Hotfix v3.6.4.1

Hello,


We have upgraded the Demo to v3.6.4.1 with hotfixes.

A number of bugs have been fixed, and the biggest change applies to the in-game tutorial.

We have decided that the original tutorial interrupted the gameplay by forcing the player to read it, so now the tutorial guides have been changed to enable the player to read them interactively.


The following bugs have now been fixed:

• The bug that interrupted the synchronization of the guest's Sniffers while the room master was watching any tutorial page.

• The bug that failed to return to the main page after playing the game and having returned to the main page then displaying the survival notes.

• The bug where the friendly fire failed to work correctly.

• The bug where the barricade installed at the start area still remained, even after the room master removed it.

• The bug that failed to save the position data after playing as a guest.

The Highrise Demo v3.6.4.0 Update

Hello,

We're pleased to present the 3.6.4.0 update.

In this update we tried to lower the difficulty for players who enters the world of the Highrise for the first time.

When facing the Sniffer abruptly or failing to escape the encounter due to the fast detection speed, we concluded that the player faced too many obstacles in the early stage of the game. Therefore, by tweaking Sniffer's detection mechanisms, we tried to give the player more options to handle the odds.


[Sniffer Mechanisms]

• Sniffer no longer detects the player over the wall after following strong stimuli.
• Now there is a cool time when the Sniffer is searching the area that the player has run into.
• The speed of Sniffer's detection by distance is tweaked.


[Balance Modifications]

• The fall damage is reduced from 40 per one story to 30 per one story.
• The respawn rate of Sniffer has increased from 7 days to 14 days.
• The activation rate for the broken plates has been reduced from 30 percent to 20 percent.
• Sniffer's damage to the barricade is reduced from 25 per attack to 10 per attack.


[Miscellaneous]

• Stimulus UI now shows the distance to the spot.
• Now every status of a teammate is shown in the multiplayer mode.
• The delay after using stamina has been lengthened.
• The first door in the opening area is now installed with a wooden barricade.


[Bug fixes]

• The bug that made other players topple installments is fixed.
• The bug that took out items stored inside the storage from a corpse in the inventory is fixed.
• The bug that failed to deliver damage to other players by any gun, even when PvP was available, is fixed.
• The bug that failed to save the data properly after playing as a guest in the multiplayer mode is fixed.
• The bug that allowed non-stop punching when equipping certain items is fixed.
• The bug that prevented respawning of breakables is fixed.


Hotfix v3.6.3.3

[Miscellaneous]

• An Wooden Barricade can be picked up at the beginning area of Sky Lounge.

• Wooden Barricade can now be uninstalled and retrieved.

• Metal Barricade can now be crafted which, unlike Wooden Barricade, cannot be uninstalled.

• "Friendly Fire" Option for Multiplayer appears available but it is yet under development.


[Balance]

• Durabilities for Fire Axe and Crow Bar are increased from 50 to 75.

• Natural Reduction rates for Stamina and Hydration are reduced from 70 per day to 50 per day.

• Stamina consumption for Sprint is decreased from 8 per second to 7 per second.

• Activation rate for Broken Plates is reduced from 40% to 30%.


[Bug fixes]

• Collision mechanism of monsters is fixed so that the player is no more bounced out of walls by colliding with monsters.

• The bug which sometimes made Sniffers go around the same position when called by other Sniffer is fixed.

[Miscellaneous]

• "Invert Mouse Y Axis" is added to Control Options.

• "Bloom" is added to Graphics Options.

• "Ambient Occlusion" is added to Graphics Options.

• "Workbench" craft now appears on the first page of crafting.

• The volume of the noise from Towerlights is reduced.

• Now, the player who has no item in death no more drops Corpse storage.


[Balance]

• The stamina usage of Sprint is reduced from 9.6 to 8.

• The range of Sniffer's nasal detection is reduced from 20m to 15m.

• The stamina restoration is increased from 20 to 30.

• The delay for stamina restoration is reduced from 1 second to 0.3 seconds.

• Stamina restoration when exhausted is increased from 15 to 30.

• Not only Milk but also other foods provide little Hydration.

• Spawn amount of Glass Bottle is increased.

• In case Health, Stamina, Flashlight Battery and Hydration is below 30 in death, they are adjusted to 30 when respawning.

• Low-level stimulus no more occurs in Safe Zones(Insides of Vent, Window Cleaning Lift etc).


