Small patch this morning to fix an unwanted exploit, some instability that could be caused by a particular ability combination, and some small balance tweaks. Full patch notes in the forums.

Come say hi, check out the game, bring questions!
EDIT: Stream is over, but you should still be able to watch the archive at the provided link!
LAUNCH!! We are officially out and there is a FREE DEMO!
If you get the demo, your progress will be preserved in the main game when you purchase it.
Many thanks to all the amazing players who contributed to early access! We cannot begin to express how much it has meant to have such a dedicated group of people helping us to make the game better for everyone.
Seeing you enjoy the game has been crucial for our morale and motivation and now we are out!
If you enjoyed the game, we appreciate any help getting the word out so people know about us. We're pretty sure there are a lot of people who would enjoy The Magic Circle who have never heard of it, and we want them to have the chance.
Question
Update #9 Is Live! Language Localization!
One of the final pre-launch updates has gone live.
The BIG FEATURE in this update is localized subtitles and interface for the following languages:
German
Italian
Spanish
French
We would love feedback from any of our existing multi-lingual customers regarding any issues or quality feedback. It's really important to us that The Magic Circle is available to as many people as possible, and supporting languages other than English is a huge part of that.
In addition we have some new functionality with waypoints, footstep sounds, and many small tweaks and fixes.
As always, full patch notes will be posted in the Tech Support forum.
Pricing Changes
In preparation for our launch on this Thursday the 9th, we are changing the pricing for the game. Going forward the deluxe edition (the early access version with soundtrack) will be $24.99 US, and the base edition will be $19.99.
EDIT: Valve came through - Base Edition is now available. However!
There will be launch discounts, so you might want to wait until Thursday to purchase to take advantage of those.
Thanks!
Question
RELEASE DATE JULY 9!
That's basically it.
We will be transitioning to the full release on July 9th. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the Early Access period, the game is immeasurably better as a result. Oh, and if you're watching this space but don't own the game yet, July 9th also marks the release of our free demo version!
As we mentioned, we intended to take the game off of the store to prepare for the full release in the next couple weeks. What we did not know is that Valve does not give developers the power to control availability themselves.
We have reached out where we can to find out how we go about removing the game from the store, so it could disappear at any time. Until then, you can still get the Deluxe Edition at the reduced Early Access price.
Sorry for the confusion, there are clearly things we are still learning about Steam.
Thanks for your understanding,
Question/TMC Team
Launching Soon! Early Access Ends Sunday 9PM PST
Hi everyone,
In the next few weeks, The Magic Circle will be making its full release, so this Sunday, June 28th at Midnight Eastern Time (9pm PST), the game will no longer be available until our official launch. The remaining time before then is the last chance to get the Deluxe Edition ($24.99 from Launch Day onward) for $19.99 - and we wanted to give you some advanced notice.
From the bottom of our hearts, we at Question want to thank the Early Access community for giving us such an overwhelmingly positive experience. Your user reviews bolstered our morale, and your feedback has helped us to improve TMC immensely. If you enjoyed the game, please spread the word - especially when we launch in the next week or two!
In gratitude,
Question / TMC Team
Update #8 Is Live! It's A Big One.
This is a pretty huge update, highlights include the previously mentioned edits to the longer speeches in the game, re-mappable key and button bindings, and some really cool (in our opinion) bonus content added to the end game.
There are also MANY small bug fixes and tweaks, see the forums for the full list of changes! Thanks to all the early access players and streamers for helping us find ways to make the game better.
Some VO / Story edits coming...
Hey Early Access folks.
Because many of you have played through the game in its current form and you're all paying customers, we wanted to be as transparent as possible with you (Ish Gilder would be mortified).
Long story shorter - as some of you know already, TMC is very talk-heavy in act 3, for the amount of game that's there. Before we recorded some of the bigger scenes, we had some ideas about how to improve the gameplay-to-chatter ratio there. But when we finally evaluated those ideas seriously as a team, we realized they had their own potential to feel like padding, and that seemed bad - so we walked away and got busy with other critical issues. That left you guys needing to be more patient with the story near the end than we're comfortable with.
As a result, we're going to make some edits to make the script on the critical path a little leaner. Some of you may not even notice; we don't want to make it out to be world-shaking. But if you're a huge fan of act 3 exactly as it is, well, we salute your superhuman patience, and now would be the time to video-capture the "rough cut", as it were. We will try to make that content available either in game or out, somewhere, if you're into the game equivalent of deleted scenes.
Thank you for playing, and for helping us to make TMC better.
