We've been receiving a lot of inquiries about the status of our current major update and wanted to give you a quick update on our progress.
We're excited to announce that we're getting closer to completion and are in the final stages of development. We're now looking for a few testers who own an Index headset and knuckles controllers, as well as a Windows Mixed Reality headset. If you're interested in helping us test the update, please reach out to us on Discord (https://discord.gg/g7vYGudHF3).
We're happy to report that we've overcome most of the technical hurdles we've faced and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for your patience and support, and stay tuned for further updates
Current Progress
It's been a while since we posted, so we wanted to give everyone more information regarding the next update that we are working on.
As we mentioned, it will be a major update that will bring full Index controller support, a lot of quality of life changes to the game, new features, improved physics, and an upgraded interaction system. It has been taking a bit to get it all done, we've had to dig deep into various systems within the game and pretty much gut them and replace them with the new systems. We are so far making good progress, but because it such a fundamental change to the game, it takes time...a lot of time. We knew this going into this change that it would be a lot of work (actually a ton of re-work!), but we want to continue to develop the game and bring more content. This sets us up to do that as it will allow us to have a much more solid foundation to move forward with.
Below is a list of things that will be included:
Official Index Support - This will include full finger tracking for Index players.`
Official Windows Mixed Reality Support - We will need some testers at some point as we don't have a WMR headset...so let us know if you are willing to do some testing once we get completed.
Improved interaction with the world - We have completely redesigned the interaction system to allow more grips to be placed on items, which will give better and more natural looking grips to existing items. In addition, we have added physics based grips, which will allow a much more fined grain grab for larger objects via dynamic hand/finger posing (similar to Long Echo).
We have also made a lot more things able to be picked up and manipulated. This includes boxes and other items that can be picked up with two hands that were previous moveable, but not able to be picked up.
Added ability to play seated - There have been a few players that would rather play sitting down and some recent games released support this. We've been working on adding this into the game.
Exploring adding a crouch button - Were not to sure how this would affect the game, but we are experimenting with it.
Improved weapon handling - You will now have the ability to grab the pistol gun slide in multiple places.`This was a pain point for many players, so we added it as it added to realism.
Quality of life enhancements-
Improved leaning over objects. You can now lean over lower objects and continue to use the thumb stick to back away from it.
Players will no longer get stuck in the world geometry. We have worked on a great solution for this, and it will no longer be an `issue
We have gotten the weapons grabs to be much more reliable so grabbing the gun slides, will now always use the grab button. We are removing the option for using the trigger.
Improved distance grab. Picking up objects are now easier and its selection scope more accurate.
Interacting with objects are now much more forgiving and should provide a much better experience.
Rework of grab indicators. We are working on making them much less intrusive.
Bug fixes - There are too many to list here but some include:
Some users having issues not being able to get into the game due to the black screen issue
Levers not working under certain circumstances
Two handed guns sometimes not able to go into backpack
Gun slides not properly cocking under certain circumstances
By the way, this list above is some of the things we are adding. It's not a complete list... Thanks for your continued support, we're excited to get this update completed as soon as possible. It's still a bit ways off. We'll keep you posted with another update soon!

Major Update Coming
Hey Everyone,
Hope you’re enjoying your 4th of July weekend! We have been pretty quiet recently and for a good reason. We have had quite a few changes in the last couple of weeks. If you don’t know already, we are a husband and wife dev team…and my partner/wife just gave birth to our son a couple of weeks ago. So a new addition to the team!
With that said, we have been quite busy. But very excited to also let you all know that we are still hard at work and working on a major update! And yes, this will include full Index Controllers support with finger tracking. We will also include a HUGE amount of refinements and fixes. Too many to list here...but over the course of the next few weeks, we will be giving more information. This update will take a bit of time, and we are committed to make it happen as soon as we can.
As always, thank you for your understanding and continued support!
Steve & Pamela

Hotfix 2- Resolved Game Start Up Issue
Some of of you may have noticed that there was an update late yesterday, now that it is verified by members of the community experiencing the issue, we want to update everyone else.
This update fixes the game not launching on start up for some players. If you have previously set your game over to one of the Beta branches, you can now opt out of the Beta to receive this update as its now safe to do so.
Additional Bug fix:
Fixed - Player hands not snapping back to controller when grabbing certain items
Many thanks to the community for helping us to get to the root cause of these issues.
Now that these critical issues have been fixed, we are working on a highly requested feature, so stay tuned for this next announcement!
Hotfix- Walkie Talkie Bug
Some players were affected by a bug where they could not progress when picking up the walkie talkie.
We have tracked down the issue to players in certain regions being affected by the Windows language settings on their PC. This patch directly fixes that issue and many others caused by it.
A big shout out to LFulciFan and other players who brought this issue to our attention, you were all instrumental in helping us track it down.
