Our Prime Assets are the core of the Therapy and it's time for you to have some quality time with Sergeant Coyle, Mother Gooseberry and Franco Barbi during Prime Time, along with two new sadistic MK-Challenges that push you to fumigate the factory and gamble your life for freedom.

New Limited-Time Event: PRIME TIME
Prime Time proved to be a most efficacious therapy; so much so that we are reviving the initiative. Gooseberry, Coyle, or Franco unite to hunt you down in the same Trial for some compound Therapy.
New Limited-Time Catalog: PRIME TIME
A brand new Catalog is available for the duration of the Prime Time Limited-Time event.
- Players can spend their acquired Event Tokens on items in the Prime Time Catalog to unlock exclusive cosmetics.
- Once the event ends, the catalog will be removed, and any unspent tokens will be lost.
New MK-Challenge: FUMIGATE THE FACTORY
Aging workers with their pensions and benefits are the bleeding wounds of our economy, draining the corporate body with their chronic existence. Stop the bleeding with a sterilizing gas and put the workers out of our misery.
New MK-Challenge: REDEEM YOUR FREEDOM
Currency, like your survival, is worthless unless you give it value with faith. Collect tickets like your life depended on it.
Revamp of Program Genesis
The Genesis Program has been revamped to include all Trials and MK-Challenges.
- Trials are now organized by theme.
- Programs now feature distinct visual feedback to clearly differentiate between Trials and MK-Challenges.
- Going forward, all new Trials and MK-Challenges will be added under their corresponding themes within the Genesis Program.
Quickplay replaced by Group Finder
- Quick Play has been replaced with the new Group Finder.
- Accessible from the Terminal’s main screen, the Group Finder allows players to connect with others looking to participate in the same activity.
Pause Menu rework
- The Pause Menu now features three tabs: Menu, Tasks, and Loadout.
- Players can navigate through these tabs to view their respective content.
- While in a Trial, the Loadout tab is view-only. Changes can still be made in the Sleep Room and Shuttle before starting a Trial.
- Holding Tab (or Select on Gamepad) remains a shortcut to quickly open the Tasks tab.
Tasks Tracking
- It is now possible to pin one Task and have it displayed in the HUD permanently.
- Simply navigate to the Tasks menu and press the Pin input.
Additions/Fixes/Balancing
- “Weekly Therapies” are now called “Routine Therapies” and include more tasks to complete for extra rewards. This change helps distinguish them from rotating “Weekly Tasks” and week-long program tasks.
- Routine Therapies and Special Therapies will now include event variators in the Introductory difficulty, since it’s now possible to play any Trial in its original format within Program Genesis.
- Jaeger Ex-Pop changes:
- The Jaeger will no longer spawn during Trials of the Genesis Programs on Introductory and Standard difficulties.
- It can still appear in Standard difficulty for Routine, Event, and Escalation Therapies.
- Spawn chances reduced to 20% (was 33%) at Standard Difficulty.
- Spawn chances reduced to 75% (was 100%) (Intensive and Psychosurgery)
- The Jaeger can now only spawn once per Trial.
- Once spawned, the Jaeger presence in a Trial is reduced to 3 minutes (was 5 minutes).
- The Jaeger will no longer spawn during Trials of the Genesis Programs on Introductory and Standard difficulties.
- Trial Maker:
- Improved Variators compatibility.
- Added a new tab “Last Played” that lists the last Trials played in chronological order.
- Improved Variators compatibility.
- Escalation Therapy:
- Added all latest MK-Challenges.
- Reduced the number of syringe in Trials.
- Added all latest MK-Challenges.
- Solo: Players can now have a maximum reserve of 5 respawns (including Escalation).
- Genesis: Adjusted variators in Intensive and Psychosurgery difficulties.
- Settings: A new option has been added to automatically equip picked-up items.
- The Stamina Boost item now grants temporary stamina immunity and a short speed boost upon consumption.
- Added new behaviors for the imposters: list of behaviors redacted on purpose 🤫
- Gameplay tutorials will now reappear for players who have been inactive for several days.
- Fixed missing reward for the Genesis task “Score A+ in the Trial: Liquidate the Union”. Players will have to recomplete the task to claim the reward.
- Fixed a bug where Program Genesis was reset after a Relapse.
- Other various bug fixes.
The Outlast Trials Roadmap 2025

