Balance changed, bugfixes, NEW CONTENT incoming!

Hello!

It's very nice to see The Red Solstice still going strong with a lot of new players after our last promotion. We mentioned that we will make an announcement this Friday, so here it is!



New [B]CONTENT UPDATE[/B] and a [B]DLC[/B] will be arriving at the same time, in the upcoming weeks.

CONTENT UPDATE:


Will feature a new [B]marauder mode[/B]. In this mode players will be able to visit all available sectors in the same time. Game will last longer (up to 2h if you wish to complete entire marauder game), but it will be give the game quite a different flavour.
Each sector will bring it's own challenges and tracing back through already visited sector might net you some nasty surprises.

DLC:


We're prepping dlc which will include more missions and 2 new weapons to play with. Stay tuned!


With this announcement we are also releasing a new balancing patch that will hopefully make this game better and more fun to play. As always, your comments are welcome either on the community hub forums or on our discord servers.

Heavy Support

  • slightly reduced safeguard on level 3,4,5
  • anti armor cooldown reduced from 70 to 45
  • anti armor increases minimal damage 2-10 and weapon damage 2-10
  • anti armor fires 6 rockets now, extremely dangerous for CLOSE PROXIMITY, use at long range


Recon

  • flare gun bonus duration increased by +4 sec per level, lvl 5 fare gun will have 28sec duration
  • designate cooldown increased from 15 to 18 seconds


Medic

  • chemical bomb changed radius to 3.5-7.5, damage 200-400, reduced slow
  • healgun heal increased to 90 at max level
  • stimulants attack speed increased 6-26%, move speed 5-13%
  • using pharmacology on antivenom will add +15sec cooldown


Terminator

  • nanite cooldown set to 25s, armor resistance max 10%, armor reg max 0.6s
  • terminator teleportation device cooldown decrease increased from 6-30s


Demolition

  • smart grenade now takes 0.5 sec to explode and has fixed 4.5m radius
  • demolition seismic resonator damage increased from 75-275


Hellfire

  • napalm wall damage increased 15-55/s


Marksman

  • HE canister explosive damage increased to 300-1100, radius to 1-3m


Items

  • law upgrade damage increased from 600 to 1000, aftereffect range decreased from 20m to 7m

HINTS - Basic field knowledge


Multiplayer mode is made to present a more challenging but ultimate COOP experience, so if those of you who have just started playing are having hard time surviving, we suggest you try playing at least through the first singleplayer mission in order to familiarize yourself with the game mechanics.

It is a good idea to start with larger teams on easier difficulties, try keeping at the outer edges of the map as much as possible, try to collect as much supplies from the buildings as possible in the first part of the game, and stick with your teammates.

Medal update!

We've updated and fixed some medals that were problematic, it's not a big patch, but it's something.

PATCH LOG:

  • Elite Campaign Order - fixed so that requirements meets description
  • Distinguished Force Specialist - fixed, was not available at all
  • Cross Of Honor - fixed Vivian initially being set to "dead" instead of alive
  • Silver star - will require 0 secondary missions now
  • Legion Of Merit - requirements meet description now
  • *Fixed major bug in all medals where Tyler Hunt evac hasn't been registered properly

Solstice Chronicles - Funded! Last 24h!

Hello marines!

It has been a struggle keeping pace with the development plans while at the same time juggling with all the other responsibilities the campaign demanded, but we made it and it was worth it. Not only did we manage to gather the needed financial resources, but the interest you have shown us so far has pushed us to actually finish more then initially planned so that we can show you more of the actual gameplay. But the campaign isn't over and there is so much more that can be done.
So what now?

There is 24h more to go, and we haven't given up on our stretch goals. Any money that we receive beyond the initial goal will be going towards the development of "Improved Survival". Even if we don't manage to reach the official stretch goal, we will use the resources at our disposal to make as much of it as possible.

What we probably miss the most at this moment is multiplayer. A lot of people are disappointed by the fact that we are planning to release the game with local coop multiplayer only. It has been a tough decision to go for a game with no network multiplayer after making a successful multiplayer focused game, but unfortunately it was the right one. We want to deliver games done right, and we would never manage to make a full multiplayer supporting game with the resources we had at our disposal.

Since it's something we really want to do, we have added multiplayer as our third and most ambitious stretch goal. If we manage to reach it, a full network multiplayer mode will be added to the game some time after the release.
