Patch Update: Unlisted Bug fixes!

We're pleased to share some updates that weren't covered in our last batch of patch notes, for bugs that were addressed in our last patch but were not noted! Below is the full list of changes included with our most recently released patch.

New Features

  • The Shopkeeper's Goodbye - a new, final scene with the shopkeeper, for players who have found and returned all of his missing keys.
  • Fast Travel - in the late game, to assist with accessing DLC content and finishing any lore puzzles.
  • A new music track for Heartflow Altar - Just a subtle one, because it was needed.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a typo.
  • Fixed an issue where killing "NPC Hero" type enemies (anti-heroes, aggroed friendly NPCS) while they were frozen didn't quite work properly.
  • Altered the Spear's light one handed attack animation to prevent it from missing occasionally.
  • Improved the code that governs aiming up/down, while targeting enemies on a ramp. Attack animations are now more accurate.
  • Fixed a bug where the Spirit's Greatsword was being treated as a regular sword.
  • Fixed the brutal physics bug where weapon hit detection would randomly fail until the current scene was reloaded.
  • Fixed a visual bug where players would appear to stand back up after falling to their death.
  • Fixed bug where items would remember their last "use multiple" amount, leading to an issue where, if equipped afterwards, could push an items uses into the negatives.
  • Fixed a few collision issues in the staircase section of keep of the stolen crown that were preventing fish men from traversing the stairs properly
  • Fixed a number of pathing issues with the stairs in the staircase section of Keep of the Stolen Crown by implementing a more complex nav-mesh-linking system.
  • Fixed a small bug where sometimes an NPC Hero would raise a shield, but no shield would be in their hands
  • Fixed a bug where NPC Hero type enemies would sometimes run at the player infinitely without attacking.
  • Fixed a bug where shooting a werewolf who was scripted to run to a drop down point before attacking you would cause them to get stuck trying to path to the player and failing.
  • Made it so that while getting up from being backstabbed, you can roll away, preventing situations where the player could be stuck in a backstab loop.
  • Fixed an issue where Runes and Heroic icons were labelled in the menu as "Consumable"
  • Added two new menu options -to enable/disable "Lock Camera Rotation" and "Camera Shake"
  • Fixed an issue where in new game plus, if the player owns two torches, when loading a saved game, only one torch will be loaded into memory, causing a break if the player had the item equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where performing a Whirlwind with a greatsword while a left handed weapon was holstered, would cause that weapon to pop to the player's back.
  • Fixed an issue where joining a friend's world would not sync the correct number of Anvils struck
  • Fixed an issue where joining a friend's world would not sync the correct number of Torches lit in the Easy Maker's retreat
  • Fixed a bug where if you die while climbing a ladder, sometimes your dead body memory pickup will spawn floating in the middle of the air.

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia Deluxe Edition

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia Deluxe Edition comes to Playstation and Nintendo Switch today alongside The Rise of Evil DLC coming to Xbox and PC. The Deluxe Edition will be available to all new would-be heroes on all platforms and includes the base game with the brand new DLC.

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia originally launched on Xbox and Steam last year and is set in a world that celebrates video game nostalgia. It blends the complex systems and dark aesthetics of its Souls-like inspirations with a reference-packed comedy tale told by a cynical narrator never short of a sharp put down.

The game delivers tough but fair combat, challenging bosses for you to overcome, engaging narrative mechanics rich in lore and a shockingly-rich character creator (kind of).

Drawing on the best of the games that inspired it - while delivering a humorous and innovative twist on the genre with a boatload of nudge and wink references - The Last Hero of Nostalgaia offers players the chance to enjoy tackling the game’s tough battles and laugh at its funny moments with friends thanks to an online co-op mode.

Nostalgaia is fading away to nothing: even the memories of our proud, cherished video games are being lost. Now, with our fidelity all but gone, at the very brink of extinction, hope emerges to fight back.

You are that hope.
