we've introduced 2 new smaller bosses to fill in the gap on wave 10 and 11

- added new bosses Cerberus Green and Cerberus Red, their colors describe their immunity
- on Aetriden difficulty, they can appear on any wave beyond 4, with a very minimal chance of 1%

Regarding news on The Red Solstice, tomorrow we're patching it with 2 new BOSSES, Cerberus Red, and Cerberus Green, the have some tricky resistances so be careful when facing them.

Some rumours say there might be a poor civilian mission sometimes in future.

And as for The Red Solstice, we will be implementing smaller changes and introducing variations of exsting creatures that will add variety to the tactics you will have to use.

The Red Solstice 1.161 update, tournament announcement and more!

A new update is live!

It adds a new survival style multiplayer mission called "insurgent reinforcements".
It also fixes few bugs, including few minor medal requirement tweaks and a hard cap on prestige rank to five points.

We would also like to use this opportunity to announce that we are working on setting up another The Red Solstice community tournament. More information on that subject will be revealed soon.

Lastly our next content update will include a new boss! In the meantime, The Red solstice is on 50% discount until next week Tuesday the 19th, don't forget to tell your friends!

The Red Solstice FPS drop issue update, Summer Sale 60% off

We are happy to announce that we have identified and hopefully resolved the issue that led to FPS drops on higher waves in certain situations.Fix has been included in the latest version of the game. Issue happens quite randomly and hard to reproduce so any feedback on the situation appreciated.

Also, we'd like to use this opportunity to announce that The Red Solstice is now at a 60% discount as a part of Steam Summer sale.

Red Solstice Tournament Results and...!!!

All teams showed an incredible skill, approach and tactics, and the scoring was very close but the time was on TEAM ROCK side!

1st place: TEAM ROCK with 12305 points
2nd place: TEAM STH with 12265 points
3rd place: TEAM TFT with 12135 points
4th place: TEAM Rx with 8420 points..


Short recap:


Team ROCK, almost wiped at start with it's bold move to start the game by capturing the Point Capture, but managed to pull it out and secure the fastest evac by guarding and escorting squishy followers through entire game!

Team S*** Tier Heroes, controlled the flow of the game perfectly, every situation was well thought and and their tactic was executed flawlessly, but due to reviving followers at the dropship they lost those few precious seconds!

Team Failtrain, not executed perfectly, but definitely with most style, using terminator nukes just for showoff because they could, their downfall was being too late for the wave 15 last mission, and they lost too much time!

Team Rx, they were not hardcore veterans, but their game had the soul, it showed how a team can work very well togheter in unpredictable situations, and how things can rise and fall and change on the field. Specially noted for the Vindicator discharge in the middle of the team, and surviving that!

And because everyone showed such great moves and tactics, we're awarding FLUFFY SHOTGUN to EVERY participant of the tournament, including the people that were sitting on the bench as the backup!

And everyone who participated in the tournament will get access to closed alpha of the new thing that will be available next month!

The Red Solstice tournament update

We are very excited to announce a TRS Weekend on Twitch, your community having grabbed the bull by the horn, ready to compete for the 2016 title. This year's crown will be awarded on Sunday evening by the Ironward development studio, on top of game prizes and in-game rewards.

[U]First of all [B]very important notice:[/U]
After careful analysis of practice rounds, we have decided to make a change to the scoring system. Staying in overrun will no longer grant extra points. Instead, every 35 seconds after wave 15, a 50 point penalty will be added.

A few more points and reminders:

- Team leaders must arrive on TeamSpeak on Sunday at 1PM US Eastern, or 5PM GMT.

- If you can sit on the bench throughout Sunday, while your team isn't competing, please let us know. We already have a few volunteers, ready to jump in a game should registered players not show. Thanks to everyone who raised their hand last Sunday on TeamSpeak.

- If you are willing to be on webcam during the stream, please let us know. We hope to get a minimum of 2 team members on the Skype Video Call, at the time their team plays. No microphone is necessary, and all you're expected to do is play the game.

- All events between Saturday and Sunday will be televised on Twitch.tv/opnoobsonline. Please bookmark the webpage at your earliest convenience.

New DLC and Steam Daily Deal 50%!


Ironward proudly presents Armory DLC pack and free content update!



The Armory Pack Contains:
  • Ten helmets equippable by any class
  • Two new weapon variants
  • New Sector - Residential Sector


Free update contains:
  • Three new missions
  • New boss monster
  • 20 new medals



Armory DLC pack:


Howell Barrex Inc. were always the best in the field of weapon production. Now they are presenting 2 new weapon variants for Special Forces to test in the field of battle. New Sector gates have been opened; explore the residential sector and face its perils.


New equippable helmets:

No matter what class he selects, player can pick one of eight class helmets to equip.
Additionally, player can choose one of two bonus helmets:
Viking helmet – because everyone wants to look like a Viking while fighting mutants.
Pumpkin helmet – because mutants are afraid of pumpkins. Or not?

New weapons:

LMG Bulwark pattern
- Weapon that excels while holding position
- Receives half the normal bonus from critical damage while holding position and has no critical chance while moving.

LMG Creed pattern
- Fires explosive rounds
- Does not deal critical damage, but damage increases with a number of mutants killed.
- Fills the gap between GAR and minigun, achieving high damage output while retaining reasonable ammo consumption.

New map, Residential sector:

Players who own the DLC pack can host games in a new residential sector. It features multitude of small residential structures connected to a central power system, and increased number of tough slow moving. It seems allowing fast food restaurants on Mars was a bad idea after all.

New boss type mutant:
The Specimen makes it’s appearance late into the game, in the overrun stage. It’s abilities make it… interesting to deal with.

Three new missions:
- Reaper turret, in which players need to locate and destroy the mighty Reaper turret. Turret will attack both players and mutants, so sometimes choosing not destroying the turret might be a good tactical decision

- Reaper assembly, where players need to locate three parts of Reaper turret and bring it to the assembly point, where the pieces will be put together. Assembled turret can be placed anywhere on the map, where it will present a great tactical asset, shredding through the enemies. Every now and then it will overheat and require manual reactivation.

- VLAK evacuation
Players will now be presented with the challenge of escaping the colony through the VLAK transport system. Players will need to defend their vehicle from being destroyed by mutant attacks while in transit.

20 New medals and achievements:
We have added the final batch of achievements to collect. Some of them are designed as an insanely difficult challenge for the most hardened players, while others can be achieved by ordinary mortals. Medals are granted per successful evacuation and completion of a story mission.
