WE'RE DONATING 10% OF NOVEMBER REVENUE TO THE MOVEMBER FOUNDATION. JOIN OUR MOTEAM!
We're big supporters of Movember, and since The Masterplan is pretty moustache-heavy, we figured now would be a good opportunity to do some good while playing games and growing awesome 'staches.
Therefore, we're donating 10% of our November early access revenue to the Movember foundation! Our goal is to raise awareness of men's health issues, especially in the game developer and gaming enthusiast communities.
Indie game studio pledges to donate 10% of revenue to the Movember Foundation
San Francisco and Helsinki, October 31st – Shark Punch, the developer of the 70s heist game The Masterplan, pledges to donate 10% of November revenue to the Movember Foundation
"The Masterplan is a game about moustaches", says Shark Punch CEO Jiri Kupiainen. "Visualize the protagonist of a great 70s crime movie. I guarantee an awesome moustache is one of the first things to come to mind."
Shark Punch is an independent game development studio founded by veterans of the Finnish games industry. The Early Access version of their first game The Masterplan has been available on Steam Early Access since September. The company is pledging to donate 10% of their early access revenue in November to the Movember Foundation.
The company says their primary reason for doing this is to raise awareness of men's health issues especially in the game developer community. "The games industry is rapidly diversifying, which is the best thing ever. However, today still over three quarters of game developers are men. And based on my 14 years of experience in the industry, most of us men could pay more attention to our personal health."
Shark Punch wants to remind fellow game developers to maintain good work-life balance, exercise regularly, and not to skip their health checkups. "We wish more people saw their career in games as a multi-decade commitment, instead of five years of crunching, bad habits and eventual burnout. Stay healthy and keep making games! After all, it's probably the best job anyone could have." Kupiainen says.
The company has set up a Moteam page for The Masterplan, and invites all fans of the game, the studio, or men's health in general to join up and donate. Four fifths of the company are participating in Movember, the sole exception being the creative director, who claims not to be able to grow a moustache. The rest of the team testifies this to be true.

Bug Fixes
Only show equip hot key for currently actionable items. For example, don't show hot key for ammo
Stop attacking if weapon is changed to a different type weapon. For example you have issued a melee command and then decide to intimidate instead and equip a gun, the character will not shoot
ZZZzz effect is only shown for unconscious bodies and the effect moves with the body if the body is moved to another spot
Disallow issuing commands beyond level bounds
Fix NPCs sometimes getting stuck facing the opposite direction they are going
Centering camera on a goon only works when quickly selecting the same goon twice. For example, if you quickly press "1" twice, it will select the first goon and then center the camera on it.
Bodies are only counted once towards the bodycount. Previously picking up and dropping bodies increased the bodycount.
Fix loot count and ammo count texts sometimes displaying incorrect amounts
Fixed goons sometimes picking up items from a super far
Fixed guards and cops not being able to walk through broken windows
Fixed items getting heavier and heavier if they were picked up and dropped multiple times
Fixed picked up and then dropped items sometimes getting permanent "Pickup"-tooltips
Fixed lots of issues with game crashing when pressing "New Game". If the game still crashes, see workarounds (http://steamcommunity.com/app/313080/discussions/2/613936039655729769/) or contact us via email support@sharkpunch.com

We're live right now - so come and ask us questions!
The Masterplan is available today on Early Access! Read here on what to expect.
The Masterplan is still very much under development, and you can expect the game to evolve a lot during the next months according to the community's feedback.
What can I expect in this Early Access version?
Fully playable
Provides 1.5-2 hours worth of playtime
Collection of several levels/heist locations to play through and experiment
Expect some challenges
Balancing will be adjusted according to your feedback
In-game money is used to unlock heist locations
In future updates, loot can be used to purchase weapons, intel and other perks to progress in the game
Goons will gain specialized skills in later updates
Includes experimental game play mode "It Came From the Vault" that was done during Ludum Dare 30, which you cannot actually win because there is no escape from hell.
Updates We are planning to update the game every two weeks. Updates will feature more content, more features, bug fixes and balancing out gameplay.
What can I expect in the full version? The full version will have a full story driven campaign. The Early Access version is more a collection of levels, since we don't want to ruin the story for anyone. We will adjust the feature roadmap according to community feedback, naturally.
How long will the game stay on Early Access? We're planning on launching the full version in Spring 2015.
Thanks and enjoy playing! Looking forward to your feedback!