Now you understand: escape is foolish, undesirable, impossible. For those truly dedicated to the therapy, we have begun our Relapse Initiative. Begin again. Be Rewarded. Keep growing. Together, we can always get better.
New Trial: Liquidate the Union
Human labor is the backbone of liberty and profit. We cannot allow the vanity of self-preservation to threaten production. Cross the picket line, persuade labor to resume production, and liquify the union.
New MK-Challenge: Spread the Disease
Sexually transmitted disease is the secret handshake of evolutionary judgement and divine retribution. Spread the infection, and we will let you out.
New MK-Challenge: Cook the Informant
Nobody can resist interrogation by torture, and any manner of death is a mercy. Microwave the informant, burst his head, and we will let you out.
New Deluxe Catalog: Project Relapse
The new Deluxe Catalog “Project Relapse” is now available.
- The catalog is filled with 10 pages of new exclusive cosmetic items.
- Unlock the Deluxe Catalog using Murkoff Coins, earned by completing the Onboarding Catalog and other Deluxe Catalogs.
- Acquire Stamps by completing Trials and Tasks, then use the Stamps to acquire Deluxe Catalog items.
- As a reminder, the Deluxe Catalogs are available permanently. Unlock items at your own pace.
New Enemy: The Jaeger
The Jaeger initiative introduces a valuable new member to our Experimental Population, an exemplar of resilience, dedication, and obedience. Equipped with the latest in radio broadcasting technology, Murkoff guides the Jaeger remotely with simple instructions—Find and kill the assigned Reagent, wherever they run, wherever they hide. A lethal homing device on two legs, the Jaeger doesn’t stop until her target is brutally murdered. Don’t give up, and Murkoff won’t give up on you.
- A new enemy type can now visit the Trials: The Jaeger
- When the Jaeger appears in a Trial, she will target one Reagent and chase it until death.
New Limited-Time Program: Jeager Onboarding
The Jaeger is currently undergoing vigorous live environment testing. Just as death follows a wasted life, so does the Jaeger follow those it wishes to hold close.
New Variator:
- JAEGER: The Jaeger Ex-Pop is permanently present in Trials. Experience the event by selecting the "Jaeger" Program on the Trial Board.
- The new variator has also been added to Escalation Therapy and Trial Maker.
Event Schedule:
- Part 1: April 22nd to May 6
- Part 2: May 6 to May 20
Introducing the Trial Maker
Consider the blood, sweat, and tears that go into creating The Therapy. Experience it for yourself, and experiment with your limits, physical, mental, and emotional, with our new Trial Maker.
With the Trial Maker, players can now:
- Build their own Trial by combining various Trials, MK-Challenges, and custom Variators.
- Create and save up to 10 unique trials.
- Generate names for your creations by selecting from a list of words.
- Easily share your creations with friends using a unique Trial code.
- Play Trials made by other players using their code or if they are present in the same Sleep Room.
- Unleash your creativity and challenge yourself like never before!
Introducing the Relapse Initiative
You have proven your dedication to the therapy, but this is only the beginning. The Relapse initiative is a fresh start. Together, we can go deeper.
- Reach the new maximum therapy level (99) to access the Relapse Initiative.
- Relapse reverts your therapy to level one in exchange of a permanent upgrade of your choice and rewards.
- Reagents will be invited to enter the clinic area located in the Evaluation Corridor after completing a Trial. They must be at maximum therapy level to opt into the Relapse initiative.
Benefits of performing the Relapse initiative:
- THERAPY RESET: Your therapy level will be reset and all upgrades will be relocked.
- RELAPSE NUMBER: Your relapse number increases after each relapse.
- PERMANENT UNLOCK: Unlock one upgrade of your choice to keep permanently. It won't be locked at future relapses.
- KEEP YOUR COSMETICS: All your character and cell cosmetics are kept.
- KEEP YOUR STATS: Your stats carry over across relapses.
- RELAPSE PLAQUE: A honorific plaque is installed in your cell room with the amount of relapses completed.
Progression Adjustments
- The progression has been adjusted to fit the new maximum therapy level (99).
- Amps are now unlocked as a batch of 3 at different milestones throughout the progression.
- You are now rewarded with XP based on your grade.
- XP for completing Trial and MK-Challenges XP have been adjusted.
- Performance XP has been improved and is more rewarding based on your performance during a Trial.
Save Game in Escalation Therapy
- Players can now save and exit an Escalation Therapy run and return to it later.
- Only one save game is possible per player.
- Starting a new Escalation Therapy will overwrite the save game.
- Players can continue an Escalation Therapy with the same group, and all players will regain their exact loadout.
- New players joining a saved game (who haven't played previously) will need to select an upgrade consecutively for each completed Trial in the saved game.
Murkoff Suspends Reborns Program Temporarily
- In response to the recent escape attempts, Murkoff has temporarily suspended the Rebirth program.
- To serve as a reminder of the escape incident, Amelia is now displayed in the Sleep Room.
- Additionally, the Reborn counter has been concealed.
Added Nudity Filter
- Added a new “Nudity Filter” option in the Settings.
- Enables visual filter to hide nudity and sexually explicit content that could be considered offensive.
- Please note that certain environmental elements, such as artwork or mannequins, may still feature some nudity.
Join Trials in Progress
It is now possible to join friends already playing a Trial (Join-in-progress) via the Social Menu.
Additions/Fixes/Balancing
- As some players might have experienced, the imposters have improved their behavior to cause even more confusion during Trials: They can carry items, bleed, suffer from Psychosis effects, Ping, Perform emotes, Look around, Crouch, etc.
- Upon entering the game for the first time after the update, players are presented with a new tutorial screens to explain the Relapse Initiative and Progression changes.
- Relapse Number is now displayed in the Records/Stats menu.
- You are no longer safe while on the other side of a garage door… enemies can grab you!
- All of the cell posters now have a unique name.
- Other various bug fixes.

Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event
Play Trials in the Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event or complete Amelia's Tasks to acquire Event Tokens for the exclusive Rewards featured in the Amelia Catalog before the end of this Limited-Time event on April 22nd at 10am ET.
Once the Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event ends on April 22nd, the catalog will be removed, and any unspent tokens will be lost.
Year 1 Anniversary Task Rewards
The Year 1 Anniversary special set of Tasks will be available to complete until April 22nd at 10am ET.

Amelia has succeeded in creating a brief means of ESCAPE! Reagents can now attempt their own getaway from the Sinyala Facility!
Murkoff won’t let go without a fight. Doubling down on the highteneded surveillance already embedded in the Trials, the risk of being exposed to the all-seeing eye is greater than ever before in the newest update of The Outlast Trials now available on all platforms.
This update includes:
- New Gameplay Event: “It’s time to Escape!”
- Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event pt.2
- Reagent Reborn Experimental Changes
New Gameplay Event: “It’s time to Escape!”
“It’s time. I’ve gimmicked the Trial Shuttle to take you to the escape; you can call it from the terminal. Act like nothing’s out of the ordinary, I’ll keep this running as long as I can, but Murkoff’s going to realize something is wrong. Go now!”
The Escape
Reagents, this will likely be the only chance we’ve got… Now is your chance to Escape the Sinyala Facility!
- With the help of the schematics that were collected, Amelia was able to hack Murkoff’s Trial Terminal. Interact with the Terminal in the Sleep Room to commence your Escape.
- Assemble your group! You can attempt the Escape with up to 4 Reagents.
- Don’t miss your shot at freedom, it may never come again.
Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event pt.2
“For reasons solely based around your safety during therapy, we have temporarily heightened surveillance in our Trial environments. Falling under the scrutiny of our all-seeing eye will alert staff to any nearby hazards.”
- Continue your progress by completing Part II of the Under Surveillance Limited-Time Event as Murkoff tries to fight against Amelia’s Escape plan.
Secondary Objectives
- Find the Escape Plans scattered throughout the Trials to help Reagents escape the Murkoff Institution.
- Find the Television Broadcast and watch the Amelia’s Escape message before Murkoff does.

- Continue to help Amelia by completing her next batch of Tasks.
Limited-Time Catalog: Amelia ENDS April 22
Show your support to Amelia by unlocking and wearing the exclusive cosmetics available in the Amelia Catalog.
- Acquire Event Tokens by completing Under Surveillance Trials and certain Tasks.
- Make sure to use all acquired Tokens before the event’s completion on April 22nd. All remaining Event Tokens will be lost.
Reagent Reborn Experimental Changes
Since our 1.0 Launch, Reagents have amazed us by completing over 1.3 million Rebirths! As we mentioned in our previous Blog Post, the Season 3 update will be coming April 22nd and the Sinyala Facility will usher in some changes to its Reborn scientific experiment/Rebirth initiative in order to improve the Therapy. As of the Season 3 update on April 22nd at 10am ET, access to the Rebirth hallway will be closed off for the near future while we retool the Reborn procedure.
Now is the time to test your resilience and attempt becoming Reborn! Remember that you can obtain exclusive Legendary Outfits when you become Reborn, as well as Trophy Cell Items when you hit 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 Reborns.

Hotfix Patch Notes | Under Surveillance - March 27
We are deploying a small patch to fix some issues that have been reported since our latest update!
The issues our team has fixed in this patch:
- Fixed the Pitcher not spawning.
- Fixed an issue where the player could crouch jump infinitely.
- Fixed an issue where room clues for Kidnap the Mistress were localized to the language set in-game therefore not matching the way it is labelled within the Downtown map. All room clues will now be labelled in English for clarity.
- Fixed an issue where Night Vision Goggles were misaligned after players equipped them in their Sleep Room Cell.
- Fixed an issue where some players were unable to complete or claim their Weekly Task rewards. We have reset all Weekly Tasks and players can now complete them again for extra rewards.
- And various other minor bug fixes.

- These new items are costly and require a significant amount of game time.
Additions/Fixes/Balancing
- Barricade Rig: Can now play be deployed in more doorways and window frames.
- Blind Rig: Base deploy decreased to 4 seconds (was 5 seconds), the upgraded is now 3s (was 4s).
- Jammer: Jammer can now open automatic mannequin gates.
- The nearest Revive Syringe location is now displayed to teammates when someone from the team dies.
- Replay Introduction now displays a confirmation popup before launching.
- The “Introductory” Difficulty has been adjusted for enemies to inflict less damages and move slightly slower.
- The “Psychosurgery” Difficulty has been adjusted to slightly increase enemy speed.
- The “Stay Together” Variator has been removed from Escalation Therapy.
- Using the “Regroup” quick chat action now places a regroup icon on the ground at the player’s location.
- Programs: A new visual indication is displayed for Trials completed in other difficulties than the one that is currently selected on the Trial Board.
- Posters: Posters are now ordered by type (Weekly Programs, Events, etc.)
- Settings: Added a new option to toggle mouse smoothing.
