Hello pilots,

The latest version of the DRL Simulator has just been released. This release adds:

• Physics have received improvements. Rates are being refined to more closely match BetaFlight, we ask that players check rc/expo rates and tune to preference. This applies to all drones.

• Mouse support. This highly requested feature finally returns to the sim.

• Soft reset is now available in training missions. And the option to give direct feedback on missions has been added as well.

PLEASE NOTE: THE DEV TEAM HAS ISOLATED THE RACER3 FROM ALL PHYSICS CHANGES TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE 2018 SWATCH DRL TRYOUTS.

Physics

  • Rates are being refined to more closely match BetaFlight, pilots should check rc/expo rates and tune to preference. This applies to all drones.
  • Various general improvements have been made to physics.

UI

  • Mouse functionality has been added, players can navigate the sim with their mouse.
  • A bug that caused the page numbers and navigation arrows for the Tryouts Leaderboard to be unavailable has been resolved.
  • Corrected an issue where the sim would continue to run when Alt-Tab'd.
  • Stars will now only appear at the end of Training missions when a star has been earned, as intended.

Multiplayer

  • Drone to drone collisions have been disabled in Multiplayer Mode.
  • Various multiplayer bugs have been solved, included random framerate drops, and an audio bug that caused certain audio to continue to run after the end of a match.

Missions

  • The ability to soft reset during training missions has been added.
  • Feedback UI has been added for players to share their opinions with the team.
  • Improvements based on community and Dev Team feedback have been applied.

The 2018 Swatch DRL Tryouts are now LIVE!



Hello pilots,

Starting today, players from around the world can compete against one another in the 2018 Swatch DRL Tryouts. A global contest to determine who among the DRL Simulator’s pilots is good enough to join the pros for the 2018 DRL Allianz World Championships season. At the end of online tryouts, the 24 fastest pilots will earn a spot to compete in the live eSports tournament taking place in February 2018. The winner of this competition, will be crowned the Official Swatch Pilot for the 2018 DRL season, a contract worth $75,000 dollars!

    2018 Swatch DRL Tryouts

    • Custom Podiums and Racer 3 skins have been added


    Campaign mode

    • Per-Race Time breakdown can now be seen

DRL Simulator has been updated to ver 2.0.b262

The latest version of the DRL Simulator has just been released. This is a hotfix release that addresses a bug that players encountered in training missions in Quests 1 and 2. Because it wouldn't allow the sim to register player interaction with specific flags, the bug would make it impossible to complete certain missions. This is now fixed.

The dev team has included a fix to physics in the questlines, as well as an audio fix. Details about these fixes, can be found in the release notes below.

DRL High Voltage is now the DRL Simulator!



Hello Pilots,

Now that DRL High Voltage's Early Access has come to a close, the sim enters full release as: the DRL Simulator. Starting today the DRL Simulator will be available for purchase from the Steam store for $19.99. Early Access players can purchase at the discounted price of $14.99 until December 1, 2017 from within the game. No new download will be necessary, just follow the onscreen prompts from the Purchase menu.

The DRL Simulator offers players the best full featured FPV racing simulation on the market. Already a pilot? Head over to multiplayer and compete against the world's best players. Just want to practice? Sharpen your skills in freestyle. Interested to see how you'd do on a real DRL race track? Test your mettle on maps modeled on real world courses featured in the 2016 and 2017 seasons of the Drone Racing League. Never flown a drone in your life, but always wanted to learn? Try the ever expanding training quests, packed with missions designed to take any player from rookie to rockstar.

Scheduled maintenance starting 10/31

The DRL High Voltage will be undergoing a scheduled maintenance starting today 10/31, and will continue to be under maintenance until 11/2. During this time, players may experience some issues when trying to connect to the game, or in other in-game situations. This may happen intermittently throughout maintenance.

BIG NEWS about the upcoming launch of DRL High Voltage

On November 1, we'll be launching DRL High Voltage on Steam, officially concluding Early Access. We want to thank the community for helping us through beta and launch, your feedback has been invaluable. At launch DRL High Voltage will feature new and improved Multiplayer, Drone Selection (Racer 3, Mifune, and more!), and many more training Missions. Also stay tuned for Garage Mode (coming this December).

The latest version of DRL High Voltage has just been released. This update applies a hotfix to the game's physics that resolves an issue with drones flying at unrealistic speeds.

Leaderboards will also be reset later because of the issues caused by these unrealistic speeds.

Hello Pilots,

The latest version of DRL High Voltage has just been released. This release fulfills one of our most requested features: Multiplayer.

Multiplayer allows pilots to race other pilots, head to head, in real time. If you get a chance to try it out, let us know what you think. This update also brings with it a scoring system which will give players feedback when completing missions in quest lines. You'll now be able to see how well you stack up against other players.

The team has also added 4 new drones to Freestyle and Single Player races. You'll now be able to freestyle or race (in single player) with the Racer2, Racer3, Hedwig, Mifune, and Tweaker!

Hello Pilots,

The latest version of DRL High Voltage has just been released. This release brings two big features to the game.

The Opponents System will let pilots race the ghosts of the Top 5 pilots, or the 5 pilots closest to them on the leaderboards, or a mix of the two. Pilots will also be able take on the challenge of racing the ghost of the overall number one pilot on the leaderboards. And be able to race their own leaderboard ghosts as well.

Expo tuning has been high on the list of requests from a lot of pilots and is included in this update. A lot of you will have opinions on this feature, keep in mind that the game is still in early release, so please be sure to share your feedback with the team in the discussion section. As always: feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

New training missions have also been added, including 5 new Pro Mode missions. This, as well as other updates are listed in the release notes below.
