Last Day for The Steam Award Nominations + Raindance Immersive Results

Happy Monday, all! We hope those in the U.S. had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and everyone else had an equally great weekend!

Our big news from the last few days is that The Last Clockwinder earned an honorable mention at the Raindance Immersive Awards, where we were nominated in the Best Immersive Game category.

This is the first time The Last Clockwinder has been recognized by an awards organization and our whole team is incredibly grateful. All of the nominees did an incredible job of showcasing the future of immersive gameplay.

On a similar note, there's only one day left to help The Last Clockwinder secure a nomination for the VR Game of the Year category of the Steam Awards. You can vote here.

Smooth Locomotion!

Hi everyone!

We’re happy to announce that we’ve added the option for smooth locomotion to The Last Clockwinder! This has been a top priority since launch, and we’re excited to make it available to everyone in the latest update.

With smooth locomotion, you’ll be able to directly control your movements in game, giving you more freedom to play and explore.

You can find the option to switch between teleportation and smooth locomotion in the settings panel, along with controls for adjusting move and turn speed.

We hope you enjoy zooming around, and please reach out to us if you encounter any issues!

VR Fest Developer Stream

For Steam VR Fest, we've put together a stream of some behind-the-scenes developer commentary! Watch Matt, John, and Anita talk about the process of creating The Last Clockwinder while we watch gameplay from 99TH VR.

Minor Bug Fix Patch

- A bug has been fixed that, on rare occasions, caused players to load into the Main Menu far above the floor and with unresponsive hands.
- Switches on audio devices are no longer able to wander away from their intended location.
- The achievement in the Library room is now a bit more achievable.

Minor Device Support Patch

- Some VR devices that aren't officially supported are now allowed to start the game, with a cautionary note.
- Startup logos can be skipped using the trigger (instead of the 'A' button).

Post-Launch Patch

  • Fixes a token in the Fuel Generator room that didn't reappear after you leave the room and come back
  • Fixes a puzzle that you could solve with two hands when you are supposed to need three
  • Fixes a funnel that would sometimes get Luftapples jammed
  • Fixes the case of the missing gloves in the Study room
  • Fixes a case where the radio would keep ringing even when you can't get to it
  • Fixes the final credits text being in an unexpected position
  • Fixes a collector that could collect the wrong types of things
  • Adds a startup check and some advice for when the game starts in an unsupported configuration

Virtual Desktop Support

Hey everyone,

I'm happy to announce that we've enabled full support for Virtual Desktop and you can now play The Last Clockwinder on your Oculus Quest or Quest 2 using Virtual Desktop streaming. Because of this, we're upgrading our support tier for Virtual Desktop to "Supported (Best Effort)"

What does that mean?

Essentially, Virtual Desktop is a 3rd party tool. It could be changed at any time that breaks support for our game, so we can't make any promises. We will make our best effort to keep the platform supported, though, and please let us know if it's not working!

Hey everyone,

It’s time, The Last Clockwinder is out now and we’re so excited for you all to journey to the clocktower.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of our partners (hello Cyan Ventures and Robot Teddy) and of course the incredible support from our playtesters and community. Thank you, all of you.

We’ll be here on the Steam forums (and Discord) if you need us.

We can’t wait to hear what you think!
