Calling all Gamers!
We are proud to announce the first Official Red Solstice Community Tournament,
sponsored by Ironward and brought to you by e4i, OPNoobs.com and EthixGaming.
Beginning on April 16th, 2016, this tournament will decide which team deserves the title of Red Solstice 2016 Community Champions! OPNoobs will broadcast the competition live on Twitch and commentators will keep viewers updated as the actions unfolds.
1. Ingame SKILLS/Components descriptions
- Rathnarook completely changed and adapted descriptions to all components, weapons, skills, so it's easier to understand the logic behind it, also color coded it big thanks to him, by doing this he earned his name as one of the followers with a description "Librarian"
2. LOCKERS
Lockers can now be destroyed with 3/5/7 hits from bullets
- more than 200 instant explosive damage(not cumulative) will open a locker
- energy damage will open a locker
3. FOLLOWERS buffed
- they now have 250 armor and 400 health
4. MEDALS
- have their requirements changed and clarified
The Winter Solstice 1.34 update
Update is up, and we're almost not late.
We noticed Red storm was not very popular among game modes, so we decided to rework it a bit. We decided to make it a bit more dynamic mode that puts players in the center of action as soon as possible and offers a bit shorter match length.
Red storm mode now begins at wave 8 with marines a level 7 with some initial items based on selected class. To make things a bit more interesting, Red storm will no longer have constant penalties, but will vary in strength. Also, every power station activated will reduce total penalties by 3%.
Red storm buff network synchronization has also been reworked, allowing for much better performance. Secondary missions will be given every 200 seconds.
With this patch we also introduce leader auras. If a player is near another player with much higher rank, his own rank bonuses will be replaced by half of higher player's stats. For example, if one player has 20 bonus health and other has 5, that other player will, if he is within 30m, be granted a total of 10 bonus health, with 5 as his base stat, and another 5 as an additional buff.
Monster scale now affects their other stats, so monsters that are a bit bigger will now move a bit slower. We hope that it will help reduce monster stacking. Thanks to Yegor for the suggestion.
Some problems with medal stat calculation and stat display in host game menu have been resolved.
Additional minor tweaks include increase of chemical bomb damage and safety zone extension with power cell usage to 17%.
Also, as is appropriate for this time of the year, the Evil Santa is back for some killing. Marines also got some season appropriate decorations.

Progress update
Hello everyone!
It's been a bit quiet last few weeks, so we just wanted to let everyone know what's going on and what to expect.
First of all despite the speculation, no we haven't moved to Hawaii.
After the release and post release fixing frenzy was over, we had to start planning for the future. After testing some new tools and discussing our possibilities at length we have made some final decisions concerning our companies future path and have started working on a new project. We can't say much about it at this point, but it will be situated in The Red Solstice universe.
That of course, does not mean that we have stopped or that we plan to stop working on The Red Solstice any time soon. In fact, we have been preparing an update that should be out by the end of next week, consisting of medals revamp plus some bug fixes.
Another patch should be out for the winter holidays. After that, we will be preparing for a bigger expansion featuring new maps and weapons, that might come out as a DLC. At that time we will again re-evaluate the situation and determine where our effort is best invested.
The Red Solstice Halloween event
As of today, The Red Solstice Halloween event has started. The Red Solstice is 50% off for the duration of the Steam Halloween sale. We have included some season appropriate decorations to get you in the mood. We hope you'll enjoy them.
With this update we officially include a new game concept called prestige rank. It is aimed for our veteran players. Every player can now gain up to five prestige ranks by sacrificing the amount of XP needed to reach the maximum rank (2222222 XP) for one rank. Each rank grants player one additional starting and maximum energy point plus 10% bonus XP. For example, player with 2223222 Xp could get one point and be left with 1000 XP.
Some game mechanics mechanics have been slightly rebalanced and some minor bugs were fixed. Most notably, vindicator friendly fire and slowdown effect has been reduced, precise fire and assault vanguard have been rebalanced. Also, veteran marines will no longer display a popup, but will show details on LCTRL instead. Follower HP has been increased by 100.

We just wanted to let everyone know that the LMG, after being enabled over a weekend for testing purposes, has been disabled again. We have gathered the data we need, and will now go on making changes necessary to turn it into a truly balanced and fun weapon to use.

In order to make things a bit more interesting, we decided to temporarily change the rules a bit. From today until Monday, all skills cooldown has been reduced by 20%.
