This update is just a small fix for a location in the intro level where it was possible to get stuck in the geometry if you were really testing the edges of the game. Since we actively try to encourage this in players, we wanted to address it even though it is a pretty rare occurrence.
We are grateful to everyone who has given The Magic Circle a chance, and welcome to the new players who found us during the daily deal! Hope you enjoy the game.

Update With Some Bugfixes
Today we are updating with an important (if very rare) bugfix. There was an issue where *spoilers ahead* damage done by the parasite ability did not properly send life back into the crack system. This could be made into a spiral of fail (by a truly dedicated player) that might create an impossible to recover from resource situation. We have a fix, as well as an attempt to correct the problem in save files of affected players.
Special thanks to Jetz on the forums, who spent a lot of time isolating the problem and sent us incredibly useful save files and repro steps. The bug was rare enough that no one else has ever reported it, but Jetz pushed the system as far as it would go and uncovered the issue.
As always, we are super grateful to our awesome players. Thanks for checking out the game and hope you have enjoyed it!

Update With Numerous Small Fixes and Tweaks
The biggest change in this update is some significant work on pathfinding to make it smoother and more predictable, especially in the endgame sequence. What was there before worked fine, but we were never completely happy with it, so we took this opportunity to make it better.
There are also a number of small geometry and texture tweaks, as well as some fixes to how the player behaves in certain collision situations. Please let us know if you see anything bizarre! As always the full change list can be seen in the Tech Support Forum.
Thanks again to all the players who have given The Magic Circle a chance, we appreciate it and hope you enjoyed the game!

Russian Translation, Optimizations, and Fixes!
The HUGE part of this update is that The Magic Circle is now available with subtitles and interface translated into Russian! We are really excited about this since we have seen alot of interest from the Russian gaming community since launch, and we are happy for them to be able to enjoy the game in their native language. We worked with WinterWrite Translation Studio to make this happen, and we believe they have done a great job.
In addition, this update comes with more optimizations aimed at making the game run better on min spec machines, especially those with weaker CPUs. There are also a number of very small geo fixes and tweaks.
Thanks again to everyone who has played and enjoyed the game,

Small Change To How Default Language is Determined
This update is based on some feedback from users pointing out that we could use Steam to determine the language that the game defaults to, rather than the system settings. Hopefully this results in a smoother experience for our players whose computers might be set to one language, but choose to run games in another.
