- All dynamic lamps and lights are optimised with fade distance and correct attenuation radius.
- The stack (huge tower) has been disassembled (a large job as it was made of a lot of parts that were hard to select).
- Additional portal added to test frame rates in various places.
- New path from bottom of smugglers run, making the journey to the esoteric gate somewhat easier and less prone to death by falling.

This will not be a tester release yet as there are specific things missing from this build, however I am pleased to announce that the problem areas that were getting approximately 7-11fps on a 3070RTX are now getting a healthy 90fps. There are some large problem areas that I will be dealing with shortly however they are not effecting massive drops to the FPS like the previous issues that have been removed.

Pre-Release Feb Update (Major) now live for testers.

The Wickie: Latest Release Notes Feb 14th Version Now Available for Playtesting

Gamers and adventure enthusiasts alike can now experience the latest version of The Wickie, which is available for playtesting. This version includes new experimental features that have yet to be fully documented.

In an effort to streamline gameplay, the option to play guitar has been removed from the game. The developers found that it added little to the game and did not contribute to the overall story.

However, players can still discover guitar-playing areas in the game, hidden as Easter eggs for those who seek them out.

The game's standard levels include Day 1 Introduction, Day 1, Dreams 1, NES 1, Day 2, and Books. Some of the books in the game are readable, and players can pick them up and store them, dropping them as needed. Players can only carry one book at a time, so strategic decision-making is required.

The game encourages players to explore and follow clues, but be wary of pitfalls and traps along the way. The island changes and morphs throughout the game, reflecting the mental state of the main character.

As the game is still under development, players can expect to encounter bugs or glitches, which will be addressed through regular patches and updates.

The Wickie offers an immersive and challenging gaming experience that will test players' wits and perseverance. Are you brave enough to explore the secrets of the island? Play The Wickie and find out!
