you can craft them by learning the skill



The higher the level the better the drops

V 0.32 Patch notes

Good day everyone! , hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.32

New Treasure Hunting System

You can start hunting for treasures by getting the skill ,for level on this skill you will be able to find treasures for the next 10 levels so if you have the skill level 5 you will be able to find treasures from level 1 up to level 50.

To Start off you will need to buy a shovel that you can buy from the in the carpenter shop.


When you have the skill and the shovel go to the tower and use your shovel

Once you use the shovel an arrow will spawn showing you the direction were the treasure is , the arrow will be of a different color based on the distance from where you are and where the treasure is and they are like this:
Red: Far

Yellow: Half way

Green: Near

Once you get to where the treasure is some items will drop and money.
the money depends on what floor you are it's like this: Tower Level * (Random between 90 to 120).
So the higher you are the better treasure you will get.
(In the future this maybe change to drop treasure chest that need some key to open it and drop different items and maybe unique ones)


The ui and code for the game settings got a rework ,and now everything is display at once and their size it's now based on the monitor size and not on a pixels.

V 0.31 Patch notes

Here are the patch notes for the update V0.31

The new Stone Plant pot was added

You can get it from the player skills at level 5


You can buy Tree seeds from the farming girl

In the new Stone Plan pot you can pant berries or trees by using seeds while facing them

Note that you cant plant Tree seeds on the normal wood flower pot.
The Tree will drop a total of 21 wood pieces and 1 or 2 Tree seeds


Fixed some materials that had there shader missing and it result in them been display with just pink color.

V 0.30 Patch notes

Good day everyone! , hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.30


  • Team Cronos members will start to spawn after you finish the act 3 that it's activated after you get to a lv 7+ in the tower.
    They will be display on the map with a red dot when they are on the level ,there is a 50% for the to spawn on every level after level 5

    They will run to you and the battle will start automatically when they are in rage

    Once on the battle scene you just have to defeat it

  • The Shops now will welcome you when you talk to them then you will need to select "Buy" to open the shop or after 5 seconds it will open on its own and the image that it's display is using the same system real time image that the enemies on the act 3 are using

  • There was a bug on the act 3 that resulted on some null errors and you would have to close the game to get back to the game
  • There was a bug if you had the camera with auto rotation you wouldnt be able to click on the "OK" to go back to the town on the Act3 scene
  • Fixed bug where if you quit while on a dual you would be re spawned out side of the map and keep falling until you save and reload the save

V 0.29 Patch notes

Good day everyone! , hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.29



  • New spawning effect for the player
  • New Act 3 that can be trigger after you finish act 2 and at least get to the tower level 7
  • New 3d camera system for when talking to npcs
    For now it is just been used in the new act 3
  • Introduction on the enemy group for now called "Team Cronos"
    They will start to spawn on the tower levels in the future updates forcing a battler with the player.
    (There 3d Model is temporary and will be replace with some new model in the future when i get back to focus on the graphics)
  • First version for system to make cinematic scenes easier for me to make so i can focus on the history mode a bit more.
  • Some small bugs fixed and code optimization.