[Bug fixes]

• The bug which set Stamina to 100%(not 70%) of Single Player Mode after a death in Multiplayer Mode is fixed.

• The bug which didn't display the health of other player in Multiplayer Mode is fixed.

• The bug which allowed items to be stored in Corpse is fixed.

[Miscellaneous]

Squeaking Doors, adjusted counts of Broken Plates and Cracked Walls are now available in the worlds that were created before the version of 3.6.3.0. (There will be a reset for these environmental features in the worlds created in the version 3.6.3.0. We promise to prevent any reset after this update ːsteamsadː. )

• The info of Oil now also shows the stacked weight.

Server Region and Code of Room are now properly shown on the Multiplayer info panel.

• When writing on Whiteboard, a few more special characters are banned.

• A few objects that obstructed the paths in front of some tents in the area of Observatory are now removed.


[Bug Fixes]

• The bug which miscalculated the weight of Storage by miscounting the stack of Oil is fixed.

• The bug where a collider remained after a death of Sniffer is fixed.

• The modeling of Cooked Dead Rat is no more affected by the lights outside the inventory.

• The bug which consumed 2 of any consumable items when equipped on the hand and used is fixed.

The Highrise Demo v3.6.3 Update (Multiplayer Mode Added)

We're pleased to present the v3.6.3 update. The major points of this update are as follows:


• Multiplayer mode has been added.

• New environmental features have been added. To see the new environmental features, you must create a new character (don’t worry—an update is coming in the near future to allow past characters to receive the same updates).

• Minigames have been added for certain actions.


[Multiplayer]

• For the balance, a maximum of three players can occupy one room.

• You can create or join a room with your past character(s). When joining a room, you’ll enter with the inventory of your chosen character.

• In Multiplayer Mode, the four stats—Health, Stamina, Food poisoning and Hydration—and the natural reduction rates for Stamina and Hydration are adjusted to 70% of the stats and rates in Single Player Mode.

• Whiteboard installation is now included on the crafting list. You can write anything and hold it or install it on a wall.


[Environmental Features]

• Breakable walls now display cracked decals when health falls below half of the maximum amount.

• Upon creation of a new world, doors that make squeaking noises when opened now register randomly and have distinguishing decals underneath.

• Broken plates are distributed more randomly and their registration info is safely and normally reloaded (which fixes a bug in the previous version).

• In certain areas, objects and decals have been added for the narrative.

• Certain areas contain new breakables or the positions of past breakables have been adjusted.


[Minigame]

• A new minigame for opening the door slowly has been added (losing the minigame causes the door to open normally. A squeaky door will make a loud noise and a create a big stimulus).

• A pump minigame for collecting water and fuel oil has been added (losing the minigame results in major food poisoning damage).


[Balance Modifications]

• The damage of Sniffer has increased from 10 to 12.


[Miscellaneous]

• The bug which periodically multiplied Sniffer's attack damage is now fixed.

• Mattress now has durability which decreases whenever a player jumps or lands on it.

• The stimulus range when a player is activating the generator has increased from 40m to 60m.

• Stimulus detection for the glass and fireworks has improved (when they were hit on the wall in the previous version, detection didn't work properly. Also, stimulus range has increased from 30m to 40m).

• "Storage" now spawns items stored inside when destroyed.

• Player name is now displayed properly on the corpse info indicator.

• Left and right mouse button functions when equipping "Throw" or "Consumable" items are now uniform.

• The English name for the oil item has changed to fuel oil.

• Inventory items now feature outlined highlights.


[Bug Fixes]

• "Metal barricade" has been removed from the craft list.

• The bug which allowed items to be dragged—or activated inventory navigation while being used inside the inventory—is fixed.

• The bug which prevented a player from spawning properly after falling out of the building has been fixed.

"The Falling Bug" has been fixed, today!

The falling bug that had happened to users from certain countries has been finally fixed, today.(20. 11. 2022)

The bug was related to the different "Culture Settings" of the users' computers, and we made them uniform.

>The bug where newly added "Dirt mounds" in the "VIP Residence" were not properly removed when taken is fixed.

Do you experience your player falling down at the start of the game?

Since we released our demo, we've been given lots of positive and eager feedback, and we're so glad to keep developing our game with such encouragement ːsteamhappyː .

But some users reported a bug where the player keeps falling at the start of the game and can't play it normally.

This is a strange bug that seems to happen to only a portion of the users.

More importantly, we, developers, are failing to reproduce it on our own computers.
